What does "Post-Apocalyptic Horror" mean? The aftermath of the apocalypse IS horror by definition. As for the "Story" part?

In the end of each video or movie, I have always seen the names and functions hundreds of people who were participated in the making of that movie. What I don’t always understand is why don’t any one of them attempted to make that movie easier for the audience to understand and comprehend. Instead they all trying to make the movie more confusing which must require watching the videos 3 to 5 times again to understand them????
