I have 3 Westies they’re awesome 🐶. the sago palm tree the one in this video they’re very VERY toxic to dogs even the seeds - fronds & the soil near by plant if they dig & westies love to dig . I ❤ my west highland terrier. Journey to the boundless
@@houstondante777 Thank you, I didn't know. That palm has been there for the last 3 years and I had no idea. Sami doesn't chew on plants or eat dirt, so he is pretty good in that regard, but nevertheless I will see if I can move the palm and plant it elsewhere. I know that he can just lick his paws and accidentally come in contact with the substance. Thanks for letting me know and kiss your 3 Westies from me! 😍
I have a male 19 year old westie !! He was amazing with the kids ! So easy to train and such a amazing dog!! His name is Jack he will be 20 in nov !! Such a great breed of dogs for a family 🙌🏼
That is absolutely amazing! ❤ I wish Jack a happy, loving birthday in November! They are pure joy! Do you mind if I ask, what do you feed him? 😀I have to ask, since it's such an impressive age and I'm curious.
Well , that is a very well care for Westie!! I have never heard of one that old. Happy Birthday to him. My Westie had gotten very picky at what he will and will not eat. What do you feed yours?
@@rebeccagrosvenor7177 ohhhh he eats anything 😬 always has 😂😂 the funny thing is he won’t eat the treats I get him from the organic or healthy dog treat places 🤦🏻♀️ now I know I know it’s not the best for him but …. He loves his lil ceasers wet dog food he gets that once a day then he has his dry food … that he hates 😂😂😂 the crazy part is he was half price when I got him because he was the runt that had had surgery for a cord hernia.. the little guy out lived them all and was a discount 😂😂😂😂🙌🏼🙌🏼 the best part was watching him and my son who is now 24 grow up together 💜💜💜 such a amazing family dog !! He now has my nieces who live downstairs from us they are 2 and 5 and he is so great with them too !! Have a great weekend
I had Maggie Rose for 15 years. She was dx’d with Addisons Disease at 2 years old and I was told her life expectancy was maybe 3 more years. Being the stubborn little Miss MaggieRose she was, she held on for 13 ,ore years. She died in my arms while I sang and cried. BEST. DOG. EVER.
I just had. To. Cry. *"*!!!!*. I know. What you. Went. THRU. 😔😔😔😔😔😔. I'm. So. Sorry 😢🤢🤢🤢. I hope to. GOD. You. Have. Got. Another one. 🐾🐾🐾🐾❤️. HAVE. A. GOOD. DAY. 💕💕
I was close to making a posting about Westies and Addisons and saw yours. My Jenny was dxd w it at 2yrs. With monthly injection and regular medication, she did fanatic except for once or twice a year when her electoralights dropped and had problems with dehydration, which was easily overcome. She lived about 13 1/2. Listening to this video, she was very independent, but very nurturing and patient w children And elderly. He independent side switched off when it was bedtime, at that point, she would bump up so close to my face I felt like my head was being fogger up! She was the runt, and the fact that I saved her from a certain death is probably the fact she staked her claim as me being her human. God, I miss her.
I just lost my westie. He was 16 almost 17. He was considered the Shaq of Westies and was always around 25lbs. We had him since I was 5. I miss him so much.
I love, love, love this breed. I dated someone who had a Westie. I fell in love wirh the dog. Such a fun, happy, hilarious dog. Never met a Westie I haven't adored.
We had a 15 year old Westie and he was the best dog you could ask for, such a character and personality. He had to be put to sleep due to falling ill with incurable Lymphoma on 07/11/2023.
My westie is 12. I’ve had him since he was 8 weeks old. He is my love. They are just the best dogs. They are German Shepard protective and Yorkie sit in your lap.
We have had two Westies a Female she was 16years when she passed and our boy Boyd who is 12years old and is Diabetic. They both suffered with Skin issues and ear infections. But were and are the most loyal fun dogs. We have another dog now a Cockapoo. The great thing about Westies is if you have a busy life they do not mind being alone for periods of time while you are at work. But they will tell you off if you have been away on holiday and someone looks after them its almost like a story with ours he growls and mumbles under his breath.
