One of the cool things about this song is how Kanye and Bon Iver sing different parts in the chorus. Kanye says "I'm lost in the world, I'm down on my mind, I'm building a city, and I'm down for the night" and Bon Iver sings "I'm lost in the woods, I'm down on my time, I'm building a still, and I'm down for the night." At the time Bon Iver was asked by Kanye to do this song, he was living in a log cabin in the middle of the wilderness to find himself after a string of unsuccessful attempts to break into the music industry which explains his lyrics. Kanye, in contrast, lives in LA and probably felt lost after the controversy surrounding 808's and Heartbreak and also the loss of his mother. You can feel the pain and desire for redemption from both men in this song, truly is touching. Kanye shows the genius of balancing two narratives in one song, and that is something remarkable to listen to.
bon iver was a successful project for justin vernon before this was recorded. he was signed to jagjaguwar and for emma was a critical and commerical success. his time spent in his fathers cabin was because he had mono, and he recorded fefa around the time he recovered from the illness in 2006-2007. this song was recorded two years later (2009). love the narrative but you have many facts wrong.
Guys get your lyrics right: Bon Iver's part is "I'm up in the woods, I'm down on my mind, I'm building a still, to slow down the time" While Kanye's is "I'm lost in the world, been down my whole life, I'm new in the city, and I'm down for the night"

@@re-dna7099 I would say it could not be one without the other, but Justin's original was not a hit. To be honest, I don't even like it; it's a completely different song. Vernon's contribution is the main chorus and a few lyrics. Central to the song? Absolutely. But to say Justin is the reason this song is good, no.
@B P I know, and I love the original Bon Iver track. But Kanye added so much to it, with the production and the vocals and everything, he turned it into something else
My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is a reflection of Kanye's soul. He will be hailed for his work after 20 or 10 years, as one of the greatest music composers to ever live in 2000s on planet earth.
Taking years alone isolated with nothing but your thoughts and barely being able to keep yourself sane then coming back to society 50x a better person than you used to be and forgiving your self through like like kanye
Kanye is a genius, but you have to give credit to Bon Iver as well, a genius in his own right. Without him, this song would not be possible. I wish him and Kanye would create an album together, the sound that would be, unimaginable. .
Oh my goodness, this song gives me mixed feelings. It's a song I listen to when I want to cry, when I feel like rejoicing, when I feel like falling apart or rebooting. A song I play during the calm before the storm, during the storm, and when the sun rises again. I love it
This guy truly lives in the Future. The world was not ready for 808 & heartbreak album. And it ain’t still ready for Life of Pablo 2016 either. He’s A LEGEND!!!
E.J. Craig yeah i barely started loving Kanye recently and i appreciate him now more than before. I used to hate on him just cause everyone did and now that ive broken out of the “media” mindset, ive really respected this man.
I never hear anyone talk about how incredible the part is at 3:27. That low and booming vocoded voice going “whole world, whole life city, night” sends chills down my spine. anyone agree?
are you fucking crazy? what about 3:10 when those voice come in? fucking absolutely madness. this could easily be kanye's best fucking track for so many different reasons. i don't think it is, but it could be,
@TyetheRebel I don't fall under any of those criterias. Stuff like the N-word is very racist though, and I think you need to understand why we go out and protest. We go out for change, there is still racism and discrimination. I understand things are worded kinda weird out there but lemme explain. The phrase "not all lives matter until black lives matter" isnt degrading other lives, it's asking why you say all lives matter when many racist people discriminate against lives which makes it so not all lives matter yet. We're trying to fight for change, not control or to call out people who aren't racist.
You can’t listen to the lyrics of this song and watch what Kanye is going through right now and not feel some sort of sorrow for the man. He’s been struggling in front of our eyes for years. We need you Ye.
This whole album and a good portion of 808s was a clear call for help/outcry about the pain and turmoil he was fighting. It reminds me of that line in Hey Ya! by Outkast: "Y'all don't wanna hear me, y'all just wanna dance."
that second hook @ (2:20) with the choir singing literally brings tears to my eyes, not sure if its the meaning behind the words or simply how beautiful it sounds but i cant get over it. this song speaks to me , and my generation, on so many levels i cant help but get emotional every time i hear it. this whole ablum was a masterpiece at a pivotal time in my life. such a shame to see him fall so low in these past few years but ill still love the "old" kanye

