Some brilliant moments there. Legend 💜 you will be missed on the cobbles Helen. Gail was everyone's next door neighbour, from living at Elsie's to dealing with a difficult mother in law and then a young widow with a son. Newly married and new children. Raising them on the street. Liberal views on a conservative street - she played a post Thatcher and then new labour northern mum so well. Helen played Gail with conviction and courage, her heart always open to fellas, and she was a doozy for a bloke struggling with his emotions. I 🤔 Joe was the ultimate for her but he was let down by his own ego when they could have been so happy. And David and Tina too given half the chance. But David found Kylie and a new chapter began for Gail. Brought along early by Sarah Lou. An open heart to young and old and her struggle at times to understand David was the pinnacle. I could keep writing. As there were her friendships, deirdre, Sally and of course her mum. She always had someone to have a glass of wine with. Burgeoning on the lower middle classes but her feet firmly knew where home was and clicked three times. Thank goodness she never moved to Oz. Onward and upward Helen and I hope and know the writers will give Gail the exit storyline she so deserves.
1:40 Almost perfect clip, but you missed out the best part. The part that comes after. *Deirdre:* “She wants LOCKING UP AGAIN!” *Gail:* “Yeah, and this time I’LL BE GUILTY!”
There's nothing funny about gail, she was one boring character for the last 50 years, audrey, ken and rita should be next to go, they don't have any storylines, they just have a line here or there, coronation street has too many fossils and it's time the show revamped itself with alot of new characters to replace all the old ones
12:02 - "Happy birthday, Gail! No nuts."
The way she says it absolutely sends me. Comedy genius.
50 years is a good run Helen can not go on forever the show is dire atm maybe she jumped
Jumped?
'Come on Eileen.' Brilliant 😂

David was an awful son. Pretending to be Richard Hillman and pushing her down the stairs.
