- HERE WE GO ! Our new tow rig with Australia's lightest canopy that looks amazing.
We thought long and hard and looked at a new car but realistically we couldn't afford a new tow rig and we absolutely love our cruiser and remembered why we bought it. So with that we sat down and had a think about it and said how can we make the cruiser better. We first said that a new canopy is a must and went looking and we think we have found one that ticks all the boxes, a Mode canopy made by Zone RV. Its a composite canopy and only weighs 220 kg before adding extras. With 2400L of internal storage and 55L of saddle boxes, it gives us heaps of room. We fitted a Bushmans 130L fridge and also takes our outboard in it which was a must for us. All that an side we still have plenty of room. We fitted it with a Redarc power system which will be available soon for the Mode canopy. On the back we have one spare wheel and ladder and the boat will go on top very soon. The canopy has a static weight of 350kg great for a rooftop tent allowing enough room for adults to sleep. So over all a very capable canopy for a wide range of uses.

Looks ok . They look like a service body canopy . Change your fridge door to opening the other way , makes it more workable for your slide out bench

The only weight you saved was getting rid of the tray and having canopy straight to chassis could of done that with any brand 🤷♂️
Great video I got that completely arse about could not see u changing from the 79 so picked new 79 and old canopy but great choice and layout very much feel good happy trails😎

Wow i thought our fridge was big at 80ltr. But 130 that is bigger. We love our upright fridge. Glad you kept the cruiser. Looks good.

Congratulations, guys. Did not see this one coming! I’m in the queue for one of these canopies for early 2024. The weight (or lack thereof) makes a canopy achievable for me, otherwise would not be able to entertain this without changing the tow rig. It’s a game changer. And dust free too, like their vans (which I can happily attest to) 😊

Looks great, like the setup, just shows what you can do do reduce weight, in the scheme of things the tray seems such a waste of weight considering most of us wouldn't ever take off the canopy. Great build, give me some ideas for a future build

LOVE the Canopy. Why do many of the Travellers drink Great Northern, as the reason I dont is its a Mid Strength only Beer. MERCH IDEA : I note the new Mudflaps on the Canopy you need JUST VANNING IT Mudflaps , you will sell many. Dont forget to give me the credit LOL

Canopy looks good mate. Must better with the boat motor mounted in there so that you won't forget it and it's easy. I noticed you like wearing the Ecko Unltd T's. Do you find connection with Rhinos or is it because the company donated money to the preservation of rhinos or is it something entirely different?

Last one i saw was all cracked mate absolute poor made canopy if your putting a boat on top sorry but id never buy one after seeing that one up in broome it was totally busted up