6laderunner Kanye produces all of his music and a ton of popular artists like Drake, he also writes raps for a ton of popular artists. Take a look at the writers/producers of almost any popular hip hop song, Kanye will be on it. He makes his own beats which are some of the best ever made. And he can rap as well as anyone ever. And you say he's overrated? Well that's just not true
1:49 is the reasons I still being in this world. I remember being depressed because a bad relationship and I was playing random songs, then Lost In The World played, at first I wasn’t really having it, then the song intensified and I felt life going through all my body and started to dance. Now I’m my best version and I never imagined being this happy in my life. I really appreciate Ye for saving me. 🖤
If you didnt know already Kanye and Vernon were in the studio for the entire production of the entire album. They are actually really good friends, Kanye is also in the special thanks for the upcoming Bon Iver album.
explain to me how completely ripping Bon Iver's genius a song not even 10 years old can make this a masterpiece. How.. By adding a bunch of noise and drums to it? Literally anyone in the music industry could have made this in their sleep. The original Woods is the creative spark.
The general population won't understand Kanye until he passes away, they're too brainwashed by the media, the man is a musical genius who expresses his emotions purely through his music and has helped many people through tough times.
Kanye, if you ever read this, you’ve saved my life more than once man. Your art hasn’t gone unnoticed or was never for nothing. You’re moving people, saving them & even pushing them to chase what they love. God bless 🙏🏼 “Yeezy” will always be my answer when someone asks who my favorite artist is. Love you brother.

He'll be okay. I have a mental disorder and a crazy passion to get my name public. I have my breakdowns too. Having a mental disorder is a bitch, but he's strong. Kanye just needs to get healthy again and continue being Kanye.
Man, I can't believe I just found his music recently. Like this man is one hell of a musical genius. You can see his growth, creativity, and artistry in his discography. MBDTF to be exact is the greatest album that I've ever listened to. The feels, the emotions, the creativity that he put and the other artists, as well as producers, are Fucking tremendous that it made the album unique, it's amazing. Kanye is one of the greatest artists, he's a big inspiration for me. Too bad that people always focus on his controversies, and being bipolar rather than listening to his words and appreciating him. People will just know how great he was when he dies, hopefully, he won't be gone soon... and I hope that people will take their time to understand him and appreciate the ART he made and will be making.
that’s the thing. it’s the musical growth, through his ego, maturity, family, it’s like all a big film through his discography from the 2004-07 era then his mom died then everything changed , egotistical from 2011-2014 then 2016-2018 he began to change now he is a changed man and it perfectly shows that through his music
I remember almost bursting into tears the first time I heard that female choir come in at 2:18ish mark. I've been following Ye's career since before The College Dropout came out and I felt so proud of him, as a fan. The composition on this is just incredible.
Nah I wouldn't say it didn't have its bad tracks. So Appalled was pretty terrible IMO. But Dark fantasy, Gorgeous, Power, All of the Lights, this, and Blame Game make up for it.
Absolutely Kanye's most underrated work, regardless of views. I mean 13.4 milions is a lot, but i still feel like i'm a member of an exclusive club where people appreciate this masterpiece.
I have enjoyed Bon Iver for a while, and yes the chorus is definitely great by itself. I am not trying to downplay Bon Iver by any means. I am just enjoying that Kanye West was able to recognize the track for what it was and put a great spin on it.
This might be my favorite song on the album, maybe because of how much i slept on it when i first heard it but re-listening to it years later was an unexplainable feeling
First time I heard this song was when I woke up at like 2 in the morning at a mates place, stoned as fuck and they played this on their tv. I was completely blown away and it was simply incredible.

