Hey Nick, we’ve never been to Moody Gardens. We are always focused on getting close to the port and Galveston itself isn’t that interesting to me, sorry I’m a bonafide Texan, so I can go there! 😂 thank for sharing!

How many slaves did the moody family own? I know they made their wealth on the cotton and slave trade then when slavery was abolished they needed to find something less shady so they took up banking LOL and OG moody was a colonel in the confederate army (even named the paddlewheel after him) but cant find the number of slaves actually ownes
