I haven’t had a Dog like my “Lola” in years. Very affectionate to my Son with special needs and so playful. She adapts very well to our situation. We like to stay clean and like to go out every so often. I encourage her barking and the only real problem I have is her love for table food.

Great dog for depression and other problems. Good friend. My first time having this breed and i love them. Normally a pitbull fan but do to small space i went with a cairn terrier im actually happy all pits were a love hate training cairns are stubborn but fun to work with. Its like a real friendship you gota compromise and see what cairns want to do. They will not do anything they don't want too. You do have to watch them around small children sometimes. The way he acts while im gone tells me he misses me. Hes depressed then he hears me come in and he runs around like a chicken with head cut off so happy he runs laps back to his room then to front door like 5 times. Until somebody pets him.

Hard to imagine a better breed for a pet and a friend (of course, we all have our preferences). Our Cairn was a rescue and he is the most loyal, loving, gentle and happiest of dogs. They are incredibly alert and their body clock is set to within a nano second of an atomic clock!! By my my side every minute and the perfect mate for our other best friend Baxter.

I love my Wheaton Cairn Terrior! Sophie is 8 . She is very loyal, follows me everywhere, or watches me. Not so much with cats! Anything that runs, she will chase. Can be a barker if a stranger, or other animals around. She is fearless, and knows who she likes and dislikes. She is feisty, and mischievous. She likes playing with gloves, hankies, socks, any garment that she can shake. Cairns are intelligent, and trainable. They know voice commands. They love to eat what you are eating, and slick at stealing your food, ie, if you open your fridge! They are fast at grabbing. I love my Cairn! Thanks for reading!

my little Bonnie loves water and snow, as watch dog she warnes me of any fire or smoke. She loves to walk for hours, hunting mostly mice, it is hard for her to stay when cat or hare runs away. But now (two years old) she has learned a lot and i trained STOP with her until it worked almost 100%. She loves to play with every child and most other dogs, male or female. A german shepard had been aggressiv after Bonnie took her toy, now she is a little afraid of shepards. I took her to sweden by plane, she had been so brave. She had been in the Alps with me at narrow pathes, made it secure, her paws are really strong. Took her several times by the nighttrain without any trouble. She comes with me but she will be enjoyed every time returning home. i am so glad to have her

My Cairn Terrier is weenie dog mix. Her short legs and long body makes everyone stop me and say she’s so cute. Growing up always had many dogs but by FAR my dog Happy is the happiest fun loving dog that constantly makes me laugh and is full of love. Cairn Terrier bread is my favorite. She is 12 years old and I dread that day she will no longer be around. So to overcome those thoughts I make every minute matter with her knowing we both gave our best. PS hide any stuffed animals. Stuffing is like cat nip to them😁

My !4 Year Old Male Carne died last February. Best dog I ever owned. Very smart. Did not like some other dogs not all. Hated going out in the rain. Great with kids and family. Loved being in the same room with you and spending time together. My was not a barker but had great hearing and you knew if someone was coming to the door or a car in front of house. Lost his hearing in his last year. Don't know if I could own another dog. I do miss him.

My Cairn Abby (blonde fur) is sitting next to me atm: They're incredible pets for high energy people, though dogs are all special animals, not just lifeforms, but specialized human companions for over 30,000 years.
