I have so many videos to catch up on, I got blindsided a bit by life, I hope you have been well! I love hearing the bit historically about the waste book, I definitely have multiple journals where I scratch down thoughts and it is so hard to keep track of. I think I will have to try indexing 😊 🪶
Oh springtime is always so busy! I totally understand 😅 and yes…I also have 67 journals and can never find my quotes when I want them…so this is an attempt to make myself consolidate 🤓
It was for me at first too 😅 I’m looking forward to trying this system, so I’m more consistent with my independent study, because right now, it’s all over the place lol
🪶Brilliant! I’m going on a pnw forest walk later today to see if the Swainson’s Thrush is here yet (my favorite bird song) and am inspired to make a real working field journal using these methods!
I love nature in general but have this little bit extra interest in desert life, which I find crazy because I have a strong dislike for extreme heat. It is on my bucket list to explore the desert as much as possible in the next phase of my life.
Ooo that’s interesting! Explore the desert at night 😅 a lot of deserts get really cold at night! Or maybe explore them during winter months? Deserts are definitely fascinating! Do you know much about the grasshopper mouse? They are immune to scorpion stings and howl tiny howls after making a bug kill like wolves 🥰
@@darlingcottagediary yes cooler at night or in the winter sounds good to me! I don’t recall ever seeing anything about this grasshopper mouse despite all the countless documentaries I’ve watched but it sounds very intriguing. I must find out more about it!
Thank you so much 🥰 I’ll do an update video soon-I think it’ll help explain it better 😅 it doesn’t help my brain was all over the place doing the voiceover…I had a busy weekend
Thank you for sharing about commonplace journals, I’ve been meaning to start one for quite some time and this was just the inspiration I needed!! 😀📖🪶
My pleasure and omg SAME! I was like, I have to make a video about this, or I’ll never sit down and do it 😆 bon courage! 💖

🪶 topic is over my head, but will research and figure it out🥰

Oh that sounds amazing! I bet this would work really well for a nature field journal 🤩 hope you get a sighting 💚
🪶 going to have to read more about this. I have never indexed CPB's. Just notebooks filled with bits 🫣 of all ponderings/ideas/quotes.
I haven’t either! That’s why I want to start, because I want to have one central place I can actually find my notes 😅
✒️ not sure i understand the topic but i enjoyed watching the process!
I’ll do more to explain the actual contents later I guess-it’s hard to explain without concrete examples-but I’m glad you liked it anyway 😁

There’s a documentary called Hidden Kingdoms-it chronicles a couple of tiny creatures that are fascinating! Highly recommend
@@darlingcottagediary thank you. I will check that out!