I had 2 male Westies. Best dogs ever, but….. they are expensive dogs, be warned. Both of my Westies had allergies and skin issues. They need frequent bathing because they get SO dirty in the country. My Zeke and Teak were loving, intelligent, funny, one was athletic, the other a love muffin. I appreciated their independence and subtlety. Plus they are SO DARN CUTE!!! 😍
I disagree about Westies needing frequent bathing. You can use wipes, but do not bathe them all the time. It leads to skin dryness and problems. These are dry clean dogs. You let the dirty dry and then brush it out. Unless it is bad weather, dry it and clean it with a wipe in the area. They are not meant to be cleaned all the time.
@@elainehoffman7709 I meant grooming the coat should be done regularly. I guess that involves a bath too, but you can probably choose to skip the bath. You are right that the dirt comes off once dried, especially on hand stripped coats. That's a cool thing about Westies, you brush the dirt right out :) I use wipes too, unfortunately because of Sami's skin allergies I do need to bathe him more often than I'd like. In his case, the shampoo helps.
I love those names….too cute! They are comedic relief with the crazy situations they create, and that “Westitude.” We just had to put my Sophie down at 12 due to cancer. What’s funny is, she trained me, and I let her. If we were playing fetch, and she decided one day to bark at me until I retrieved her toy. And I let her get away with it? Afterwards, I thought to myself, “what just happened here?” Guess it was her cuteness. I’m so sorry your babies aren’t around anymore, either. They are a delightful breed, and absolutely adorable!💕
The best thing for skin issues is to make a blood allergy test. After that you can manage the place and the diet. My Dora also have skin issues, but figure out their allergies and now We can manage without any medicine. Bath only after 3 weeks. Amd only if She is dirty. General 3 to 4 weeks I bath her. Good luck.
We are recent Westie converts having taken a 31/2 y.o. girl into our care. She is THE MOST DELIGHTFUL little dog. I think it'll be Westies for us from now on. Great video btw.
I have 4 Westies, and you describe them very well. Although my boy and the girls are all affectionate. He just pays attention to my needs more. Like when he realized I couldn't run down the steps as fast as him on a leash, he started stopping and waiting on me. He can tell when I am not in a good mood, and tries to comfort or love on me. His daughters and their mother, don't do those things. I think I will subscribe to your channel. 😊
I love Westie's, too! my 7 year old furbaby girl Bailey Rose ❤ is just amazing. This is our third Westie. Each one is so unique!! Love your videos, thanks!
Well my Westie George loves your videos so much he has figured out how to watch it again and watching different scenes by swiping with his nose and tapping with his paw! They’re simply the best little doggies
My Westie girl, Lovey is just as intense, fun, stubborn, and active as me. She turned 1 in October and now barks when its time for me to take her out for a walk, or when she wants me to play with her. I love her, even though she tap dances on my nerves
I just realized you have this channel! I follow Sami on other platforms. I had a westie named Milo that we rescued when he was 7. Someone was looking for a home for him so we took him in to join our 2 other dogs. His previous owner ignored and ear infection that he had (never took him to the vet!) so by the time he joined us he was 80% deaf. We treated his ears immediately, but the damage was done. He had a great personality, never let his lack of hearing bother him, and was a wonderful dog. We lost him at at 16, and I still miss him. Thanks for the videos, reals, posts etc. on your various platforms!
I have two girl Westies. I have heard boy westie are very loving. I think as you said they are all different. One of mine is definitely more of the lap dog the other girl is more independent but also more emotional and demanding when she wants food or a walk ( we call it throwing a tantrum) . I would not be without both of them. Westie are great little dogs.
I have found on all my years that it doesn't matter the breed a male will favor the female in the house and a female will favor the males. They a of course exceptions to this
My Westie, Sophie, was a diva from day one. She wanted whatever she wanted now! She “graced you with her presence,” not the other way around, but it was quite hilarious. Definetly a Westie lover for life!
@@rebeccagrosvenor7177 My daughter called Sophie a Ho, because whenever a man was around, she was there. When my daughter was having cable installed, she looked around and Sophie was under the cable mans arm getting petted while he worked. It was hilarious.
What a fabulous video! I’ve had several breeds over years but once I found a Westie there was no going back. Also, your photography is amazing. As adorable as Sami is, your pictures & vides are amazing😘
Beautiful video. We had Stanley for 17.5 years. Best dog ever. Yes, allergies were periodic challenges, and in later years he refused to be groomed and had to be groomed at home by us as he was on the black list at pet smart and everywhere else 😂. The hardest part is losing them as their personalities are such a force of nature, there's a huge gap in your life when they are gone. The good news, with proper care and love they usually live a long life.
