inc = increase (2 sc in the next stitch)
dec = decrease (join the next 2 stitches into 1)

Lovely pattern! I used a super chunky yarn and a 9mm hook. It made a really cute larger bag. I made the strap thicker by slip stitching into the back loop of every chain, and will add a loop and button close to the open part. Thanks for the inspo 😍

Try using the same pattern but make the hook size bigger and the yarn if needed

Probably to make it a little bigger than the back piece at the top where the opening is?
I think its a mistake, it should be 36, because in the video a whole round was done with sc.

Why is my work turning into a bowl and not flat?
You are most likely not doing the increases correctly which can make the work too tight and form into a bowl shape. Try counting your stitches to make sure you have the correct amount at the end of each round (the creator has written 12, 24, 36 etc). Hope that helps!

Look up how to make a magic ring, there are some good tutorials out there
Don't give up! Magic rings can be tricky and there's an easier way. Make a slipknot, chain maybe 5-10 and then slipstitch into the 1st chain you made. You can put your double crochets into this ring instead! Hope that helps.
