I understand the joke, but honestly I always have more of an issue playing a Les Paul standing up because of how freaking bottom heavy they are. They get tiring.

A truly beautiful Strat! The block inlays with the neck bindings look bold and downright intrepid. The humbuckers look and sound kickass. I am a Jazzmaster man myself, but I would love to own this badass Strat. Fender, you just blew my mind!
Well, it's official! I have to buy yet another instrument without the wife finding out....... Just when I thought I had everything I needed. Thanks, Fender! 😉
I just built a strat/tele/LP hybrid. Black strat body with a maple tele neck, two Saturday Night Special humbuckers on a five-way super switch, one vol, one tone, and the tone pot is a push/pull phase switch. Build that one for the masses Fender, it's the absolute all-in-one tone machine... With a little sass...and make it affordable.
@@keithjohnston5936 I would love that as well... Coincidentally, the build before the one I posted about was a daphne blue strat with custom pink hardware for my son, his idea.... But what was cool is I powder coated all the parts pink, bridge included. Very cool guitar, pink spertzels, pink pickups, pink input jack and neckplate, and got that engraved with his logo. Really cool guitar. I'm surprised more people don't do custom powder coating, it really does work well.
@@yaboidustin2447 I just purchased this guitar and I think it's worth every penny. That's how much a real quality guitar cost. My Les Pauls were $2,500.00 Each. Both Amazing sounding and beautiful works of art. Between $600.00 and $1500.00 are good guitars. Anything less than $400 you will have to put money in To make it sound the way you would have got in the 1st place if you would have put up the money for the better guitar.
What an awesome Fender guitar; almost sounds like a Gibson SG thanks to their amazing Humbuckers yet it’s definitely a Strat through & through 😉 🙏 😊 🎸 😎 👏 Also, I’ve never heard of The Cold Stares before;!this guy is one hell of a great 👍 musician 👨🎤 ☝️ 🥶
Can't afford it new OR used, but I'd say this is the first Fender that would make me put up with the pig-lead weight for the sake of the final result. You have really made a stand-out instrument, I love it from what I see of it!
One local to me for $2k. Steeper than I ever pay on guitars but this video made it seem really great. The humbuckers, the inlays, the knobs out of the way, the switch from downtown to uptown. I think I may have to get it if he will accept $1750. I was going to go with an EJ strat next but this one seems to be more unique.
The ONLY 2 things they should have did to make it stand out ... make it a set 12" radius neck since they went gibson scale on it & the 70's large style headstock. IF they added those 2 elements to this it would have made it perfect. Otherwise its very nice & BIG +++ on the toggle switch suround saying uptown or downtown !! :)
Awesome guitar and a truly killer guitarist and songwriter. If you haven’t heard The Cold Stares do yourself a favor and check them out. Chris and Brian are incredible!
I love the playfulness of the parallel universe series. Plus they’re great working guitars not expensive collector grade and not bargain things that would need a bunch of upgrades.
this guitar is honestly a lot more badass looking than generic strato also like it's thicker look and sound so much better in my eyes but hey i was never too big into stratocasters
I like this. Another Fender I would totally love to own. But dang, $2k. Pretty steep. I paid $899 for a 24.75" Fender in the form of a Powercaster. I thought that was steep given it's not USA made. I also had to put some money into it because the wiring work was rather shoddy and the bridge pickup was super weak. Is this Uptown USA made?
Nathan Feinstein of Iya Terra has one of these in their new Single "Ease and Grace", this guitar needs to be around for a long while, it is on a different level compared to the other PUs.
i can finally play Les Paul comfortably sitting down
Same
Right!?
If there was a belly cut, yeah...
I understand the joke, but honestly I always have more of an issue playing a Les Paul standing up because of how freaking bottom heavy they are. They get tiring.
I mean there are Les Pauls with belly cuts too
I'm just glad they don't have a knob right under the bridge pickup
I feel ya
Yeah man, I've got that on my epiphone les paul, really annoying when gigging - constantly smacking your hand on it and changing the pickup
Absolutely. That's the thing I've always hated about Strats. It's why I own a Schecter Nick Johnson!
Now that's how a demo should be done! Love the Cold Stares and Chris Tapp is a top notch player.
That’s the first Strat that legit sounds like a Les Paul. Gibson you are in further trouble.
Dude! I said the same thing except I think it resembles an "SG"!
SG! No doubt
Nice guitar ! The Cold Stares are riff misters !! Wow !!
How can it sound like a les paul when it hasnt got single piece of maple for fucks sake go visit ent doc
@@김기태-m2l lmfao so if I put a pick up in a maple tree it'll sound like a Les Paul?
Les Paul's and Leo Fender's LOVE CHILD!! TOO COOL!!
Amazing guitarist. The Cold Stares are incredible.
Yeah the drummers my uncle his wife gave me my profile name I’ve met him too
A strat with a gibson Les Paul’s face. A like it!
friendly reminder that you are not allowed to say gibson or les paul on this channel.

Finally a Les Paul that stays in tune!!! :)
Really like the finish on this, love a good transparent white finish and the bound neck is a nice cherry on top.
I was struck by how much the aesthetics appealed to me. It really is a classy axe.
I am so in love with the way those Humbuckers are set!!!
Well, it's official! I have to buy yet another instrument without the wife finding out.......
Just when I thought I had everything I needed. Thanks, Fender! 😉
This guitar has a BOOMING sound. He's right on the harmonics as well. Best guitar I've ever played; without question.
Finally a Strat with a full tone, thing sounds awesome. Will be buying one
Great demo, looks like a pretty versatile choice for someone to cover lots of styles. Love the cold stares!
Bert Kreischer really shreds.
The Machine!
Holy smokes!! I can’t decide if I’m an Uptown or Downtown Girl! I’m loving the Parallel Universe! Awesome demo, Chris!!!!

