holy wow did I not expect the turn that this episode took! first of all, I loved that Emily was there waiting for them and actually had a good time with them. I also could really feel the tension building from the moment max told Rory it was 11:00, basically telling her it was time to come in. i didn't appreciate that at all but I thought the talk with lorelai after was good and needed. Then the whole conversation at the hotel! oof- big oof 😅
