I'm visiting next April, so looking forward to it. I hope there can be a way for this unique place to survive and thrive.
Surely it must be enough people in the world wanting to live self sufficiently on an island paradise, working with the existing inhabitants for this place to survive? I hope so.

This is just fascinating, and an excellent detailed narrative of life and cooperation on a "marooned" Community on a far flung island that very few 21st century youth have heard about or can relate to; especially living in the northern hemisphere. Who wrote and/or recited the narrative? Pitcairn popped up on my U-tube after Tristan da Cunha (another remote community). In fact I was in the UK when Tristan dC was evacuated; it caused quite a stir. Thanks to whomever put this video together !