Their MIM Nashville Telecaster is the bomb. Too bad their finishes are so limited: everything looks like a 60s appliance.
@@homeworldmusic i love 60s appliances
If I could get a Nashville Tele with a Sonic (Daphne?) blue body with a maple board, I’d have one.

A Fender well suited for Stoner Rock/Metal. And it’s gorgeous.
Guitar tones are definitely the best I’ve heard of any Strat/LP hybrid. Bravo fender. And this dudes riffs are sick
I love that fuzz-like tone!
What a great demo Chris- Kudos for that!!!
I love how fender are making some genuinely making some cool guitars instead of just repeating the popular stuff forever (cough cough Gibson)
Great job Fender!! What a gem in the collection of greatness🎸
Love this video and love the Cold Stares!
I love the Fender Parallel Universe! What a wonderful guitar!
Hey that’s @thecoldstares yes!!!! Omg. LOVE

I'm more of a Les Paul guy myself, but I love this Strat! Well done Fender.
This one would have KILLED in the 80s
Beautifil, powerful and dangerous!!!!!! So much!!!! Saving money from now!
I don't know about it sounding like a Les paul that everyone keeps claiming, but man that's a nice guitar! The player in this video is awesome too!
Digging the Les Tele ;)
Always wondered if Fender ever did any guitars with a shorter scale and this upload proves it.
Triple p90 strat coming soon?
I keep coming back to hear the opening track.
Dude this is brutal. Sick riffs.
Absolutely love The Cold Stares!
that uptown-downtown poker chip is a nice touch

Love the Q.o.t.s.a. vibe. Cool musical number.👍😷🎸🎸🎶🎶
The guitar FENDER NEEDED SINCE DECADES ! Hope it will be a serial model for the future and made in vintera series too 👍

I can think of two more. Black painted headstock and an "adjustomatic" bridge. Really commit to the bit.
Awesome guitar and a truly killer guitarist and songwriter. If you haven’t heard The Cold Stares do yourself a favor and check them out. Chris and Brian are incredible!
The Cold Stares are badass. Awesome man!
Sounds like an SG and a Strat at the same time. Killer guitar. Is it the only colour?
Am going to purchase this 😄👌🎸🔥❤️

That opening. Damn.
Every time this video starts it feels like my speakers are ripping apart. In the best possible way.
Looks so cool!
Uptown Strat and Troublemaker Tele are some of the nicest looking guitars around.
Nice choice of riffs and licks for the demo, I couldn't resist picking up my guitar and figuring stuff out.
Me too
Basically same as tele-sonic. Was so glad to sell mine. Mahogany was too dead even after I swapped the diArmands for Filtertrons. It never felt good.
"Why you so angry bro?" meme comes to mind, looking at his constant frown!
They got the styling spot on, a part from the pickup Selector... It looks a bit lost. . Would prefer a fixed bridge and it sounds really meaty!
Great riffs, especially session at the end - will check this band out! This guy has sold these right out for fender no prob.
I really don't know scrap about guitars... Cep't that thing sounded like a Les Paul to me !
Very nice ! 👍👍
Reminds me of the old Robben Ford model. I like it
this guitar is honestly a lot more badass looking than generic strato

so much better in my eyes
but hey i was never too big into stratocasters
Please make a left handed version 🙏 I'd love to get my hands on the parallel universe guitars
Bad ass demo and bad ass guitar
Will own this.
Bad ass riffs right there
Gibson should make a les Paul shape strat to troll fender back
I think they better just concentrate on getting the Les Paul right.
The better focus on fixing their neck issues.
They already tried that... ruclips.net/video/JTNv9i6Mq2w/видео.html
They already did, it's called Challenger iii.
Wow good to know lol
Makes that fender hot!
Good work Tapp 👍🏼 Got a chili pepper vibe on the neck pickup clean 💪🏼
Smart move from fender. Big Like 👍🏼
Really cool guitar. I think this be popular.
Mad riffs on this one. Bravo dude. I like the fuzz. LP scale on a strat is bad ass too,
So sick
And troublemaker tele bridge, or better yer yet a real tele brass saddle bridge!
Anything but the two point trem!
24.75 scale, that fretboard style, look at pickup.. wow this will be my next!
Troublemaker Tele body with this neck would be the shit!
That guitar looks sick
The Cold Stares rock! Love the sound of the fender
I love it but will love it better with the cbs headstock.
it's very cool! great sound!
I want to buy!
It's cool but probably a few grand and I think it's more fun to modify or build one yourself.
Thanks fender ❤️
Give me a headstock that matches the body, add a Bigsby, and make it a thin line and you can have all my money
you mean you want the headstock to have the same type of wood as the body?
@@svst208 He means the paint
The wood is already mahogany on both body and neck
Black headstock would be nice too!
would an inverted one be very ambitious?

if this had a wraparound bridge it'd pretty much be a doublecut Special: "TV" finish, tortoiseshell pickguard, bound neck...
What songs are played in that video? Awesome riffs!

It's beautiful 😲
high drive reviewer from fender as always at the level of 100/100-(:
It has that straty sound but bordering towards a gibson sg and les paul.. it's a very different sound
I would’ve loved to see the rest of the guitar preferably the back
