- I love Gahyeon's vocals in here. One of the few songs where she belts, there's also this emotion in her voice.
- She also said that one time she thought she messed up, but then heard Dami come in with: You're doing everything just fine 😅

- Yes, there's the Dingo performance, which is a must-watch, and there's also their performance on Music Bank, which is also a must-watch.
Yep, I think this album will be in 4 x 1h30m parts 😅 and I like it.
I normally wouldn't say both performances of a show are a must-watch, but I agree with crispy-chicken's final point here.
There are indeed OT7 versions of songs from Dystopia: Tree of Language! At the moment they aren’t on any albums and were only performed at concerts
EDIT: There’s an OT7 version of Red Sun they did for Webtoon Singer. Big vampire vibes with the styling and big Castlevania vibes with the slightly remixed instrumental

So, in Korea the term "Red Sun" is synonymous with being hypnotized because it was the catch phrase from a famous hypnotist from like the 90s or 00s. So the song is trying to hypnotize you! Dami said the laugh is her in Red Sun.
I've been sooooo waiting for this. I knew this album was going to be a wild ride for you. I can't tell you how much I love this album. It's so diverse and amazing, it's the perfect example f just how versatile and talented these 7 (or at this point 6 😔) women are.
I could literally go on for hours about this album, but I'll you and everyone else and try to keep this down to 2 or three points per song.
Tension
Re; first steps. The first step is both the most important and least consequential step you take. It's important because without that first step the journey never begins. Whether it's just going for a walk and getting yourself a treat or deciding your life's path you have to take that first step. As you said, you can agonize and overthink all the possibilities and outcomes, delaying that first step or even, in some cases, deciding not to take it or you can just get moving and make changes along the way. It's also the least consequential, as you said, because you can also make adjustments along the way.
Where you end up does not rely on those first few steps, but whether or not you get there, or anywhere, does.
Red Sun
I believe the instrument you were asking about is a harpsichord, or at the very least a synth tuned to sound like one.
Take this next one with a grain of salt. I've heard this from a few different sources but I have yet to confirm it myself. The hands gestures, with the downward pointing finger, and the words Red Sun are a reference to a once famous South Korean hypnotist. He would use the hand gestures to hypnotize people and use the phrase "Red sun" as a trigger to make a person do what he hypnotized them to do or to have them snap out of it (I forget).
You'll notice that them walking in a circle in the Red Sun MV is reminiscent of them walking in a circle around Gahyeon in the Scream MV. In the Scream MV this represents Gahyeon being the victim of a modern day witch hunt (i.e. internet bullying / hate campaign). In Red Sun it's the opposite. It represents the witches casting their spells. Mostly on us. BEcause we're their victims. And I'm okay with that.
Black Or White
There's really not much I can add for this one. You did a really good job of covering everything already. I'll just confirm that it's a great song, one of my favorites.
As I said in the beginning, this is an amazing album. I would put it in my top 10, possibly top 5 all time best albums list, regardless of genre (and trust me, I've listened to a lot of albums). One of by biggest regrets, music-wise, is that I didn't buy this album when it was available. Sure, I can stream the songs and all that, but it's really not the same as owning an actual physical copy.
And, yes, it's Ollounder: pronounced Oh - Loun (like loud) - der. In other words, you got it right. Leez left between Apocalypse: For Us (Vision) and Apocalypse: From Us (Bon Voyage).

Tension is a title track contender with Good Night. Hence, it's probably why the distribution lines are kind of imbalance.
Red Sun is a catchphrase from a famous hypnotist in South Korea. There's a White Blood/Webtoon Singer version of Red Sun with a slight instrumental rearrangement and Handong.
The Dingo dance performance and the Music Bank performance of Black or White are 🔥.

P.S. In case you didn't know, there's also another song in D:TTOL physical album that wasn't available in any of the official digital/online album/playlist. It is "Over The Sky".
"Full Moon" is part of the digital album in place of "Over the Sky" in the physical, I believe.

No, you're right. Gahyeon really took it up a level (and this was a result of the producers recognizing her increased abilities) on this album.

As many have already said you should check out the White Blood ver of Red Sun. Not only is it an OT7 performance but they also remixed the song for the show.

Since you mention Link Park, in my opinion, DC is like the Linkin Park of Korea. Cause like you said, the only rock type music cooperate with rapping section and blending it so perfect is just them, and thats why for me DC is up there with Linkin Park. Besides their songs are so good to listen, and the important thing is their songs feels alive cause they gave their souls to every song that they created.

Kinda disappointed you didn't do the Black or White dingo performance. Easily another 15 minutes of panic attacks.
There's still Jazz Bar, but after that, the rest of the album can (probably) be enjoyed without danger to your health.
Oh my God I loveee love your reactions!! You highlighting how Black or White has that funky BASS but also airy Strings! A literal black and white! The opposite! Brilliant!
Plus I do highly recommend You just checking out Red Sun fancams cuz they perform it a lot in concerts and tours. Its a fan favourite, and the light engineers ALWAYS do the song justice on stage. Honestly Id skip the performance music shows. Just checkout the nicest fancam you can find. Theyr’e insane and its a whole experience honest to god.

I can't remember if anyone else brought this up or if you already knew, but I just want to emphasize that the reason the Red Sun choreo is so deadly is because SuA created it, and she was out to destroy (as she usually is when she puts on the choreographer hat).
