The funny part is that the UCN didn't even authorize the invasion of Helghan. The UCA fleet that dealt with the Helghast Third Army left some of their cruisers behind so the ISA could reinstate the Helghan blockade, but the ISA shat on their superior and just invaded the planet instead. Then Vekta capitulates, but due to Stahl's private plans for Earth genocide, Captain Narville ignores those orders. Somewhat fair. But when Stahl's cruiser is wrecked and unable to stay in orbit, what do they do instead of allow it to land? They drop a nuke on it. Half of Vekta being given up is probably a result of the ISA's neglect. Not once, but twice, to Earth's command.

Any of Helghast that weren't completely loyal to him were executed after completing their part in the bombing. The Helghast as a people were raised up by a madman and fueled with the idea of exacting vengeance against the people that forced them to live in a veritable hellhole because they weren't convenient.

@@bluecoin3771 That's debatable. While Wolftenstein is more balls to the wall power fantasy and often grimderp. Killzone on the other hand at least makes some (emphasis on some) realistic scenarios that led to the conflicts ingame.
The only thing the Helghast did wrong was looking a bit too much like Nazis at times, like Jesus Christ Killzone 2, you kinda went overboard with the Wolfenstein look.
Mate there are irl armies today that look more Nazi than the Helghast could ever be. Their architecture is brutalist, their accents are Cockney, and one of their most distinguished heroes has a fucking Irish name! If that's considered looking Nazi then the ISA must be textbook Americans.
