Honestly, the frost invasion event was a huge moment for TDS. It brought new, current, and old players (like me) to the game. Personally for me, frost invasion was the best update for me. It was so fun grinding the game out unlocking towers, skins, and emotes. This game has been so fun to play and I hope other players have a similar experience as me! Thanks for making this video Propellers, it brought back many memories!

Although I started in the 2020 Easter update, a lot of my friends started in the frost event, so that period has some of the best tds memoires for me. Also by the by the time the solar eclipse event came out, I was the only one in my friend group still playing because everyone quit in the immense wait.
9:30 The party skins actually came from a pre-hardcore Christmas event, as for celebrating new years. You could purchase a gift box containing the 3 party skins for scout, soldier, and minigunner. It was the same event that had the archer and frost blaster.

I remember starting to somewhere around June 2021 and I was so confused when I saw a frost event but man it was amazing I had so much trying to beat and I eventually beat it with 3 amazing teammates I wish the Halloween of 2023 is as good
Froat invasion event is one of the best experienced I've ever played. And its still is today! The lobby music is good! Got all the battlepass but sadly never got the sledger and it was insane that it lasted long than the Halloween 2020 event. The time thag i thought i played tds when frost invasion event was still around until i hear the Halloween 2020 lobby music my memory shows that i played tds back in November 2020 when this event was still new. Im probably gonna say this but i dont think your gonna like my opinion. Halloween 2020 lobby music is my 2nd favorite lobby music cause this was the reason how i came back to play tds (by accident)
Would like to mention the Matchmaking update, that was easily the most drawn-out/delayed update in TDS history.
It was first announced on April 22nd 2020, and then went into testing in November 2020, with public testing going from January - March 2021, then the Invite Testing in November 2021. The next thing we got about it was in August 2022, where a testing place was sneakily added with no announcement to (iirc the paradoxum games group), then it was finally added alongside the Badlands 2 update on September 30th 2022.
In total, we waited for 892 days or 2 years, 5 months 1 week and 2 days.
^ also this is literally just the public beta release in the main game lmao, we're still waiting on the full release which is likely coming in a couple more months/years.

I joined TDS in Frost Invasion and I remember having so much fun discovering all the cool things you can do. And the recliner emote was so swag!! The chat was literally INFECTED with bots spamming "EVENT EVENT EVENT EVENT" x50 and also the annoying pain of people trying to join your solo game. Though frost invasion had many flaws, it still was the most memorable part of my experience playing TDS.

I gotta agree. I would say the Solar Eclipse and Frost Invasion events were the best content updates TDS has got. I am honestly not a fan of these new circular type of events.

when i first started playiing around the time frost invasion came out there was a time they were testing the matchmaking and razuatix happend to join MY server
Lets never forget the only reason people hated the halloween event was because of the music! Frost Invasion lasted way longer and I didn't see very many people pissed at all.

Bro everyone was tired of the update and started joking around like "Tower Delay Simulator".
Plus frost invasion removed the old polutted wastelands and 8 player mega servers so the 6 month delay was kind of a blessing since we could still use and play those features
The music worsened my mental health significantly

this is when there were barely any level requirements and you could just hide in the lobby 30 lobby
The reason why Frost invasion actually took so long is because Sledger had to walk all the way through the mountains to get to TDS
Man tds has a place in my heart because when frost invasion was released, it was literally in my bday.
This gave me a flashback to a time i don't want to remember but if i didn't I'd would not be able to look back on this time in the games history
It just felt really dry after you did the Halloween event,well except for the bloxy award that was a very special moment for the community
Personally the way they started out 2023 so far has been smart, it polished the game a lot more while at giving them time to do bigger updates.

i remember when i just quit the game when the halloween 2020 update started because of the giant overhaul, but rejoined in february 2021. For some reason i kinda enjoyed the halloween 2020 lobby being their for a long time
Frost invasion made me join TDS and i have been playing almost everyday ever since, i remember the joy when i obtained sledger when i was around level 40, i got carried and won the event, this one was actually the happiest i have ever been in tds, as my gamer tag has always been connected to ice, getting a limited ice-related tower was something a newbie would dream for, and after just unlocking engineer, its just amazing to see, how far a simple tds game can make you go: new friendships, joy, and most importantly, 3 WEEKS OF GRINDING FOR GPYRO AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
i had to buy it because every other game i was being matched with npcs who were bringing farm💀

frost invasion event is the only event i have played a lot more then any events in tds and the thing i liked about frost invasion event was the lobby music was just chill.
Trick or threat was the the event thing when the first time i played but everything seemed all too complicated so i just left tds right after and only came back once the frost event rolled around (i still sucked and failed that too) and ive failed basically every event
at 6:47 I remember being in this server and was honestly surprised to see myself (pugarecool2) standing all the way in the back of the photo when the bloxies were being talked about in this video which was such a good and fond memory for me so thank you for reminding me and now I get to think "Hey I got into a game and have a photos with the devs, John, and propellers"