As i grew older i became more and more fond of his songs and began to watch his interviews and realised this man was spitting straight facts. Love him now, one of few celeb who is real to the world and defiantly among the top 3 artist of the 21st century
People like to hate on Kanye because of some poor actions he made in the eye of the media, while not realizing his unbelievable musical talent, they hate him just because it's cool to hate him, he's one of the best musical producers and rappers of our time, and fuck any hater, I'll always stay repping Yeezy.
This is literally what I tell to every Kanye's "hater" I find... But unfortunately people focus on the life more than the work all this people make. Kanye is a truly special artist, with tons of talent, but people just cares about him for being Kim's "controversial" husband.
This song is proof that popularity and quality have nothing to do with one another anymore. This is a masterpiece and everytime I come here I expect millionsss of views and then get disappointed by how meaningless music gets popular quick and this doesnt. Idk i just cant seem to grasp it.
+Blobidibi BoubouBa (ElectricBlob) For a Kanye song it's incredibly underrated. If you look at most of Kanye's other videos they get like 50-150million
Genius. Pure genius. The symphonic slow walk..and then.. the drums grab on.. and never let go....then... the Gil Scott Heron chaser. One of Ye's best. Produced to perfection.
Give this song a couple more years.... and maybe people will finally understand the song and how powerful his music really is. This song really was released 10 years to early and I KNOW this song will come back.
Anyone who says Kanye West is "shit" or "a douche", doesn't have the capacity to understand the emotional depth of his struggle, which is expressed through his music. What you judge others to be is really a reflection of yourself -- Kanye is an insecure genius who happens to be in the biggest public spotlight in human history. You think you feel good when your Instagram post gets 100 likes? Try getting 10 million. What would that do to your mind? Your ego? Kanye is both a hero and a victim of our modern culture's fucked up notion of what success means. His music breaks through all of the garbage and hits your heart and soul with its raw emotions and melodic beauty. I challenge anyone who hates on Kanye to look through his discography, look past the image in the magazines, and really try to vibe with what he's saying and what he's feeling. Kanye is on some MJ meets Mozart shit. His collaboration with McCartney was out of this world and the upcoming 7 songs they have I predict will be equally astounding.
The way he flipped the lost in the woods sample. Oh my god. It gives this song a whole different vibe than the original. It gives a slight feeling of hope while the original is just straight hopelessness and being lost. This gives the feeling of being lost but wanting to be found and having hope

our nature is divisive and we tend toward the destructive, tearing down and looking for reasons to do so. if i am persecuting you i don't look at my own issues and can leave them unaddressed which is less daunting. we want mercy for ourselves but reluctantly give it away. but i second what you said.
Fabio Yostar it’s because we are just now catching up to Kanye when he made this song in the present he is still years ahead of us like he says he is ten years in the future he has to slow down to process everything from the future to the present
This song, in my opinion, is one of the best album closers of all time. It's worth buying and listening to My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy just to get to Lost in the Woods at the very end. It encapsulates the whole record - the pomp, the grandiosity, the euphoria and the introspection - in 4 minutes. It is sublime in every sense of the word.
I like to think of Watch the Throne not as an anomaly amongst his discography, but rather as a victory lap celebrating the height of artistic achievement, passion, and emotion that went into MBDTF. Hence lyrics on Lift Off; "We gon’ take it to the moon, take it to the stars How many people you know can take it this far?" Kanye and Nas are my favorite hip-hop artists of all time. I am very glad that both of these legends are still putting out great music.
In conclusion, I feel like MBDTF changed hip-hop forever. Even before its release, the hype surrounding it influenced the whole hip-hop game and even the music game. Few hip-hop albums (including Illmatic) match the immense star power of MBDTF.
Sometimes i feel shame and regret about things i did or missed, And it's a heavy feeling. And I listen to this song, and remember there is always a new start and a new chance for everyone. Thanks Kanye :)

He said in an interview that he wrote this song for Kim when he was in love with her and she was in a relationship with other guys before they married.

