How to Watch for Changes to the DOM (Attribute, Text or Children) - MutationObserver in JavaScript

  • In this video I'll be showing you how to use the powerful MutationObserver in JavaScript which let's you watch for changes in the DOM tree.
    Using the MutationObserver you're able to react for things like when an elements attribute or text changes as well as when nodes have been added or removed from a parent node/element. In this video I'll be covering a few examples of how to do those things.

    Thanks for this great tutorial.
    I'd like to know if it's possible to use mutation observer to capture when a file is selected for upload. If it does, do you have any idea how I can achieve it? It does not seem to work for me.

    Well explained. However, can mutation Observer be use to capture the change when a file is selected for upload in HTML file input element? It seems not to work for me in that respect