Serial Westie owner here: My Penny is such a loyal companion Westie! She's quite the intellectual pet. I've owned several dozen dog breeds from around the world. Westies, are by far THE TOTAL PACKAGE for indoor, and outdoor adventures. A few advice for future owners if you're looking to own this breed. 1. Use body harness, instead of neck or collar leashes. This breed, is physically quick on their feet, and will change at movement directions-QUICKLY! 2. Westies don't do well as a singular dog in the house. They function well with all breeds, so try not to own them, as the sole pup in the house. 3. A variety mix of their dog food diet (wet vs. dry food), will help keep them in optimal health. Go ahead, don't be afraid of mixing their diets. 4. Generic baby shampoo mixed w/vinegar, OR baking soda-is phenomenal for their white coats to smell fresh, and last longer. Lastly, It doesn't matter the weather outside with this particular breed. Whether it's raining, snowing, or sunshine- they are down to have fun! SO, HAVE FUN! Hands down-the most loyal breed I've ever owned. They will NEVER let you down!
Mine passed this year at 19 family had him when I was just 16 😔. He was great until he was 18 then really went down hill. But such a rascal and a great personality.
Westies are The best! I know because I got one . I had other dogs over the years but my Westie is so special. Now go and get one fast , you will feel like a new born again ❤️❤️❤️
Miruna this video is incredible!! This sets the bar for West Highland Terrier videos (if not for all dog videos.) Awesome footage and information. And that Westie backpack is seriously hilarious! Our Westie, Nicky, passed this August rather quickly at the age of 13 after being diagnosed with cancer. We miss him terribly and will eventually be getting another Westie.
My sweet Westie has white dog shaker syndrome. She has seizures about every 6 months despite chronic medication. I love these videos but they kind of make me sad. I miss my healthy pup.
Love this video - thanks!... but, not sure how accurate the no drool comment is! My rescue was so food obsessed, when you told her to wait and she saw food, she would drool a little! Love her/miss her!
Hello, how are you? My name is Ron and I am also a new Westie owner. You mentioned that our westies are prone to allergies. From my observation and studies in my field I noticed a couple of things that would contribute to their allergies. Their skin is very soft and can be loose on some parts of their bodies - such as the chest and belly much like a lamb - and one would think that because they are so tiny compared to other dogs that they WOULD be exposed to a lot of dust, dirt, and allergens more than usual. My little pup's skin on his forearm and underbody is now inflamed and losing fur due to the damaged skin. I wipe down my pup every time before I put him to bed or nap because well, being part of a hairstylist family, it's sort of a habit I created (As I am not in a salon at this moment). In the meantime, I will be searching for the right shampoo and observe closely if any positive changes occur. Hoping for the best. - Ron
My heart is completely broken. My 12 year-old Westie, Sophie, developed a malignant spinal tumor seemingly overnight. On Monday, her legs wouldn’t work, on Wednesday, we had to put her down because she was in excruciating pain. This happened approximately three weeks ago. Maybe this sounds stupid, but, for now, I sleep with her favorite stuffed-toy. Please, please, if your Westie suddenly develops symptoms that are “off,” get him/her to a good vet with technology. I don’t wish this on my worst enemy.😢
Soo much love to you. Dealing with missing my Yorkie who passed away a week and a half after we took him to the vet because he was crying non-stop. Turned out he has cancer. He literally passed away a year after my Westie. Missing them both. This was the last week of September. ❤❤ completely understand and relate to what you shared. Wishing you peace & love.
@@callieelliesociety Thank you so much for the condolences and love. I’m so sorry you are a heartbroken parent, also. Sophie was crying-out in pain as she was being put-down. I just cuddled her head, and told her how much I love her. She was so healthy and hearty; the cancer came out of the blue. I just hate hearing you lost both of your babies a year to the date…my heart hurts for you as well. I’m sending love and prayers your way, too. God Bless You and Your’s.