For the longest time I secretly felt Kanye West is the shit. All these comments from people who feel the same, is sublime Kanye songs have got me through some rough times. And jammed with me during some good ones You the man Mr. West
‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’ An artistic masterpiece of an album that tells a story about the beauty and dangers of fame and love presented in amazing ways with extremely realistic musical elements with pianos and orchestral sounds, and amazing usage of sampling small elements of some know/unknown 1960’s, 1970’s & early 1980’s old school songs to make something completely original. Also extraordinary mature subject matter used very well lyrically throughout the album. Whether you like Kanye or not this thing is thing is a masterpiece that won’t be forgotten.
This song gives me chills every fucking time. Such a perfect ending to a masterpiece as Runaway. And I know he wrote it for Kim, but I think it has A LOT to do with his mom. Kanye is lost and stuck in a shallow world where he doesn't belong to, a world which took his beloved mother's life, that's why he wants her lover to run away with him from all this mess. It's beautiful, powerful and tragic at the same time. So much respect for this man.
@@user-wx8mi1pd6g I very recently got into listening to Kanye. Went from God is King Sunday Service, to Life of Pablo/Ye, then College Dropout/Graduation. Yesterday I listened to more songs of MDBTF without paying attention. Today I saw for the first time the Runaway Film and consequently paid attention to the lyrics. I absolutely love the overly religious Kanye, he is beautiful and happy and in my opinion makes his earlier projects (especially MBDTF) sooo much better. This specific song really feels like a happy ending to the album and the fact that he is who he is today tells us that that ending is everlasting. The verse in this song is a poem to Kim Kardashian and i am so happy for him to be where he is today with his children and with god and that he didn't turn back to his former self.

Oh my goodness, this song gives me mixed feelings. It's a song I listen to when I want to cry, when I feel like rejoicing, when I feel like falling apart or rebooting. A song I play during the calm before the storm, during the storm, and when the sun rises again. I love it

I never hear anyone talk about how incredible the part is at 3:27. That low and booming vocoded voice going “whole world, whole life city, night” sends chills down my spine. anyone agree?

Right!
The whole song gives me chills

Hearing the “Who will survive in america” just hits differently now a days
I'm from Brazil, this fits too much with the ignorance that the government here have to his people
Yes but the song is not about that
@TyetheRebel thats me im the insane leftist sjw
@TyetheRebel I don't fall under any of those criterias. Stuff like the N-word is very racist though, and I think you need to understand why we go out and protest. We go out for change, there is still racism and discrimination. I understand things are worded kinda weird out there but lemme explain. The phrase "not all lives matter until black lives matter" isnt degrading other lives, it's asking why you say all lives matter when many racist people discriminate against lives which makes it so not all lives matter yet. We're trying to fight for change, not control or to call out people who aren't racist.
TyetheRebel I'm not reading all that shit, but most of what you said was really stupid and not reflecting of the entire ""sjw"" ideologies.
You can’t listen to the lyrics of this song and watch what Kanye is going through right now and not feel some sort of sorrow for the man. He’s been struggling in front of our eyes for years. We need you Ye.
Subsequenc3 People have been making fun of him but I really hope he gets the help he needs.
@The Mincer He needs it... Still hurting
Truth.
This whole album and a good portion of 808s was a clear call for help/outcry about the pain and turmoil he was fighting. It reminds me of that line in Hey Ya! by Outkast: "Y'all don't wanna hear me, y'all just wanna dance."
@@animezaeyeah as a kid I always listened to that song and then a few months ago I looked at the actual lyrics and it was actually kinda sad
that second hook @ (2:20) with the choir singing literally brings tears to my eyes, not sure if its the meaning behind the words or simply how beautiful it sounds but i cant get over it. this song speaks to me , and my generation, on so many levels i cant help but get emotional every time i hear it. this whole ablum was a masterpiece at a pivotal time in my life. such a shame to see him fall so low in these past few years but ill still love the "old" kanye

