My theory about the sweatshirt: someone who was working in the early morning wore it but as it got hotter though out the day, they took it off and threw it in the bed of their pickup truck. It then flew out of the bed of said truck as they drove down the road, and a passerby hung it on the tree in case the owner came back around that way and wanted it back 😊 it does give me a ghostly creepy vibe though the way it’s hanging lol

I am so excited for an updated farm tour. We will never move from our coastal home, which we love but there is a part of me which is living vicariously through you Angela and your homestead and family life. ❤❤❤❤
I had taught freshmen comp for many years and wanted to come up with fun, creative mid semester assignment to break up all the research paper writing. As I drove to campus that day, I saw a single shoe by the side of the road and turned it into a prompt for what became a regular writing contest. Why is the shoe by the side of the road? What is the backstory? I gave my students free rein re genre, voice, etc. It was hilarious what they came up with! One of my faves was a voice over for a nature show "it's very unusual to see a single shoe out in the wild as they typically travel in pairs . . ." You are not alone in your questions!!

Also, it’s so refreshing to see your home “in the raw.” As beautifully designed and decorated as your home is, you still have random toys and stuff strew everywhere. Like my house! It restores my sanity.
Having the home school within the house would be so convenient for the littles……close to the bathroom!
Older kids can use the cabin for more independent work and privacy for the littles. ❤️

Yay for homeschool content!!!! The room is looking good. I love that you're never afraid to try something new. I feel like we get stuck in our ways and never change anything, even though it's not working. I'm gonna try to break out of our comfort zone box. I need more book storage.
I suggest Ikea Besta to make benches and storage all around the room, below the windows. A table in one corner for homeschooling and the other corners for the playroom. :D
Can we just talk for a second about how Benjamin is going to be an absolute giant? He's growing like a weed! Such a cutie too!

I know this was filmed earlier but I’m on day two of the flu- not sure where your energy comes from. I don’t want to move from the bed!! Regarding the jacket, we also live rural and a lot of times things fly out of a vehicle and the mail lady either hangs it up or places on top the nearest mailbox in hopes that the owner will drive by and retrieve it. I’ve had a toddler shoe, sandal & sock placed on top our mailbox😂. Always a single!
I am so glad to hear that other rearranging rooms often. To find the best use of space. I have 8 kids too and constantly rearranging until I find the best use of space!!

So, I just have to share this (as embarrassing as it may be lol!). As I was watching this video, I started to doze off (not because I was bored---your videos are never boring to me---but rather because it has been an INCREDIBLY long day, it's that time of month, AND I'm sick), and your horn honk jolted me awake and scared the crap out of me haha! I haven't had a jumpy moment as big as that one in a long time lol!

Funny story about the shoe thing! So my family was taking a road trip one time, going down the freeway. There was a car beside us, and I was watching a little toddler in their carseat in the backseat, with the window rolled down, they were playing with their shoes and started waiving one of them out the window, and I think the wind caught a hold of it or something, but it went flying! The kid sat up in surprise, said something (probably), because then the mom turned around in the front and said something, and the window slowly rolled up! I have been very wary of having the windows rolled down with my kids in the car because of that, especially when they were younger!
I cannot wait to see some of your gardening plans and farm update. ☀️
So fun! Can’t wait to see the reveal. I would put the hutch in front of one of the windows into the house (dining room or entryway). You could hang a curtain on the other side so you don’t see the back of the furniture. Just a thought so you don’t block the actual windows.
I love this. I also have a homeschool room that is a room of windows. I love the light and airy space ,however my 7 have way too much they don't even use that I need to go thru! So thanks for the ideas!

Love the new piece in the homeschool room! Very pretty. I was working from home while I had this clog on in the background. I also jumped and may have screamed when you honked your horn. I then cracked up for longer than necessary and replayed that part multiple times. I had tears!!! Hilarious and so something I would do.
I am so late getting on today 😅I am staying at my daughter’s house watching my 3 fur babies while they are out of town watching my grandson Pitch for his college baseball team. He is a freshman and so exciting he is doing so well. I digress, I love the piece of furniture for your homeschool!!!!!! A jacket in a tree at the end of my drive would freak me out too. My granddaughter has a white lab service dog for her Autism to help her cope and not have too many meltdowns. Ranger also goes to the hospitals in our area and meets with all the medical staff to help the, cope with the stresses. Have a blessed day❤️❤️❤️
In Germany and Switzerland we hang lost things on trees or benches, so someone can find it . And the shoes are stolen from foxes and on the side of the street sometimes the fox changes the shoe for an animal.
Shoes in the road storytime: my dad was picking fun at my step moms shoes and her lack of ability to walk in them so she rolled the window down and threw them out😅 now everytime i see shoes in the road i just assume someone rolled their window down and tossed them 😂

Person A dropped a jacked and person B walked by later, took it and hung it on the tree so when person A comes back next, the jacket will be easily found. This happens all the time in Scotland where I am.
This happens all the time in the US also. It could have fallen out of someone's car or the back of a pickup! A kind soul picked it up and hung it in the tree so that it wouldn't keep getting ran over. Hopefully the person who lost it would drive by and see. I have seen articles of clothing or shoes on fence posts along the road - same thing!

Jacket, someone was walking? Saw jacket, and hung it, it probably flew out the back of someone's truck. Old people do that up here with things from the side of the road all the time. And my mind goes exactly where yours went, you aren't alone in that, lol

Favorite weird thing!!! In my teens we did highway clean up for all those reduce, reuse, recycle campaigns! I found men underwear on the side of a major highway?!? 😮 What happened there? There was no pull off the road spots??? Accident??? Seggy times in high speeds??? None of the scenarios I can come up with account for it. Lol

The jacket could have accidentally flown out of the back of a work truck, been noticed by someone driving by and then hung on the branch so that it could be easily seen if the owner was looking for it. So much litter comes from loose objects thrown out of open truck beds. If it is a Carhart, it is likely pricey and probably belongs to a farmer or construction worker.