I'm so sorry for your loss💔I lost my Silky Terrier 1 & 1/2 year ago and it broke my heart, I still miss him. Four months ago I was so lucky to get a Westie into my life and he's amazing! It helps the healing to get another dog companion, when you are ready of course. Take good care of yourself❤
@@brynjathorsteinsdottir8865 Thank you for your condolences. 💕💕💕My daughter ordered a Westie puppy the day after we put Sophie down. Honestly, I’m not happy because, not only am I still grieving for Sophie, but I’m going to be the one caring for the new puppy. I have MS, can barely get out of bed most days, and it’s all I can do to care for our one year-old Westie, Lola. I’m so sorry you lost your Silky; those are supposed to be the sweetest terriers. My daughter is 27, and my son is 23. I got Sophie for them when they were children, that’s another reason I’m hurting so badly. Sophie was with me 24/7, and was a family member, who was a comfort to me as well. It’s just going to take me a while. I don’t mean to sound so negative; her death has just hit me so hard. I’m happy you got you a Westie puppy. As you can tell, they know how to work their way into your heart forever. God Bless.
Dear Denise, I am so, so sorry this happened 💔And so suddenly 😢 Sending you a big hug from me and Sami. I can't imagine how you must be feeling, we are sending our love to you!
I coerced my family to get a dog about 16 years ago. We chose a Westie as first time dog owners. The single most profound decision we made. We bought two cousins as puppies but they turned out to be totally different. One male that was big, strong, muscular, alpha, as beautiful of a Westie as I've ever seen. Very very social and inquisitive even with strangers and a ball of energy, bordering ecstasy whenever one of us would come home. But he did not want to concede he loved cuddes and usually snarled a bit (never bit) but he couldn't fool us. When the pack was sitting together he loved affection and snuggled in for belly rubs. The other a female, slim, scrawny, we lovingly called her rat sometimes, was more cat like and very intelligent. More silent, not that social with outsiders/other dogs and hardly ever barked and would only snarl when you were doing something she really did not like (happened maybe a couple times in 15 years). But that little thing has personality and always plotted and had a mind of her own. From coming home to her having jumped from chair to chair to lay on a table and being apologetic when being caught (why would a tiny dog do something like that???), finding holes in fences and running a circle around the neighborhood, wandering next to a busy road just to knock on the front door, to her wanting to lay on a certain chair that was occupied by her cousin and orchestrating a plan on how to get that premium seat (they were allowed everywhere and could jump and bed, couch, chair etc - so no shortage of seats). Let me explain (I've never personally seen such a complex plan): She wants the seat and proceeds to notify us to be let out, runs outside and barks to lure our other dog outside, because she knew he loved barking and would come outside to bark as well. After a couple barks she quickly went back inside leaving our other dog to bark for himself and instantly jumped on the seat she wanted all along. It's crazy to me (might be totally normal for dogs but that level of complexity was new to me) to see the comprehension of action and reaction to achieve a certain goal. Unfortunately our male went from peak health 100-0 at age 12 due to sudden cancer within a month. That was the hardest hitting death of my life so far as our dogs are part of our family just like a brother or child. Our female dog just turned 15 and despite being diagnosed with cancer about 18 months ago, almost deaf and blind, still enjoys life, treats, walks and above all cuddles. Terriers are as tough and loyal as they come. Wouldn't trade that time and experience for anything. Just wanted to share, maybe someone can find traits from their Westies/dogs they can relate to and have a happy moment.
Had a Westie, shes been the most cunning and smart dog I ever owned. She did something she wouldnt hide her tail under her, she would smile with upper teeth showing.
great video! mine has a trait that you didn't mention. my westie Buddy is very "SNEAKY". He will try and take toys to his crate behind your back and then later move it so you don't have any idea where he moved it too.
Sneakiness, that's something Sami doesn't possess (he is too innocent and honest sometimes, which amuses us) 😂😂 Your Buddy is hilarious!! Hiding his toys, haha! Maybe he is testing you to see if you're paying attention to him 😅❤
My Westie just passed away in September. Her 14th birthday was July 8th. She owned me from 10 weeks old to over 14 years. She had picked me for her Mommy, when I met her she climbed in my lap and that was it, she was mine and I was hers. To say it was just a lost is an understatement, 3 months and I am still grieving. Westie's are another breed entirely. Devotion, like no other. Protective, as much as my female shepherd that I had from 9 weeks old until her death 2 years before I found my Westie. She had to have 2 allergy shots a week....for 8 years of her life. I cooked chicken and sweet potatoes before that and after that for her. She had surgeries to replace her hind knees ( Patellas.) She had stomach trouble, one kidney......and yet she was a pet that will be no other like her. So if you want to devote the time they make for you, then get one, you will never regret it. But cost, yes they do. I sold a sports car for her care. I have never regretted it. But I was the lucky one, she called me Mommy.....in every other way.
