    Thats pretty damn cool bro Good Work Matey . Makes My skull look like shit😂I did a very similar process but with clay when i did a few copper skulls a while back. I dont think people watching actually realize the time and effort that goes into making these melting casting vids!!Liked and Subbed😀👍

      @ArtByAdrock  6 лет назад +2

      bigstackD Casting thanks bro! Dido.. it takes a lot of time if you want them to turn out good.. try doing yours with plaster casting and lost wax.. it took a while to to burn out the wax in my oven but worth it. Keep up the good work!

    • @Jsellers1965
      @Jsellers1965 6 лет назад

      Did you use the stove or the brick oven to burn out the wax? Everytime I burn the wax out the plaster breaks apart.

    • @ArtByAdrock
      @ArtByAdrock  6 лет назад +2

      I used the stove for the wax and slowly heated it up. I did this for about 4-5 hours each day for a couple days. If you use half silica sand and half plaster it will bond better and less likely to break apart. Hope that helps 👍🏻

    • @Jsellers1965
      @Jsellers1965 6 лет назад +2

      I've never tried the sand thing. I'll try that next time. Thanks!

    • @ArtByAdrock
      @ArtByAdrock  6 лет назад +2

      No prob. Yeah I highly recommend adding sand to the plaster. If it’s a small piece with fine detail, try painting on the plaster first with a brush and letting that harden before adding the rest. See my miniature archer vid for more info

    where can i purchase this elbow grease , i have looked all over for it but cant seem to find any ?

    • @buzzincalifornia
      @buzzincalifornia 4 года назад

      Shawn, you’re in luck, I am the only authorized reseller of Elbow Grease in the United States. Elbow Grease and left handed monkey wrenches are the only products I sell. The Elbow Grease is manufactured under my strict supervision to assure the highest standards in the grease industry.
      Because of past misunderstandings with PayPal I am no longer accepting PayPal as payment, Western Union is a long standing reputable company with a long history dating back to the old west, so I only accept Money Grams as payment.
      No worries, I was an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts and rest assure sending me money is safe and secure, you will be soon applying elbow grease to your aluminum skulls.
      Thanks,
      Bearnie M.

    Can aluminium and copper be cast straight into silicone?

    • @ArtByAdrock
      @ArtByAdrock  5 лет назад +1

      Are you talking about rubber silicone mold? That would not work at all. It would need to be at least in a casting plaster mix. The temp on copper is over 1900 degrees and would melt silicone instantly. Same with aluminum. 👍🏻 hope that helps

    • @kylarstern7627
      @kylarstern7627 5 лет назад +1

      @@ArtByAdrock Damn it!! I had hoped that there might be some high-temp Silicone that would take the heat! I don't know what petrobond costs where you are but here (Australia ) it's a metric F@#k ton! Thought I had come up with an easy reusable solution! 😐😑😐

    • @ArtByAdrock
      @ArtByAdrock  5 лет назад +1

      Kylar Stern yes you can, get some silicon sand and kitty litter and you can make your own greensand for cheap. You’ll have to grind up the kitty litter into powder but that’s bentonite clay and when you mix it with sand and light water you’ll have perfectly good greensand for casting 👍🏻

    Where did the flames come from?
    And why is the metal blue?

    • @ArtByAdrock
      @ArtByAdrock  5 лет назад +2

      I don’t think all the wax was completely melted out so I’m pretty sure that’s why I got all those flames. And I think it’s blue cause I was using an old camera and I think the color balance was just off. I didn’t have enough lighting at the time either 👍🏻 hope that helps
