glad you are finally realizing this. Damage %, Damage Over-Time, Vuln, Crit Damage, aspects with straight damage multipliers. Its a lot more complicated and pushing one stat only is not the most optimal.
I was thinking exactly this lol. But even better i was thinking they will be shock on what to do, what is more important, fix this aspects that maybe end in a buffed barb build or keep nerfing the sorc ? I know its a hard decision Blizz, but remember you can nerf the shit out of the sorc in S5 mid patch, its not like Sorcs are good at the moment anyway.
This is the same thing that has been true for Poison Imbuement Scaling Rogues. Poison Imbue scales based on "base damage" (which is a bit confusing of a term), which is the same as berserker ripping. Aspects that scale "skill damage" (such as edgemaster/moonrise/adaptability/expectant) do not change the "base damage" of the skill.
@@SebiBubble because base damage in an arpg means next to nothing. Does it mean weapon damage? does it mean weapon damage X skill coefficient? weapon+coefficient+additive? Nope, weapon+coefficient+additive+arbitrary multipliers.
It is (mostly, except for some bugs) working as intended. For the most part, only your main core stat (strength) increases your skills base damage and it's still counted as a base damage. After that, when any other damage multiplier is applied, the damage is no more base damage. Therefore, aspects that multiply e.g. your basic (not base!) skill damage do not affect berserk ripping, because after multiplying the basic skill damage by the aspect, that damage is no more base damage. Berserk ripping takes the base damage from the skill before it is multiplied with anything. This basically works as a "base damage" for the berserk ripping. Why general damage aspects, such as Inner Calm, then work for Berserk ripping, you ask? Because the Berserk ripping "base damage" is multiplied separately by any applicable multiplier, after it is extracted from the base damage of the skill that caused it. Inner Calm is a general damage increase for all of your damage, therefore when berserk ripping base damage is calculated, Inner calm boosts that damage. Inner calm would separately boost the skill damage that caused the bleed via berserk ripping, but before boosting the skill damage, the bleed from berserk ripping is calculated from the base damage of that skill, and then the inner calm ALSO boosts the berserk ripping bleed damage.
And they you realize they aremt even the top damage, clear, boss, or pit class in the game and only sit in the middle of the pack amd start to understamd that idiots dont even understand ehat they are complaining about. They are outdamaged by both sorc and necro roughly even with rogue and only really beat out MOST druid builds. Fuckin christ get a grip.
It's intended, and your example about it working on other aspects is consistent with the wording on the berserk ripping aspect. The generic damage multipliers like inner calm increase ALL damage, so it increeases the bleed damage as well, but the damage multipliers on SKILL damage like the basic skill damage multipliers do not, because it only affects the skill, nothing else. edit: What is likely unintended is the fact that it scales with strength if it actually does, because that also only increases skill damage. Has anyone verified for sure that strength scales berserk ripping? It might be an exception and seen as increasing the base damage of all skills rather than being a separate multiplier on the skill damage.

Its a bug for adaptability for wind shear druids, if they've not fixed it lately. But moonrise works. Since the poison with calm breeze aspect is still a basic. But yea it seems like it is intended, but adaptability is bugged completely or partially Edit: mb it seems to be the storm part of greatstaff of the crone that is bugged with adaptability, works with moonrise
5 random hit without two aspect, billion dots, shadow necromancer, spamming the skill standing still infinite time proccing all the conditional multiplayer at the same time, something that it’s very difficult to do cause we need to dodge in the meantime to not die, reaching the same amount when the wither node proc, well, it’s clear that the shadow necro should be nerfed of about 60%, right blizzard?

The reason it is off base is to prevent double dipping: all dots scale with strength, aspect of elements etc. If berserk ripping worked the way people thought, it would be double dipping with the things that it actually scales with.
Hmmm…. So we have room for Skullbreaker to take those 5s of bleed dps and get 40% of that as instant damage instead? Depending on how long enemies survive, it could add up to quite a bit, for the full 5s it would be double your bleed dps. There’s a few other things you are not taking into account: - moonrise attack speed buff might still make it worth having depending on if you hit the cap or not - the new unique sword gives +4 to basic skills, getting the base damage of bash up, which in turn makes the cleaves and paingorger procs go up in damage, feeding that extra damage into berserk ripping
I was thinking the same thing. How I'm understanding it is that base damage is your attack power and so Elements does increase attack power when activated but Adaptability and Edgemasters does not change your attack power.

Those two aspects also don't work with the free storm strike you get from Great Staff of the Crone for the stormclaw druid build. Which is just, chefs kiss of schadenfreude.
i have the bash barb build and after watching your video i immedietly check on my build,, i only use 1 unique (shako), i use topaz basic damage on my weapons, and for the aspect i use : iron warrior, conceited, might, hectic moonrise, berserk ripping, inner calm, bold chieftain fierce wind, devilish, and rapid aspect (as you see, i'm not using adaptability) i've noticed that all the damage multiplier working properly from all aspects except the berserk ripping, it wont work. Then i replace the moonrise with the element and the berserk ripping works just fine, but because i only have Bash as the main damage i got struggle on pit 100 coz the attack speed is so low (rapid aspect + 43 attack speed bonus is not enough) so then i imprint back the moonrise and decide not use the berserk ripping. so i think berserk ripping wont be friend with the moonrise
it's not a bug, it's just the designers not knowing what they're doing and putting in just enough work to get home and watch sitcoms I figured this bleed damage out a few weeks ago and been running direct bash, and went a little further and made a duel wield version since my crit is only around 50%... hota direct is higher only if your crit chance is somewhere around 80% and I think there's more potential waiting to be discovered with duel wield since I'm just a filthy casual

How about Barrier Generation tempered on pants and boots (instead of Crowd Control Duration) along with the Conceited aspect (instead of Elements)? Do these provide more benefit?
I'm assuming those types of multipliers were disabled as a fix for the early bleed bug. Remember the period of a couple barb legendary powers being completely disabled? I hope this wasn't their fix for that.

