TDS does not have a good start in 2024, it's probably hard to have any faith in the TDS developer. Despite that this video has no intention of harassing the developer, the point of this video is to explain why the TDS has been getting a lot of bugs. If you find the video missing something out or you want to correct it, that's also appreciated! Anyways if you have other question, you may reply to this comments and I see if I can answer!
I was told that the bugs mostly come from revamping parts of the old code, merging both the old and new code sometimes cause unexpected issues that can slip by unnoticed especially due to razuatix old goofy ahh code this quite reminds me of how roblox often goes down, the entire game base/core code from bot hthe website and game is too old and they can't afford to change it as it would cause too much problem, making the code extremely unstable, so whenever roblox changes a bit of code, it sometimes causes roblox to go down for quite some time, not because their server sucks (they use the same servers as fortnite). i can also quite relate as i am also re doing the entire code of my own game im pretty sure once they finish to revamp most of the code, it will stabilize
We used to call TDS "Tower Delay Simulater" now its "Tower Debugging Simulater" since there are trying to fix the bugs and glitches but there are holes everywhere and there are unexpected.
Disclaimer: I am not aware of the current state of tds code, and I am making an assumption to prove a point, so take this with a major grain of salt, TL;DR at the end. I feel like most people tend to forget that TDS is a 5 years old game at this point, and the devs have to work with code that is at the bare minimum 4 years old (that is if the overhaul update majorly changed code, otherwise it could even be 5 years old), and most games of that era either take months to release a new update, or are rewriting their code in a major way to keep updates rolling in the future. A great example of that would be Arsenal (yes, the dreaded game with the collab that never came), they are currently working on a rebuild from the ground up as current Arsenal code is no longer viable to update (hence why the collab never came, as the fault was on Arsenal's side), but doing something lile that takes a lot of time (To this day A2 or Arsenal Reloaded is barely in its early Beta state, and the devs have been working on it since late 2022) and most people are not interested in waiting months or even years for something like that... Also bear in mind that Roblox from 2020 onwards has changed a lot, and has deprecated and/or forced updates onto developers games that flat out break games, and most of the time devs are never warned about this until a week before the update rolls, so devs have to find a band-aid fix until they can make a proper one, this is why most old games from before 2017 dont work, or barely work. TL;DR: TDS code is old and probably a mess so adding new features is very troublesome, a major code rewrite could fix it, somethibg similar to what Arsenal is currently doing but that would take a lot of time and people dont like waiting and Roblox forcing gamebrekaing updates onto older games with little to no time to react that cause major bugs that may cause further problems in the future.

I tried tds for the first time, played the tutorial, then was completely unable to place any towers other than the 2 starting towers making it completely impossible for me to complete the tutorial due to how much it railroads you. Really NOT a good first impression for a game.
I think this is the same reason as ps99 when it was at the start with weekly updates where they had to rush everything and having no rest just to get inf complains from the community and taking a day or more to fix the bugs
I think it’s because the consumables update has a new system and the game got a new UI and maybe the new system messes up more things that messes everytime a update drops

yeah theres a glitch where you can open a crate and,if you dont get the skin you want you,just go on a diff device and join tds while your other device still has the skin you havnt claimed yet then when you rejoin the other device will get disconnected and you will have your coins back so open another. ps this may only work 2-3 times so yeah
You are a qa tester, can I please report a bug I don't know if has been fixed yet Basically I really like the rocketeer, I've been using it on this new account I made ever since the recent buff, but recently i encountered a bug where half of his shots don't connect, despite looking like they should. Im pretty certain this has something to do with the damage counter being fixed as it arose that update. Just reporting as I know not a lot of people use rocketeer, obviously I understand its not gonna be top priority to fix a random intermediate tower, but if you could add it to a list of bugs to fix or something, that'd be nice.

That's not the problem, the problem is, instead of fixing the bugs that actually need to be fixed, instead they just push out random other bug fix updates. For example, the issue where you could place more than 5 different towers? Fixed immediately. Warden being bugged for almost a month now? Not fixed. Ace pilot not doing damage when a bomb is being dropped? Not fixed. While they did fix the tanks not doing damage, the explosions do no damage and cancel the gun from doing damage just like ace pilot. Seeing something? They aren't fixing the bugs that actually need to be fixed, and are instead fixing other things that no one cares about

TDX : 2-3 Devs, No bugs I've encountered so far. TDX Updates : takes mostly very long time but mostly worth the wait. TDS : More than that, Alot of bugs, bad code, Absulutely "Pray" that this game is optimized. Im sure Its just doesnt even optimized It just spigetti's slurpted out a bit instead of cleaning them one by one. TDS was a fun game. Til it turned into boring grindfest with same things over and over again. TDX Had different paths which added alot more replayability. But TDS... Yeah I think they need TDS 2 to clean things out.

roblox is hard to be optimized but for a game like tds, its kinda hard to optimize it when you have a lot of explosion going on, unlike other game.

dont think the community themself are 100% reliable source of feedback, they would just want every tower to be buffed.