Mine's been gone for the last 3 months, and his story is very much like the one that you relayed about your beloved dog. Tens of thousands of dollars of care to save my Sparky's life, or at least extend it for as long as I could. He was one plucky little guy who absolutely loved the stuffing out of his mama. Westies are a very unique breed, for they take a piece of your heart along with them when they die. Enjoy them to the fullest while they're still here on Earth.
I have a Westie and the barking is terrible. Every sound he hears in the house or outside. Barks like crazy at every dog he sees! So stressful to take him out everyday!😩😩😩 Would never get this dog again! He’s a good watch dog though and will alert you to anything !My German Shepard you never hear a peep out of him unless someone rings the bell.

Thank you, Westie Vibes! I love your videos! I have a little Westie boy named Teddy McGhee. He is 3 months and we are working on potty training which is tough! Do you have any videos for that?
Hi Your video is excellent. I and my family are serial Westie owners. We currently have twin brothers- long story short we didn’t have heart to separate them. Their personalities however are totally different from each other.
I have owned three Westies with my current Westie a male now almost 13 years of age. He is a true lap dog, and has been very healthy. His name is Edison. I am dreading losing him, so affectionate. and such a loving dog.

Westies are the best. Had one for 8 years. He would chase and bark at bunnies and it was the funniest thing to me. Incredibly smart too. Trained him to bring me his leash when he wanted to go outside. Then he trained me, when he went out just to snatch a bone he saw someone drop at the dumpster 😂. I miss Milo. I plan to get another
Winston and Piper are Westies each with their own personality. Winston is 14 and he is wise and happy, Piper is 7 and she like to be in charge! Both are the sweetest and a joy to challenge the day's fun and adventure.
Thank you for this video. We have a 13 year old family westie (Poppy) and are heart broken we have to say goodbye to her in a few days due to health issues, eye, dental disease, hearing loss. It will be a huge hole in our lives but she has had a amazing life and money was no object to spend on her and spoil her. A sad time 💔😭
I enjoyed having my little girl, "DAISY MAY" also 15yrs. One very early morning back in 2016 MY baby girl was weak, lethargic, would not take any water, or food. Her little funny self was in process of passing away.😢 DAISY was such a sweet little lady, so, so intelligent, funny liked trying to undo my shoe laces, as she had a little bit of joy in her spring up on her paws, as she would be deciding not to go anywhere out side. She always put a huge smile on my face. I am a 67 year old lady, lives in a senior community north of Seattle, the town, EVERETT, is where I still live. I have been mourning her loss and when I see a westie I immediately begin tearing up. Daisy was a therapy dog. I have several disabling medical conditions, I am disabled due to very serious medical conditions and because of how sick I get I need another West Highland Terrier. Maggie may is a sweet name my daughter and my physician are pushing me to another therapy dog trained and in my lowest depression I'd present, I often woke up with daisy laying on my shoulder and her nose rested on my cheek. If I moved, she would suddenly sit up and just as quick observation of why I awoke, then bam!! OK lights out, don't wake me rup again. She had so much love in her little bigģ 💕 ❤️ heart. She used to sit in front of a neighbors door they have a cat that loved playing with DAISY "LUNCH BOX" MAY I am alone and I find myself sitting up the entire night time. Today is one of those days. Do you sale your westie puppies and where would you be coming from? I do not know what the process would be to Purchase a sweet westie. I am on SOCIAL SECURITY for my only income money, and nothing more. tIt would be interesting to find out more about your little puppies. They are so sweet, and that size is all I can handle. Please, send email to respond MLHunt8204@gmail.com. Thank you for sharing your sweet puppy westies.
We had 2 westies. The first died at the age of 14. The second on 8 november 2022 at te age of 12. Fantastic intelligent loving dogs. Both females. We mis them very very much. Also my German Shepherd and chihuahua mis them very hard. They were frends for life. Very sad moments. Rip my frend. We had 12 wondefull years togetter.