The song and the video define what art is supposed to do, kanye is a creative genius.
are you stupid?
6laderunner but he is a creative genius for putting it together.
the last 30 seconds is one of the greatest pieces of music ive ever fucking heard. you have to listen closely and hear all the different things working together its mindblowing
Yes, it shows God struggle in the world. Yes.
This is the track that finally made me believe, "Wow. This guy is actually a genius."
I'm sure Justin Vernon knows his friend Kanye is a genius.
It's called sampling.....
It took you 12 years... but better late than ever, right?
The general population won't understand Kanye until he passes away, they're too brainwashed by the media, the man is a musical genius who expresses his emotions purely through his music and has helped many people through tough times.
Yes thank you finally someone understands
I can't stand people that say Taylor swift is better it's not even close
Unfortunately though, the brainwashed haters will celebrate his passing without ever realizing how much of an amazing artist he is.
by then the music will probably be too outdated and people who look back will see the more influential people kanye took ideas from to inspire himself
I wouldn't say brainwashed. People have different opinions, that's all it is.

What if Kanye really is the greatest artist of our time? Bold statement. But what if? And what if we don’t realize it until he’s gone?
He dropped the album of the Decade in the beginning of the decade and it still can't be matched he definitely has a case.
He definitely is. I've known this for years. It's sad that alot people don't give him enough credit. When he passes, the world will then realize what it lost
He is; he has the best discography, is probably the most influential and the most creative
The destiny of many greats unfortunately
Kanye west or the weekend listen his early albums to latest by far bestest
I really don't get why Kanye isn't in discussions as one of the best artists of our generation. His music goes so far past the rap genre.
Because he has an ego, raps, and is always shown negatively in the media so that apparently means he makes bad music.
+Based because hes a "producer rapper" and cant be considered a real lyricist, according to billboard. Those guys are fucking idiots
+Based he is, though.
+Hannes Samuelsson He really isn't as the people above said hes shadowed by his attitude & is misunderstood. People will praise him when hes dead
Based anyone big into hip-hop will say kanye is one of the greats, though. he is also incredably critically acclaimed.
i hope you're okay ye

Poor guy is struggling these days. But I totally ignored Kanye until watched Netflix documentary. Just catching up.
this track is one of the most brilliant pieces of music ive ever heard
I remember almost bursting into tears the first time I heard that female choir come in at 2:18ish mark. I've been following Ye's career since before The College Dropout came out and I felt so proud of him, as a fan. The composition on this is just incredible.
Best part of the song !!!!
the more i listen to this album, the better it gets, and this track is no exception.
The only album I can call perfect. Usually there are bad tracks in good albums but not this one.
I've always said that this album is my favorite of all time.
Nah I wouldn't say it didn't have its bad tracks. So Appalled was pretty terrible IMO. But Dark fantasy, Gorgeous, Power, All of the Lights, this, and Blame Game make up for it.
Lunatic Prodigy so appalled was excellent imo
A lot of people like that song. I never saw the appeal of it. I just hated the hook.
Absolutely Kanye's most underrated work, regardless of views. I mean 13.4 milions is a lot, but i still feel like i'm a member of an exclusive club where people appreciate this masterpiece.

How about Bon iver the one who wrote the chorus in 2010
I have enjoyed Bon Iver for a while, and yes the chorus is definitely great by itself. I am not trying to downplay Bon Iver by any means. I am just enjoying that Kanye West was able to recognize the track for what it was and put a great spin on it.
He's still a complete asshole but I agree he is a good artist who won't be appreciated as much until the future.

People like to hate on Kanye because of some poor actions he made in the eye of the media, while not realizing his unbelievable musical talent, they hate him just because it's cool to hate him, he's one of the best musical producers and rappers of our time, and fuck any hater, I'll always stay repping Yeezy.
He even said: "Everyone makes mistakes, i just make em in public"
I've never seen this put so perfectly. I agree 100%. I hope one day the world will learn to appreciate him for the genius he is
This is literally what I tell to every Kanye's "hater" I find... But unfortunately people focus on the life more than the work all this people make. Kanye is a truly special artist, with tons of talent, but people just cares about him for being Kim's "controversial" husband.

