I think Citrine is perfect for begginers, like she have all the essencials, lot of healing, energy source, good 3rd ability for defense, dmg reduction, and doesnt require rare mods or arcanes to work, persobally, my 1st recomendation for new tennos
True... But she's also built around the one thing that easily Confuses New Players... *Status Effects* 😱 I think New players would be better off with Excalibur... Death and Energy be Damned.
@@lookalike4805honestly I disagree. Status effects are confusing, but Citrine craps them out so well that it trivialises the concept for new players. They don't need to mess around with stat sticks or weapon swaps or companion mods. Press 3, press 1, profit.
I love this build so much, Citrine is probably my new main now. Other Citrine videos I watched in the past said that prismatic gem was her go-to subsume slot but I *love* that ability so this build makes me so happy.
I've played Citrine with Roar on 4 for quite some time (and nobody can convince me she is not an S tier Warframe) and there is another synergy that I think is pretty neat as well: Roar augment: Piercing Roar. It primes enemies with another proc that you didn't have before (1 procs impact and slash but no puncture), AND it fully stacks puncture on enemies making them hit way less harder, paired with Citrine 2, my random pub squdmates litteraly can't die in Archon hunt or any content that deals high damage, that's ridiculous. It also boosts weapons crit if you wanna use weapons. AND, last but not least, Piercing Roar puncture procs that now have a base duration of 10sec (affected by power duration) have their duration buffed by Citrine's 3 Status duration buff (also affected by power duration, double dipping on it), which is not that useful on targets that die quickly, but that is a nice additional synergy that I like. Piercing Roar won't make you kill faster, but I really like the fact it synergizes with Citrine so perfectly for all these reasons.

I was lucky to watch this on live stream, good job man THIS IS THE ESSENCE OF WARFRAME, find new ways to do things using the thousands mechanics the game offers, and on this warframe SHINES (it's a pity not many people knows this about the game, it would be much more popular). Good job showing these aspects of wf, keep it up !!
It is still worth using green shards on this build. If you go too far against armored enemies, the damage will drop off pretty significantly but if you use archon continuity and green shards then that means enemies will lose armor and proceed to melt under heat/toxin status effects, which means the build will easily scale into the level 1000+ range in steel path. Sure it obliderates level 200 corrupted but lets be real, you can do that with pretty much anything nowadays.
I can recommend this build, one of mine mine is very similar from when citrene came out, still viable without the Whispers goodies (now I'm gonna try the corrosive shards + Archon Continuity. Maybe Viral tempest?) I figured out her 1 does surprising amounts of slash damage when I tried to use her as a C.O. primer for leveling weapons in eso. I didn't even have to shoot or melee, everything just died coating the floor in energy. Things snowballed from there until I just subsumed roar over her 4.
I have a citrine build that uses 4 Archon Mods, honestly overkill... but she can utilize all of them so this build give me more reason to play her... thank you for making this video❤ Merry Christmas, from my side of the world 😂
It could be cool, if you have the recordings, to make lists of things that you tested and dont work. Like mesa with toxins and archon continuity. It shows the effort you put in the builds, how some things we belive that could work dont, and why, and.. it would make more content.
The problem with that Strategy is those Builds actually Will work... You see Tenno.... KMF isn't mad because they don't work.... He mad because they are Not Optimal.... Which honestly isn't a Problem on it own but the thing that Really Drives me up the Wall is when Someone Presents an idea like that as if it IS optimal. 😤
Specifically, I've been fine overcapping energy on Citrine with 300 Strength, 45% Efficiency running just Primed Flow and one normal purple Equilarchon shard. Her generation capacity is just insane! I'm praying for a Prismatic Gem augment that cuts aura range by 80% and damage by 40% but makes it follow you like a sentinel; I'd call it Lapis Loyalty. We can dream, right? 😂
Cutting it by 80% is a little harsh, no? That would leave the Citrine in the video with 5.25m radius. And that's modded up. Unless you mean baserange, which would come out to 3m baserange, which, after mods, would be more, but at the same time make every single mod dedicated to increasing that range super shitty.
@@marvingonzalez926 the idea is solo mobile over group static. I love Citrine but in things like Void Cascade she falls off due to high movement requirement and recasting the gem every movement is time consuming. Having it follow would be incredibly powerful and would need balancing somehow.
@@marvingonzalez926 not if it follows you, you'd always be in its radius, but only you and maybe sentinel. The gem's beams have infinite range, they just only target what you hit with weapon attacks from within the skill radius.
Legit feels like u turning into a pocket primer citrine for the team. Not to mention u boost their damage with roar, give em dmg reduction and energy/health all the time. Honestly best support along with wisp I swear to god.

