Agreed, on camera it the bezel appears much lighter than it really is. In person the MK1 is lighter. Stunning nonetheless.

Theres nothing wrong with sharing opinions on the subject, as I stated in the upload only Rolex knows what the future will hold for the brand and for the end user. Some opinions or speculations have come true, example’s previously discontinued Green Submariner (Hulk) and the Green dial Daytona. Nonetheless, only time will tell what which timepieces will be discontinued. What’s your favorite timepiece? Cheers….
9 months ago I purchased my first Rolex , a stainless steel GMT Master ll 'Pepsi' on an oyster bracelet. I do prefer the oyster to jubilee. It's a cool watch and gets a lot of attention. 3 weeks ago I purchased a Rolex Yacht Master 40 mm (Rhodium dial) I'm absolutely loving it. The 'slate' dial with the ice blue secondhand is mesmerizing. By the way......Love your Root Beer! 😀

Did you buy it from an AD?

Congrats on the ownership bud. I agree the Root Beer definitely demands more attention, as the Pepsi is more low key. To date, only watch enthusiast have noticed the Pepsi when wearing out and about. I love them both for different reasons. But at the end of the day the Root Beer is near and dear to my heart as it's my engagement watch. I'll have an update video on the Root Beer soon. Cheers
Pepsi is very special just the fact they are almost impossible to get from an AD very low supply high demand makes her very special. Hoping to get a call for the sprite or the starbucks. Looking forward to watch future video.
Couldn't agree more these timepieces are getting harder and harder to obtain and It goes without saying that I'm a very proud and grateful owner of these timepieces. I know a few people that have recently received the call for the Sprite (left and drive) on the jubilee. Which is stunning to say the least. Unfortunately Im' thinking this may be discontinued as well. Definitely keep me posted and hopefully you'll get the call very soon bud.

Thanks again for the insight. I wasn't surprised when the Hulk was discontinued, yet I was surprised to see the Milgauss go. Sadly I started to fall in love with the Hulk after its discontinuation. With that being said, It's sad to see the games that some AD's are playing these days. I've had some AD's that won't even sell me a OP 41, which is laughable. Yet they treat me different when they see the Pepsi, Root Beer etc. Needless to say I've taken my business elsewhere. Thanks again,,,, We'll see what 2024 brings "Excited"!

Rolex will not swap out the bezel to another variation. They will however sell you the Oyster bracelet for that watch so you can have both.
I heard that Rolex will keep the original bracelet in exchange for another bracelet. They won’t let you to keep both
@@cookingwithwatches Not entirely true. Some parts are exchange only but the bracelet is available to be purchased separately as long as you present the watch that it’s for to the dealer or service center to prove you own that model. It’s actually quite clear as my AD explained, any part that’s not functional by itself such as a flip lock or even the entire clasp assembly or 1/3 bracelet (end link with non removable links) are replacement only. The bracelet as a whole and optional links are available for purchase by themselves. You don’t need to surrender your old bracelet. I have heard some removed their bracelet to be safe when presenting it. The only rule is the AD must install it on the watch to make sure it’s the correct part but they won’t ask for your old one back. I have called RSC and they were able to verify this to be true. You can also send it into RSC but more often than not they will try to get you to commit to a full service so that’s always a risk. There is one benefit going through RSC and that is you’ll get an official receipt for the bracelet and also they will install the bracelet perfectly with no scratches, I have heard some ADs leave tool marks on the lugs (guess they are not as well trained or well equipped as RSC). There is some confusion here because I’m told there is also a 1 year embargo where every part is exchange only including bracelets except for extra links when a new model is released and that’s why some people may get different answers from ADs because they don’t even know exactly when the 1 years is up so they rather be safe and tell you everything is exchange only.

@@cookingwithwatches I have been told hopefully 4 to 6 weeks but also it comes when it comes. It is what it is. I am tempted to grab the Jubille for my Pepsi as well but I’m trying to find an AD that will verify I have the watch but don’t insist on installing it. I just want to have it as an option for whenever but I’m not ready for anyone to mess with my OCD yet.
@@garretthu2466 Thanks mate. I will do the same. Not that I prefer one over another one, but it’s nice to have both. Especially if Rolex will discontinue this model, by introducing the bigger version, both bracelets will skyrocket in price. So it’s worth it to buy right now.
Why would they stop the oyster bracelet for the rootbeer if they release the jubilee. I think they will keep the oyster and add the jubilee
Great question. My statement is based upon the previous iterations of the Rolex GMT Master Pepsi and the Root Beer, Of which both of them originally came with a jubilee followed by the oyster bracelet then back to the Jubilee for the Pepsi in 2018 etc. Only time will tell if my prediction will be correct. That said, only Rolex know's what the future holds for the brand and the end user. I'll be posting updates as more news comes along. Cheers
Hey dude, you seem cool but I think your opinion on why they are going to discontinue is kind of ridiculous. 1. Rolex doesn’t give 2 hoots about us end users. Their customers are the ADs. We are the ADs customers. Right now, there is a tremendous demand for this model AND it holds historical significance. The only reason for them to discontinue if the production issues are true. If the ceramic bezel yield rate is so low that it drives up the individual cost of each Pepsi, then that makes perfect business sense to discontinue. They will likely keep it in the white gold due to the higher margins on that to absorb it. Also, they could come out with the coke because the issue lies in the bleed of the blue and red together. It creates a purplish line that is not well defined. That is not an issue when one of the colors is black as black is dominant. Makes perfect sense.

Bringing back the Coke would be a nice addition to the collection. Fingers crossed it comes back next year. Legacy Coke models are stunning as well.
Appreciate your point of view and thanks for the kind words bud. Rolex has entered a new error as they have recently acquired Bucherer which has 100 global locations. Which means after things get finalized Rolex will be dealing directly with customers from these locations. Again only Rolex know's what the future holds for the brand and how this will affect the end user. As far as discontinuing an iconic model, they recently discontinued last years Daytona model's to bring back slightly different variations. Therefore I stand by what I said in the upload, I can see the Pepsi coming back in a different variant. That said I do appreciate your insight and shared knowledge, only time will will tell if the bezel rumors are true and if this model gets discontinued. I'll have updates posted soon. Cheers

Only time will tell as to why and if the Pepsi gets discontinued. As I previously stated in the upload, only Rolex really know's what's going to happen. That said, I Love the Root Beer as well.