Try woods by Bon iver, it’s the original
I have a theory anytime someone posts multiple paragraphs on youtube comment section, they care way to much about the subject, and cant be objective!
Joe Petruzzi I have a hypothesis that the fact you chose to express your "theory" here indicates you are a hater.
Fuck you buddy - this should be put on wikipedia under "How to Rape a good song"
Stephanus Bekker god you're an idiot
Dion Santana ok
The way he flipped the lost in the woods sample. Oh my god. It gives this song a whole different vibe than the original. It gives a slight feeling of hope while the original is just straight hopelessness and being lost. This gives the feeling of being lost but wanting to be found and having hope

Us living as we do upside down.
And the new word to have is revolution.
People don't even want to hear the preacher spill or spiel because God's whole card has been thoroughly piqued.
And America is now blood and tears instead of milk and honey.
The youngsters who were programmed to continue fucking up woke up one night digging Paul Revere and Nat Turner as the good guys.
America stripped for bed and we had not all yet closed our eyes.
The signs of truth were tattooed across our open ended vagina.
We learned to our amazement the untold tale of scandal.
Two long centuries buried in the musty vault, hosed down daily with a gagging perfume.
America was a bastard, the illegitimate daughter of the mother country whose legs were then spread around the world and a rapist known as freedom, free doom.
Democracy, liberty, and justice were revolutionary code names that preceded the bubbling bubbling bubbling bubbling bubbling in the mother country's crotch
What does Webster say about soul?
All I want is a good home and a wife
And our children and some food to feed them every night.
After all is said and done build a new route to China if they'll have you.

London Pirtle lol it's a joke. Like "next time on " insert show here) ".
Yeezy season
our nature is divisive and we tend toward the destructive, tearing down and looking for reasons to do so. if i am persecuting you i don't look at my own issues and can leave them unaddressed which is less daunting. we want mercy for ourselves but reluctantly give it away. but i second what you said.
The man that transcended rap. He showed the world what potential the genre had.
The world ?! you mean white people ?

I find it kinda mandatory to mention this, the person who made this video, is one hell of an artist.
I was looking for a comment mentioning this.
for some reason, this song is better nowdays
+shoturhead true :)
because "music" now is pure Shit
Because it was ahead of its time, like everything Kanye does.
+Maddie djcRod
Fabio Yostar it’s because we are just now catching up to Kanye when he made this song in the present he is still years ahead of us like he says he is ten years in the future he has to slow down to process everything from the future to the present
i love bon iver
Roberto Sandoval so underrated
Roberto Sandoval I love them
I truly envy people who get to experience this song for the first time. I still get high from the euphoria of hearing it ten years later.
I still remember the leaked version with the radio tag.
good times
Funny as i’m high and discover this song for the first time w my headphones on and now am in love with it
just happened bro it was unbelievable
Just discovered it yesterday! Incredible!
This first listen dedicated to you, friend. Definitely feeling that euphoria high 😊
This song is so underrated, one of his best creations imo
Anyone that doesn't like Kanye West hasn't listened to this album. MBDTF as well as Late Registration are necessities for any and all hip-hop fans.
This album made me respect him as an artist and as a person. This album was beautiful, a total masterpiece, no kidding.
Very well said!! MBDTF and Late Registration are masterpieces...'Ye is a legend!
All his albums tell stories that mesh into a masterpiece... And then there's Watch the Throne
I like to think of Watch the Throne not as an anomaly amongst his discography, but rather as a victory lap celebrating the height of artistic achievement, passion, and emotion that went into MBDTF. Hence lyrics on Lift Off; "We gon’ take it to the moon, take it to the stars
How many people you know can take it this far?"
Kanye and Nas are my favorite hip-hop artists of all time.
The layers and the distorted bassline is sick. Love this song still 10 years after its release
man 3:10 when all those backing vocals come in brings tears to my eyes
Who's here in 2019? Kanye is the G.O.A.T
i don't listen to hip hop, but when i do...
Masterpiece!
I’m here
Haley Gore Kanye West is G.O.A.T
jesus is king lets goooo!!!
Sometimes i feel shame and regret about things i did or missed, And it's a heavy feeling.
And I listen to this song, and remember there is always a new start and a new chance for everyone.
Thanks Kanye :)
Love how he contradicts everything he says in the beging yet it still makes perfect sesnse and if u been in tge situation u know excatly what he means
Preach it XD
He's using a literary technique called Paradox.
Jumpshot7 The person who gives you the best times of your life, and the worst times of your life in the same person! Your my heaven, Your my Hell. My Relationship is just like this statement!
alot of hz material he contradicts....das y ppl think hes a hypocrite.....
when the media wants you to hate someone, that's when you should like them.
Visit his twitter acc. That will chaneg your mind. I agree that his music is good (especially the older songs) but as a person he is rubbish.
Anthrax62 I follow him and retweet him daily.
He's no different than lennon, and he gets worshiped.
+Spencer G lol John Lennon, Steve Jobs, Shakespeare, Thomas Eddison, Michael Jackson, Picasso were all cunts but no one even thinks about that anymore. Same will happen for Kanye. Shame he isnt appreciated while hes alive
DojoMuppet yup. Some of us appreciate him tho.
Spencer G a minority unfortunately
*Kanye's love poem to Kim K, that eventually turned into a song.*

