- Alright we're finally back with another episode of my game collecting shenanigans. Apparently buying a house means you can't spend your money on games (or at least, not as often) BUT we're on the pickups grind again. And wouldn't you know it, I lied! I've succumbed to the CIB GBA illness, and I also got some new PS5, PSP, PS1, Wii, and GameCube games. Pretty cool right? And all it cost was a little over $500. *crying in the corner*.

I always appreciate that you never really have anything bad to say about the other consoles and their generations. Obviously your preference goes to Playstation which you really love but you still casually collect and like the other consoles. I dont know but I feel the Game Collecting Community can be kind of Elite in their console preferences and its nice and refreshing to see you embrace everything in some way
I’ve always been the same way. Playstation was my first favorite but I have a special place for Nintendo and Xbox / PC.

Personally I think this is how it should be done. I was mostly a PC gamer for now but I still like playing with consoles. People should think what he is doing takes a lot of time, space and money. Currently I own one desktop computer I built myself recently, one newish laptop, one old desktop pc (Windows XP era) and laptop, PS3 and PS5. My first consoles I had when were NES and Atari because my family was too poor for something like PlayStation.
I feel like I have too much electronic these days but I still look at cheap handhelds instead of using my phone which I have two of them. I think people these days spend too much time looking on RUclips someone else playing or engaging in petty fanboy arguments over games than ACTUALLY enjoying them. Honestly sometimes I miss the pre-internet and 2000s internet times before current corporate cable television internet.
console wars is just an internet thing for children not for adults
@@Luhiner You would be surprised that I have seen people still doing this in their 30s. I have to agree that the console wars between PS3 vs Xbox 360 or Nintendo vs Sega was something that 99.999999999999% of people didn't care and lived on in very few people's heads.
Now it is modern to say that video games are no longer fun because they think only AAA games matter and now after all these years they discover that maybe they should look after AA games more. Then they pick up their phone and start playing their microtransaction filled waifu gatcha game and forget about it.

When you put that Wario game in the plastic case, only to adjust it to make sure the flap is on the back to keep it out of view. That right there is the sign of a true collector. Big props to that. I'm a CD collector and the lengths you sometimes have to go in order to preserve physical items are lost on a lot of folks. But yeah, that attention to detail, chef's kiss my friend. Appreciated.

Collecting is fun and interesting for sure. I recently started buying games for the Wii and Wii U while prices are still reasonable.

I have always had this recurring childhood memory from time to time of me playing a certain game for the ps1 back when I didn't even know how to hold a controller. I never knew the name or how to look for it. When I've seen you holding 40 winks I inmediately thought of this game. I looked up the demo on youtube and that's it, I have finally found it after so many years. Thank you so much!

My copy of Pixel Remaster came in last week, I forgot about it and it sure was a nice surprise when I got home from work. Unfortunately I couldn’t get the North American version.

I really enjoy the unveiling of these classic games you order Ryan. I use to feel like I was alone before when I still only had a PS2 up until November last year when I finally got a PS5! I just stuck with buying PS1 and PS2 games because there was so many great titles made during that time frame. I have paid as much as you pay for new game for the classics because I wanted the games that are like new if not new and stopped buying as many games stating they are in very good condition because you take your chances when you do that. It's a real thrill to buy classic titles whether for PlayStation or other consoles. I get it and oh yes the magazines are really a trip down memory lane! Their really a part of history now and still a way to learn about more great classic games.

I totally feel you on games coming back unexpectedly. I bought Baten Kaitos Origins for a decent price and then like 2 weeks later Nintendo announced an HD collection of the games. Still good for my GameCube collection at least!
I recently got Frogger temple of the frog with the manual for about $5. That is one game from my childhood. When I saw the cover and gameplay I knew I had memories of it. Now I want to get some CIB GameBoy games.
I wish I could get the magazine subscription for a reasonable price in Australia, but the shipping is 2 to 3 times more than the magazine itself, which is not a reasonable cost for shipping in my opinion. Good haul as always Ryan.

Oh man I can't wait to start collecting for ps1, ps2, GameCube, SNES, N64, but definitely NES. Right now I'm on PS4 and ps5, but I should also be collecting for PS1, ps2, & especially GC(since my mom got myself one for less than $50)...the games are just so high. At least for GC that is...looking forward to mainly GC exclusive games if I start collecting for that console. Mario kart is a must!
Yea this year for gaming has been really impressive! I’m on Street fighter 6 right now (Amazing btw) Gonna dive back into Dead Space (Great!) RE4 Remake is in the backlog (Can’t wait) FF16 already pre-ordered! (Excited). Now looking forward to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, MK1, Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Alan Wake 2!

My dad surprised me with a Playstation very close to launch when I was about 8. He had just gotten a great job after going to electronics school at night for several years. He bought the longboxes of Jupiter Strike, Shockwave Assault and the regular cases of Pandemonium and Crash Bandicoot. I sunk so many hours into those games.
We eventually had to move to BFE Nebraska and that Playstation helped me cope with having no friends for several years after the move.
Anyways, just discovered you, sir. I'm enjoying the videos. In a world of over the top, boisterous and borderline annoying video game youtubers, your demeanor and style is just really chill. Thanks for the content and I look forward to more!

So, the Wario Rumble for the GBA, yeah, there's people that are gonna say "What a stupid price to pay for that game" but, I'm telling you, there's games that I paid a rediculous sum for at the time but I'm glad I pulled the trigger on because compared to what they're going for today, Id be having to pay A LOT MORE so as time goes on you won't be kicking yourself for paying that much and you'll say "Man, I'm glad it bought it then." The ONE thing I'm always mad at myself for not buying is I had a chance to get the Fortune Hunters Edition of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. It was pathetically priced what the going amount for it was, but I didn't save up the extra money I couldve to buy it and I regret it because as absurd as the going price was then, now it's completely out of this world so, you'll get over it and find in a little ways down the road. A waste of money? Well, yes, money like this is always better spent on investing in a family rather than things thatre gonna turn to dust eventually anyway, you can't take em with you but, while you're waiting to become a dad, not bad

I actually got my copy of final fantasy and Megaman collection yesterday:)
I never understood how when discs became loose in their cases, the manufacturers couldn't just solve it with a simple foam washer or something, to stop the disc from unclipping in transit? So many times i had scratched discs due to this in the past.
