    What does this crown of thorns look like now? Did it recover? It would be cool to see an update video. Thanks.

    Wowzers! Those were all Big cuts 👀 Looking forward to see how she/he pops back up again. If that video from Nigel is anything to go by, it shouldn't be a problem. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you J 👍🌹😊💖

      Thanks Karin ! Sometimes I have a habit of calling plants and trees he or she or " that guy", I dont know why ! lol , I dont with anything else. Oh well, yeah supposedly it should come back fine, but thanks for crossing your fingers for me !

      @Zen Bonsai Hiya, well......I'm a beginner and so are my twigs in pots lol! Have lots of them but no where near to be called bonsai. I have the 1 tree and it's a Juniper Itoigawa, 29 years young and given to me by a good hearted soul. As for video's, I only watch and talk here on youtube 😊 Nice "talking" and see you around for sure 👍🍁

      Thank you Guy, it was coming back nicely but then slowly started dying on me. Not sure what happened. The cuttings however are doing unbelievably well so I will likely pot one of those up 😀👍

    Cool video J! It looks good! COT's as we refer to them here are prolific growers, our big one even seeds out. I've found cuttings that have just dropped that I missed rooted to the ground... Lol

      @BonsaiJCan  4 года назад

      Thank you. I would just start out with a pair of pruning or bonsai scissors, tweezers and larger pruners like you'd use to prune fruit trees. A small bonsai rake would be good too.

      I just use a water soluble all purpose fertilizer, a pinch in the watering can about once a week. Here is a good video on bonsai soil. ruclips.net/video/p522AYawgOI/видео.html

    J, it seems that you and I are at a similar point of bonsai evolution. (Pre Bonsai) Nigel is my inspiration but Peter Chan also has an interesting approach (albeit from a nursery perspective). I am choosing to follow Nigel’s approach as it seems, for me, to be why I got me interested in bonsai. I’m curious if you’re following any other channels which will take us on this journey, from our novice experience, Thanks. Matt
