Because the NBA shorten the three point line from 23 feet and 9 inches to 22 feet in 1994-95 season. Jordan average 50% and 47% from three in those two season. Just after 2-3 years the NBA change it back to the original distance and the 3pt% gets back to normal for Jordan. Jordan’s 99 3pts should be reflecting the 3pts shooting in those years.
LeBron is possibly the greatest regular season player in NBA history, mostly due to his longevity, but he’s a champion in the same vein as Kevin Durant. LeBron couldn’t win without help from the league and league officials. He failed in Cleveland, and had to jump ship to Miami where he formed a super team with Wade and Bosh. During this time NBA officials are literally handing the Cavaliers top lottery picks in anticipation of LeBron’s return. When the Heat flame out LeBron once again crawls back to Cleveland where he was lucky to win one title, and let’s be honest, it was totally undeserved. After more finals loses LeBron heads west to join the Lakers. The 2020 Finals was a joke and should come with an asterisk. The reality is the league makes more money when the Lakers and LeBron are in the playoffs, which is why the rest of the league bailed the Lakers out last season, making multiple one sided trades that only benefitted the Lakers. Professional basketball is a great product, but the NBA is fixed. The lottery is fixed, the refs are terrible, and Adam Silver is just as crooked of a Jew as David Stern. He just doesn’t wear a toupee.
Nah only Lebron haters think that . Damb ya really that salty Lebron won more rings 😂. I can understand if Lebron 0-10 like Baylor is 0-8 but the man is 4-6. Won more times than Hakeem and barley combined . Won more than Malone . If Lebron played in the water down 90s like Jordan did he would have 8. Jordan played with 20 teams in the nba 😂, and he made playoffs with a losing record. How you make playoffs with a losing record ? Then he went to the wizards and he couldn’t even sniff the 1st round Z he told front office who to pick up and who to draft. And famously said “ I want to make a deep playoff run “ and it never happened . Phil kept winning tho 😭. Jordan couldn’t win with 29 other teams in the nba .
@@smdideleted6327 Yet another guy who lacks context. LeBron James played all 82 games once. MJ did it 9 times, including his last year with the Wizards as a 40-year-old. Had MJ avoided injuring his knee, he would've made the 3rd worst team in the NBA the previous season into playoff contenders his first season as a Wizard at the age of 38/39. If you look at the stats pre-injury, Jordan was slowly getting better and better. And he only had Rip Hamilton as a decent co-star (when healthy). And you called the 90s a "watered-down era" when defense was tougher and traveling/ball carry violations were called much more often. LeBron James, the guy who gets away with traveling 2nd to only James Harden and the guy who is top 1 in turnovers, wouldn't have been able to facilitate with the ball that well. To prove a point, let's take Wizards MJ. We all know MJ was a perennial all-time defender in the Bulls, but during his first Wizards season pre-injury, he more or less turned one of the worst defensive teams in the league into one of, if not, the very best. And they only had MJ as the biggest change in their lineup. Now, imagine MJ in the "watered-down era". Shouldn't he have won multiple DPOYs if the competition isn't that tough? Yet he only won once. Which means defense was MUCH TOUGHER back then. LeBron would also score MUCH less points in the 90s. Every season, he scores the most within 0-3 ft from the basket. Back then, there was no defensive 3-second violation. They also had powerhouse bigs like Patrick Ewing, David Robinson, Alonzo Mourning, Dikembe Mutombo, Shaquille O'neal, Hakeem Olajuwon and so much more setting up camp under the rim. Big and fast as LeBron may be, he's not gonna be able to consistently "bully" his way to the paint as easily as in this era. Don't get me wrong, LeBron James would be quite an all-star in the 90s. But he wouldn't be able to find as much success nor will he be able to stay as healthy as he has done in this era. He has all the technology and even skips games to rest. MJ, Magic Johnson, Isaiah Thomas, Larry Bird and so many more greats in the 80s to 90s didn't have that mindset. They wanted to win. Lebron is a phenomenal athlete, but times were different back then. Bill Laimbeer, Dennis Rodman, Kevin Garnett, and so many more players could easily ruin LeBron's mental. You had to be tough and play hard on those games if you wanted to be recognized as a superstar. One thing only young LeBron managed to do. Now, he's become a detriment to his own team, resting on defense and chucking shots at a very low FG%. Stat-padding to make the casual fans, who only look at the stat sheet without watching the game, praise and admire his "valiant efforts on a losing team". Note that LeBron can only score this much BECAUSE this era is so weak in terms of defense. The rules are too offense-centric and the foul calls are too easy to get. And even then, LeBron, KD, Harden, Westbrook, Luka, Giannis and even Steph have yet to average 37+ ppg in a single season. Something MJ did in a much tougher era against stricter defense and non-existent flagrant fouls.