Nice video. I have my lovely Dora. She have 3 years old. Recently I shift the country. Because of this We have to change her diet, and because of this her coat in their muzzle became a brown. In general She is very dominant and health dog. She like kids, but a little big kids like after 6 or 7 years. Her prey drive is too high. She is difficult to train, but for obedience training was ok. She play well with other dogs. Her energy level start to decrease after complete 3 years old. You got a new sub. Tks
I have a Westie /schnauzer mix he is a male and is the best dog ever. His name is Tucker and is 15 he does have allergies and a very sensitive stomach. He is very loyal and very loving. He developed fatty tumors we had some removed but he’s gotten more and since he is older vet said it wasn’t a good idea to put him to sleep to remove new ones.
Hi, you made an amazing Video! My 1 year old Female Westie is amazing! except one thing, barks inside, outside, everywhere, sometimes in the middle of the night...how did you manage to teach Wedtie to stop bark in the house?
Hi, thanks so much! 🥰 This is actually a great question! I think basic training helped a lot, including house rules. Like, we did crate training which helps them calm down after play sessions, instead of remaining hyped up not knowing what to do with all the energy 😅 We taught him "place" (which means he goes to his place and stays there until told otherwise). We did a lot of work on him being patient which I think helped a lot, I learned early on to not reward his state of agitation. Like if he is super hyped up, barking, jumping, he doesn't get what he wants until he calms down completely. I think that would be a good start for you to try 😃 Let me know how it goes and if you want to ask me anything further, please go ahead, I'm happy to help!
My Westie "Bubba" is a lovely chap... mostly! He hates it when I sit down to watch a film! Oh and he is a BIG doggy! He weighs in at 15KG! Every other Westie we meet is smaller and every "owner" sez "Wow! He's a biggy!" Mind you... I think he has made a pact with the devil as his birthday is Halloween (31st October for those who don't know) which sort of accounts for a lot ;-)
Thank you for this video. My boyfriend and I just got a 4 months old westie and we love him so much. How did you train Sami not to bark while in the house? That would be very helpful to know
Aww, I am happy for you and your new puppy! 😍 I recommend obedience training classes, if you can. Training Sami and having rules in the house helped with everything, including not barking inside. Things like teaching him to be calm (not encourage a state of agitation), training him to focus on you in new situations (like if he hears a noise, or meets a new dog). It takes patience and consistency, but it's key to a well behaved pup in the long run ☺
My humans did almost no research when they got me, and boy did they get a shock 🤣 whilst they wouldn't change their minds, they wished they'd watch this video before hand so they were more prepared 🤭
Hahah, I know what you mean! My human did research, but she thought I'd be different 🤣🤣 She thought if she reasoned with me I won't be stubborn. Well, it took her a while to realize it doesn't work like that 😅
My wife and I have had three Westies in our lives. All were great dogs. Westies are prone to skin problems, so expect numerous visits to the Vet. Two of our westies had Pancreatitis which caused all kinds of problems with their diet. Westies are strong and can pull hard on a leash. If you are weak or have balance issues, these dogs are not for you. A Westie bark is loud. Probably not the best dog for a small apartment. They love exercise. We miss our Westies, but wouldn't get another due to our age. Hope that helps.

@@houstondante777 Thank you, I didn't know. That palm has been there for the last 3 years and I had no idea. Im so glad you had 15 years with her.i had my last westie fir 1 month shott of 16 years. They are the best. I now have jake who is 4
Stubborn and strong, like a real terrier! 🥰💪I am sorry you lost her. It must have been 15 lovely, magical years ❤
I just had. To. Cry. *"*!!!!*. I know. What you. Went. THRU. 😔😔😔😔😔😔. I'm. So. Sorry 😢🤢🤢🤢. I hope to. GOD. You. Have. Got. Another one. 🐾🐾🐾🐾❤️. HAVE. A. GOOD. DAY. 💕💕
I lost my westie on 7/6/23 and I miss her so much!😢
I was close to making a posting about Westies and Addisons and saw yours.
I'm so sorry for your loss 💔 He had a long, loving life, he was so lucky. Sending you a hug!
I'm sorry, I recently lost my dog as well!
@@WestieVibes of course! Seeing your videos make me smile! Thank you for sharing your wonderful westie with us!
Absolutely adore my westie. She is so loving and caring but stubborn and thinks she is boss of everyone and everything.
Best dog for sure. My Westie Booby passed away last year at 18 years old. Still miss him a lot.
I KNOW this is the only breed for me. Had a westie for 15 years and miss him terribly. I like all dogs but I’m a westie lover ❤
Me too
Same here my Westie lived to 17 they are the best dogs ever
Westies are characters! I wouldn’t want to be without one.