Man love this idea have to try it out was trying nourish citrine for sp circuit since she basically turns into a nuclear power plant keeping everyone’s energy topped up they really need to re work her forth ability or at least give it an augment tbh
I use Pillage for the Armor Strip help, and i have Diriga as my companion to add even more statuses.. i posted my build on Overframe for Citrine awhile ago, pretty similar to this
You dont need adaptation her second gives you 90 percent damage reduction over all already. But you could put an armor mod on if you wanted or health conversion cause all the health orbs she drops but does she really need it?
You can actually command your sentinel with Citrine's finger to nuke enemies Take your normal status spread sentinel and mix it into this build. With bane on the weapon.
I have a Corufell setup that got 100% damage on a 40min Arbitration run stat screen because the rest of the squad's damage was a rounding error. Was fun as all Hell! 😂
If you don't have roar then use eclipse or no helmith ability. Eclipse does basically the same as roar but eclipse is very inconsistent so nobody uses it, also you really don't need roar/eclipse unless you're going far into steel path so if you don't have eclipse or roar then just use the normal 4 from citrine since it is a better damage boost against single enemies like eximus which is the only thing that will be alive when using this build anyways
Go to Venus and do that assassination until you get rhino pieces, build, then helmith. Easiest normal frame to get with one of the best abilities to helmith lol
Exalted weps didn't get melee arcanes tho. Baruuk's build didn't change all that much. You can grab grimoire for some alt fire regens or ability power/duration/efficiency buffs but that's about it.
@KnightmareFrame My good Tenno, I know you are busy, but I would like your opinion on a combination with Citrine. Seeing how strong this build is, I think I found a primary that partners well with Citrine. I know I am a little slow on getting some items, but I just aquired Gotva Prime. WIth its unique trait, what is your opinion on using that Primary, especially if you push for a high Status Chance?
I made a build with it and it's very good. 2 green shards and build on corrosive and subsume her 4 for Nourish with negative efficiency and adaptation, I also use Molt augmented and Madurai. Very good build but requires investment

Rather than having 3 energy max shards I would highly recommend using 3 strength shards (30% or 45% if Tau) and swapping augur secrets for archon flow or primed flow(archon can give you another orb if the cold damage from 3 kills an enemy, overkill I know). If you do this you can just offload augur set bonus to the book since you are using it as utility anyhow.
I've been playing a really close build to this. Just used red shards, and built grimoire for attack speed with secondary encumber. Your shots can trigger prism and you only have to use your 1 when you need energy. I use gas and electric for aoe. No need for armor stripping you will have every status max and high stacks in seconds if they survive long enough to see the stacks.
@@unittool2098 I think it would be, and would have to have it’s effectiveness reduced somewhat to balance it out, so that’s there still also a kind of incentive for the stationary one too. But I don’t know how these things tend to work, and have only just Citrine after the grind aha. Haven’t tried Mirage yet.
@@noahedenborg4221why not? It's not a universal damage buff but the breach surge damage boost is like 4x more than roar and it provides CC. If you use roar, you'll still have to use a weapon to kill eximus with this build. If you use breach surge, you'll have to drop breach surge on the eximus or use your weapons. There is very little difference
Just a question have you ever tried not using rolling guard and primed sure footed. They are good but what if you don’t have them what would you use instead. I see a lot of your work has those mods, one or the other. Not trying to step on anyone toes. Asking a friend
in this video he tells you some alternate mods for PSF (Handspring or Pain Threshold). Rolling Guard is a pretty unique effect for a mod, however you can get the same effect from the Vazarin focus school. This does mean that builds that are dependent on other focus schools don't have a great answer for temporary invulnerability.
rolling guard helps to clean status effects from eximus units or if you think you’re about to get downed but realistically you don’t need it as you can just sit in operator form for a sec but that second of sitting in operator form is a second of less damage and just doing nothing, and that’s why primed surefooted is there also, just less time on the ground as rarely as it might happen and more damage but realistically not needed at all
I just remembered there is also unairu focus school for up to 40sec of knock down immunity from Poise, the first focus skill from this skilltree, when switching back from operator form. This is what I use on citrine, since she doesn't need the extra energy from zenurik. You can also get from this focus school a 100% armor strip from Caustic Strike, which makes killing acolytes even faster than showed in the video (you don't need it but it is always fun to kill them faster). Ancient healer specter is another option. They give overguard which, while active, will grant u knock down immunity.

This build - non-maxed, no shards, no Sentinel, no book. It went pretty okay going 5 rounds on Steel Path Circuit solo.

In this case, the one that adds 2 more corrosive stacks, you need 2 to be able to fully strip armor

Hand spring for prime sure footed or sure footed. Literally any other mod that can be used to survive in place of rolling gaurd.
I suggest trying sure footed with power drift for 90% chance to resist knock down.

Rolling Guard is a pretty unique effect for a mod, however you can get the same effect from the Vazarin focus school. This does mean that builds that are dependent on other focus schools don't have a great answer for temporary invulnerability.
rolling guard helps to clean status effects from eximus units or if you think you’re about to get downed but realistically you don’t need it as you can just sit in operator form for a sec
but that second of sitting in operator form is a second of less damage and just doing nothing, and that’s why primed surefooted is there also, just less time on the ground as rarely as it might happen and more damage but realistically not needed at all
I just remembered there is also unairu focus school for up to 40sec of knock down immunity from Poise, the first focus skill from this skilltree, when switching back from operator form. This is what I use on citrine, since she doesn't need the extra energy from zenurik. You can also get from this focus school a 100% armor strip from Caustic Strike, which makes killing acolytes even faster than showed in the video (you don't need it but it is always fun to kill them faster).
Ancient healer specter is another option. They give overguard which, while active, will grant u knock down immunity.
