Nice. The release notes mention toggling line inference is also a feature of 2020.2. Any possibility of being able to toggle the Gravity feature within Orbit? Sometimes in very large models removing the effect of gravity allows "just the right view". Just a suggestion.
would be nice if you could set a maximum angle between edges. Then you could still select all geometry and only what's below the threshold would be welded.

What would happen if you welded an edge/circle in 2020.2 and opened the document in 2020.1 or lower? What would SketchUp identify it as ? What would happen if you extruded unwelded edge 1inch, then welded and extruded further?
To answer the second question, it would continue to extrude with the edges not softened. If you use a modifier key to make the next part of the extrusion be a fresh start (Option on Mac, Ctrl on Windows), the next section would have smoothed/softened edges.

John Colgan curves exist in previous versions. They would just show up as curves.