I love, love, love this breed. I dated someone who had a Westie. I fell in love wirh the dog. Such a fun, happy, hilarious dog. Never met a Westie I haven't adored.
I miss my Westie she was 15 years old, really great with kids and full of personality I would get a Westie in a heartbeat
I am on my 3rd male Westie. Great dogs with loving personalities.
I would never have another breed now westies are the besties 🐶💕🐾
We had a 15 year old Westie and he was the best dog you could ask for, such a character and personality. He had to be put to sleep due to falling ill with incurable Lymphoma on 07/11/2023.
My westie is 12. I’ve had him since he was 8 weeks old. He is my love. They are just the best dogs. They are German Shepard protective and Yorkie sit in your lap.
I have a four year old Westie girl. She’s 14 lbs and looooves cuddles and attention! Best dogs ever
You ought to have one. The most beautiful, friendly, smart, attached and brave
Westie they are so cute i just cant i cant 😢😢❤❤❤❤❤❤ im gonna have him in near future
You are right, they are expensive indeed. You gave me an idea to make a video about the expenses, it could be interesting 🙂
Good luck.
So beautiful little boba eyes ❤...I love all breeds ❤🐾🐾
We are recent Westie converts having taken a 31/2 y.o. girl into our care. She is THE MOST DELIGHTFUL little dog. I think it'll be Westies for us from now on. Great video btw.
I am happy to hear! 🧡💛 Enjoy your girl! They are the best. Thanks for your lovely comment 😍
Great video! I’m a Westie owner for life, however not everybody is cut out for the breed. You do a great job explaining this. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Melissa, thank you so much ❤
We love our Westies. We had 2 sets Ricky & Lucy. Ricky lived to 12 & Lucy to15. Mac and Mazey now six. Such a sweet smart breed, love them.❤️❤️❤️
I’m currently on 3 waiting list for another Westie. Lost my Boomer almost 4 years ago, best fur baby ever.❤
What a great video! Sammy is so adorable. I am owned by my third Westie, Roxie -- she is just the best!
Haha, she owns you, I love that!
We have Scottie's, always liked Westie's too ! Your's is beautiful and so well trained !! 😍❤️🇺🇸
Our old Westie loved to cuddle aaaaall day long! I miss him a lot :(
Get a whole basket of Westies❤
I have had 1 female and 2 males. They are fabulous entertainment.
This video is 100% correct!
I love Westie's, too! my 7 year old furbaby girl Bailey Rose ❤ is just amazing. This is our third Westie.
Each one is so unique!! Love your videos, thanks!
Absolutely you will love every day, they are beautiful dogs, l had a westie l lost to a brain tumour, still missing her, she was gorgeous ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Well my Westie George loves your videos so much he has figured out how to watch it again and watching different scenes by swiping with his nose and tapping with his paw! They’re simply the best little doggies
Had a westie Niko for over 12 years .. best dog , best personality , had health issues but what a love Miss him still...
Had one for 13 years.
He had to have his Cruciate Ligament fixed when he was 7.
Died 3 years ago.
Now have a 4 month old Westie pup.
I am so sorry to hear. Enjoy your new puppy, 4 months is an exciting age! 💛
@@WestieVibes Yes, he beats a (just) one year old Paterdale up 😁
I have two girl Westies. I have heard boy westie are very loving. I think as you said they are all different. One of mine is definitely more of the lap dog the other girl is more independent but also more emotional and demanding when she wants food or a walk ( we call it throwing a tantrum) . I would not be without both of them. Westie are great little dogs.
My male westie is a snuggled bug !! 😂😂or used ti be till he became a old man at 19 .. but he does give in once and a while 😬😂😂
Ada , you are describing my westie girl too . 😂👍
Thanks so much! 😍🤗
Sami’s so adorable he has such an adorable personality!
Oh my goshhh so adorable❤ we have a female cairn terrier and so similar, love that video!
I love cairns too, I heard they are very similar! ❤ Thank you, I am happy you liked it!
Love this video - thanks!... but, not sure how accurate the no drool comment is! My rescue was so food obsessed, when you told her to wait and she saw food, she would drool a little! Love her/miss her!
I don't even have a westie. But I subscribed because Sami is adorable and I love your videos!😂❤
Aw, this makes me so happy to hear!! 🤗 Sami is sending you some nose kisses right now!
