An easy way to know the blade is on correctly is make sure you're able to read the face of the blade. If the blade is on the shinny side, flip it around where you can read the information (size of blade, manufacturer, etc.). Thanks for the information. The button that locks the blade in place is a neat feature. My old saw doesn't have that.
