Would you mind breaking down the Bluecoats 2016 snare feature? I’m having trouble understanding the sheet music and can’t find a good video of someone explaining it. I would really appreciate this. Thank you in advance!
This is so cool - thanks for the full breakdown! Now if I could only mark time through the double paradiddle section without messing up …. Cheers Geoff, much appreciated.
I am sure a few will need time on this. to get it try this.... practice GRID 16th triplets with JUST 3 diiffernt accent patterns. This will teach you the 3 possible sounds/melodies then you will have a much better chance of getting the paradiddles. Your videos and channel has gotten me extremely excited to drum again after over a 10+ year hiatus of not drumming because of depression and other personal issues. I have been using your vids to learn over the past two months and my chops and love for drumming has been coming full speed. Please keep it up! I missed my opportunity to join DCI do to certain issues but my love for it will never fade again. Good work man. I wish I had this when I was in highschool and so on. The play along is spont on. I only wish that you would play everything more of a 3/4 to 7/8 of max BPM so I could have a play along that's a little more challenging than the middle speed that way it would be easier to build chops with a play along that is not out of my chop range yet lol. Much love! Matt M
@@williamray8288 really? I can only find the snare break on the stairs. Im talking about the one right after the ballad and the "shine bright like a diamond" vocal.
no idea why but I keep missing two flams when I perform it (after teaching it with the correct two) Soz :) I know someone would spot it LOL

@@FreestyleRudiments Indeed- hearing the 3rd line of the grid in triplet pulse will be key to me nailing this section down.

The section from measures 19-22 is a mirror of scojo Lick of the week #3 . Slightly different but same notations.
can you do a video on Spanks from BAC this year?
its VERY long but will think about a poss multi part lesson for future
@@FreestyleRudiments Second this, please do Spanks!

i might aswell give up now. i dont even know how to play a paradiddle and a triplet without messing up every time.
Just keep working on them. Repeat your rudiments thousands of times and they will soon become automatic.
Awesome channel!