Frost Invasion was somehow for everyone, like new players can participate in the event even tho theyre just starting out, to be fair they do need minigunner or shotgunner, and maybe pyro, but still the fact remains that you didnt need alot of units to participate, even if with these towers you can help out your team win
Yeah, I played for a whole 3 months and got lucky with my first golden crate which turned out to be g mini. This was when I realized I could finally help in a frost invasion match without being a pesky noob. I ended up winning and am now level 274

I remember being the noob I was at the time, I played the Frost Invasion. Of course I had no idea what strategies there were because my best tower was like minigunner or sumthin.
Honestly, I just woke up in the morning on that day and went to discord to check some messages and see if the update was released, with absolutely no hope. Until I saw an announcement pop up, it was 8:40 AM in Germany. Expectations were leaks or another delay but no, it was a server shutdown with a full change log. No human could experience the joy I had when I heard this was happening I immediately called my best friend who has been waiting with me for the PAST 6 MONTHS, even better he picked up and we started going ham like 9 year olds. 60 thousand players, the highest it ever been more than a 500% increase. Suprisingly the Eclipse took longer but it wasn't atleast delayed (I think)
I remember I was getting hyped for the Frost Invasion event lol. I also can't believe it happened 2 years ago, like what? Either way, the update was very good even in todays standards.

i agree even tho i didn't win the event and just decided to buy the event tower i still miss the frost invasion
the frost invasion lasted so long that I was able to find the game a few weeks after the event dropped, get good at the game, get to level 150, get 2 golden crates, and beat molten on every regular map
with enough time to take a month long break from the game before the eclipse event dropped
the sledger was my first event tower and it was my favorite tower in TDS
I never did the events for the towers because I pretty much only played for golden crates and events, and after that I would never play and when I didn’t for like more than like 6 months I would lose the event towers, the same happened with frost blaster, slasher, GLADIATOR AND COMMANDO
bro the lobby music was fire and I got the frost spirit to 1000 hp then died rip. Also with Umbra, we got it to half health like when it was a quarter of the way through but it bugged and spammed the arrow so we lost

I remember playing tds around may 2021 when frost invasion came out but i play tds on August 2020 for sometime so when i came back i on level 20 if i remember i so surprised by how many thing has changed and also i remember how happy im when i beat frost invasion like a 1m hp boss that spawn and literal 40k hp nah man and also i the military base bug that every player use to beat hardcore lol and the player waiting for another 6 goddamn month just to get another big update

Frost invasion was my first event that i participated and won, i joied first time on the endo of halloweern event won 1 game than forgot about it, than i joined back after the frost invasion released, grinded, got battle pass done before reaching event , than i won the event before reaching lvl 50, than hardcore grind , than lvl 75, and than reaching lvl 100, than i got gold pyro, scout, mini. That was big path for me, frost invasion still my favourite event, this cold theme was really cool and it made me feel like im in the game, i really want this event back, but there is no way to play it again... I miss it.
The amount of regret I have from starting in 2019 with only the John tower and no interest to the game and quitting is unmeasurable. I’m now actually decent at the game and wish there would be another update like the solar eclipse event and not just a couple of new maps, mid skins(in my opinion), and patches.

I lost my main tds account of the specific on time night 3 release. I played about 4 matches decided to try again tomorrow. But that was the last time roblox would let me on, because i logged on not in an account for some reason and i couldnt even log back in. The account was '1980sDayRise' and it was level 73.

The frost event really is a long update.. Maybe because they delay it is bug fixes of the 4 lane and stuff, I played when the hallowen even started. Yes, i played in 2020

I found a way to get to the under map backrooms you need to jump onto a hardcore lift after someone else has gone down and hope you glitch in then jump of onto the box you fall through the roof and are there
I did frost event a few times but the frist time i ever did it... We won. I was so low level and never played tds a lot before but we won and i got sledher... Thank you to those people with accelerator and commander. Thank you for carrying me

They should add sandbox in tds to put your towers to the test, even events for everyone for free so if they never did that event, they can spawn stuff from it without doing the event, but you don’t get the tower reward or gems or any coins, no rewards but sandbox would cost 10k coins. You have infinte cash and infinte base hp