Your dog it’s just beautiful ! 😍😍😍
What treats do you recommend for training - our new westie is rather fussy! Sami seams to love the treats you gave him. Love your videos!! ❤😊
You wrote a dissertation 😂
omw to 40 pages baby@@cojack424
Had a Westie, shes been the most cunning and smart dog I ever owned. She did something she wouldnt hide her tail under her, she would smile with upper teeth showing.
Ahaha, proud Westie right there!
I had a male Westie till he was 16 . He had diabetes and Cataract’s . He was smart and very lovable. His name was Richie .
My westie also had diabetes and just recently passed away from a nose tumor 💔 I loved him so much and miss him. They are the best
great video! mine has a trait that you didn't mention. my westie Buddy is very "SNEAKY".
Maybe he is testing you to see if you're paying attention to him 😅❤
once you have a westie its hard to have another breed❤
Thank you for the beautiful tears I feel the same way about my Lucy girl
So lovely and loving is westiepo breed❤️👍👌
Wonderful iinsight into life with a westie. Loved the footage, nice editing 😊
Insightful video! I have 3! They are amazing.
Please make a video on how you trained Sami to not bark indoors 🙏🏼
I have a Westie and the barking is terrible. Every sound he hears in the house or outside. Barks like crazy at every dog he sees! So stressful to take him out everyday!😩😩😩 Would never get this dog again! He’s a good watch dog though and will alert you to anything !My German Shepard you never hear a peep out of him unless someone rings the bell.

Thank you, Westie Vibes! I love your videos! I have a little Westie boy named Teddy McGhee. He is 3 months and we are working on potty training which is tough! Do you have any videos for that?
Best Breed Ever ! 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

I plan to get another
W końcu znalazłam vlogi z Westami, tak mało ich na YT. Thank you ❤️🇵🇱
Winston and Piper are Westies each with their own personality. Winston is 14 and he is wise and happy, Piper is 7 and she like to be in charge! Both are the sweetest and a joy to challenge the day's fun and adventure.
I have a 15 year old westie. They are the best family dog. Personality plus
I have two girls! Every thing you have touched upon here is soooooo true.
Yes we should. Mine is the dog and so adorable, he is very very active.
Love this video! You explained everthing about Westies.
Thanks so much!

Yes, it IS worth it in the long run!
A sad time 💔😭
I am so sorry 💔She knows she is very loved and you gave her the best life, so she was very lucky. I am sending you a big hug!
OMG SO TRUE! My baby doesn't realize she only weighs 13 lbs! hahaha. She is BOSSY! Love my Westie.
I have several disabling medical conditions, I am disabled due to very serious medical conditions and because of how sick I get
I need another West Highland Terrier. Maggie may is a sweet name my daughter and my physician are pushing me to
another therapy dog trained and in my lowest depression I'd present, I often woke up with daisy laying on my shoulder and her nose rested on my cheek. If I moved, she would suddenly sit up and just as quick observation of why I awoke, then bam!! OK lights out, don't wake me rup again. She had so much love in her little bigģ 💕 ❤️ heart. She used to sit in front of a neighbors door they have a cat that loved playing with DAISY "LUNCH BOX" MAY
I am alone and I find myself sitting up the entire night time.
Today is one of those days.
Do you sale your westie puppies and where would you be coming from? I do not know what the process would be to
Purchase a sweet westie. I am on SOCIAL SECURITY for my only income money, and nothing more. tIt would be interesting to find out more about your little puppies. They are so sweet, and that size is all I can handle.

Also my German Shepherd and chihuahua mis them very hard. They were frends for life. Very sad moments. Rip my frend. We had 12 wondefull years togetter.
Thanks for the info. I see how much joy Sami brings to your life. What do you think of Westie mixes?
Thanks again for the content
hi!! i’ve just got a westie and i’m wondering if you have a video about what you should strictly train your westie to do?
Tks
Great video. I’m a westie owner of Winston.
yes i have one they playful
My Ted was just like this !
Обожаем Вестиков !)) 😊😊😊😊
Westies are so cute. I would love to get one! ❤
Well, it took her a while to realize it doesn't work like that 😅
Stubbornness is part of their charm, they do it so cutely.
Ho una westina ....la adoro...sono stupendi....saluti dall ITALIA 🇮🇹 e da MILU"...la mia westhigland ❤️🤗🥰
Pulling on a leash is down to poor training never the strength of the dog.