Hunter Hannemann bruh the whole “you’re my heaven you’re my hell” part was a poem he wrote for Kim K

@@victoriagigena5009 huge bon Iver fan, but that's just not true
My Dark Twisted Fantasy (looking back on it) was easily his best album. With this song, Runaway, Hell of a Life, even Devil In A New Dress; Were all super good songs. The album truly expresses Ye’s song writing ability.
This song just make me appreciate life, it make me want to live life better.
The verse is so sweet. Describes when you love someone so much you don't even understand your own feelings and it hurts yet is bliss.
He said in an interview that he wrote this song for Kim when he was in love with her and she was in a relationship with other guys before they married.
@TyetheRebel what happppnnndddd
@TyetheRebel nah before when Kim was married to some baseball player and Kanye was with Amber Rose
the lyrics for the first verse, not the whole song
@@wumpus3719 he was a basketball player
Actually, he wrote a verse for her, most of the song is Justin vernons doing
I'm going to cherish this song for a lifetime. The lyrics will always find a way of drawing me back, no matter what. After all, "I'm lost in the world" feeling will always reappear.
Kanye and Justin Vernon need to do a collab album. The world will be better.

"Run from the lights, Run from the night, Run for your life" This is one of the best lyrics i have ever heard
HaxorSerialKiller you must not listen to a lot of music
+Stay Frosty Stay QUIET. Because that's not what that comment means. It means the lyrics have meaning to that person and you think you can judge someone's taste in music based off that statement? Your taste in music is remedial at best, since we're all critiquing each other with irrelevant comments such as yours.
Bruh????? No truer words have ever been spoken
Umm Kanye is my favorite artist, so don’t get the wrong idea when I tell you that that line in it of itself is not that impressive
You think it's about the satanic industry? Warning us?
For the longest time I secretly felt Kanye West is the shit.
All these comments from people who feel the same, is sublime
Kanye songs have got me through some rough times. And jammed with me during some good ones
You the man Mr. West
Ye is and will always be the shit
Kanye West + Bon Iver = GREATNESS.
‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’
An artistic masterpiece of an album that tells a story about the beauty and dangers of fame and love presented in amazing ways with extremely realistic musical elements with pianos and orchestral sounds, and amazing usage of sampling small elements of some know/unknown 1960’s, 1970’s & early 1980’s old school songs to make something completely original.
Never understood why people think the ending of runaway was good, i mean I get he's saying he is being drowned out but it gets boring
+123miscrits just because you don't like it doesn't mean others shouldn't

Mank 100% he listened to it wrong. To fully understand and appreciate Kanye’s albums I feel like u need to listen to each one at least 20 times. The first Kanye album u listen to can’t be JIK. That’s like starting a book on the last chapter.
Mank plus the album was terrible. It felt rushed and not taught out very well.
This song is a beautiful poem.
i never cry and i almost shed a tear listening to this - such a masterpiece. Kanye is a generational talent think about all he’s accomplished.