The build is DoA because it does "only" a couple of hundreds of millions per tick. Other classes crying in the corner... But what to expect from Devs which can't play their own game outside smashing one button on a controller.
Bought diablo4, leveled to 100 and was looking forward to endgame. Just go lower in pit was endgame.....is like delve was only endgame in POE. But even delve is huge endgame compared to diablo4. Never been so dissapointed when playing a game. 2 more weeks to sailor update in POE...to long
Nothing really works exactly as the tooltip says. Read already made planners and guides, pare that with your own testing, and you should be able to do some builds yourself. That's mainly the reason why I rarely do any builds 100% by myself because you need to be up-to-date with the newest shitty bugs blizz introduced
Hey Rob or anyone I have a question about a masterwork. I got a tripple GA two handhammer str, life, crit damage. Tempers went good got crit damage and bash cleave. I masterworked it and got 3 roles on bash cleave. My crit dam is 5100. Would it be better to re-roll for crit damage or keep the 3 roles on bash cleave for +451%??
Mean while... Druid have a Lightning aspects it supous to work like a Storm/Nature Magic spell and dont scaling nothing of this thinks. Passives thinks that says lighting damage, also not work whit Storm/natureMagic damage. Skill that do Lightining Bolts, lightning strikes, Lightning whatever and seems like separed thinks that dont work together. Very very confulsing...
I seen early ww bleedd using inner calm but i never understood why as the ww movement cancels out the inner calm proccing. At least with controller i could never figure out how to make that work so dropped it
@@JoeBezk I think it is just for the 10% damage (not the 30% while stationary for 3 seconds). Even on a bash build, you are rarely stationary for 3 seconds. But inner calm is different in that it just "deals more damage" and doesn't proc on skills or other conditions, which is why it works with bleed while some other stuff doesn't work with bleed. There could be some weird double dipping there too.
Hi Rob, or anyone else, the max DOT I can do with my build is 50M per tick. Far from the billion. I have Tyrael's Might, Doombringer, but no Shako or Grandfather yet. I don't see how these two Ubers can make such a difference. I'm clearly not understanding something on this build.

Treat what works on Berserk ripping like Andy's Poison rogue. If it explicitly says "Skill damage". It doesnt work. Only Flat damage increases work

Flay should be fine since Flay is a basic skill, but maybe Rob can chime in here.

Adaptability is bugged rn it doesn’t work on the ammy i put mine on my ring and I went from 5-10 mill bleed ticks to 20-50m

How about change moonrise to the rupture aspect. I noticed a huge clear speed increase using rupture vs hota in high tier pit. The guy cleared t150 with bash use rupture not hota
You don't get the 30% damage increase for 5 seconds.

just watch mid-season patch video. There is no huge changes. Season is only 3 months, it's not like you are coming back after 5 years.

Flay works because flay damage comes from the skill vs the base dmg.

Only if you use edgemasters and it may mean that plus to war cry isn’t worth it on the boots since it only scales the skill damage of ww

Bought diablo4, leveled to 100 and was looking forward to endgame. Just go lower in pit was endgame.....is like delve was only endgame in POE. But even delve is huge endgame compared to diablo4. Never been so dissapointed when playing a game. 2 more weeks to sailor update in POE...to long

Nothing really works exactly as the tooltip says. Read already made planners and guides, pare that with your own testing, and you should be able to do some builds yourself.
That's mainly the reason why I rarely do any builds 100% by myself because you need to be up-to-date with the newest shitty bugs blizz introduced
Hey Rob or anyone I have a question about a masterwork. I got a tripple GA two handhammer str, life, crit damage. Tempers went good got crit damage and bash cleave. I masterworked it and got 3 roles on bash cleave. My crit dam is 5100. Would it be better to re-roll for crit damage or keep the 3 roles on bash cleave for +451%??

Mean while... Druid have a Lightning aspects it supous to work like a Storm/Nature Magic spell and dont scaling nothing of this thinks. Passives thinks that says lighting damage, also not work whit Storm/natureMagic damage. Skill that do Lightining Bolts, lightning strikes, Lightning whatever and seems like separed thinks that dont work together. Very very confulsing...
Still takes 2 hours to kill a tier 120+ boss

not atall this only affects the Bleed Versions that use Berserk Ripping
If inner calm is important enough to go on the amulet for bleed bash, should WW bleed be using inner calm somewhere too?
I seen early ww bleedd using inner calm but i never understood why as the ww movement cancels out the inner calm proccing. At least with controller i could never figure out how to make that work so dropped it
@@JoeBezk I think it is just for the 10% damage (not the 30% while stationary for 3 seconds). Even on a bash build, you are rarely stationary for 3 seconds. But inner calm is different in that it just "deals more damage" and doesn't proc on skills or other conditions, which is why it works with bleed while some other stuff doesn't work with bleed. There could be some weird double dipping there too.

Hi Rob, or anyone else, the max DOT I can do with my build is 50M per tick. Far from the billion. I have Tyrael's Might, Doombringer, but no Shako or Grandfather yet. I don't see how these two Ubers can make such a difference. I'm clearly not understanding something on this build.

I never recommended edgemaster on WW this season. Elements is the best option!
