I really really enjoy all your videos. We were there for 10 days at the end of Aug. We were supposed to go Oct 17-26 but the hubby called me one day and surprised me with an earlier date. It was so last minute we didnt get our magic bands until we got to the hotel lol. It was also my babys 1st time in Disney at 11 months old. I have an 8 year old too. Special moments in such a weird and scary time. .The only bad thing was having to come home and quarantine as I'm from Buff NY. My family and I love you guys, we've been watchin you and Joe for many years!!
Thai was such a nice video, Ashley. I'm sorry you lost so much on your phone. I like that these videos seem almost more personal when you talking to us on camera about how your feeling and also when future Ashley comes in to add comments as the video plays. The lessons I've learned are to make lists of things I need because I tend to forget important things and then feel bad about it and also, I've learned the same lesson with backing up my phone/ hard drives/ computer.
This may not be a Disney content channel but the point of the video is this: Tho you may end up losing some memories thru no fault of your own, remain positive and work to create new memories. Making lemonade from lemons. Which really is the point of this channel I feel. This channel is a day in the life kinda thing. The struggles of life are real and you show that it is possible to remain positive thru all of it. I'm about to be a first time dad and any videos you can make with suggestions on being a parent or your personal recommendations on baby products would be greatly appreciated. I haven't watched any Disney vlogs in a long time because we've canceled two of our own trips this year and I was sad but seeing your adorable family, this brought a smile to my face the whole time! Although, I am very sorry to hear about your phone issues. That's so frustrating. Your boys were very good and so fun to watch them enjoy the park!
I was sitting in almost the exact same spot as you, when on the almost last night of our honeymoon, we discovered my phone had been immersed in soda from our rapid fill cups 😭 We had stored the almost full rapid fill cups in a bag with my phone while we rode space mountain (not my brightest move 🙈). Once the discovery was made, I burst into tears. All of our honeymoon pictures, all of my wedding preparation pictures and all of our pictures from our time dating and from the day of our engagement were on that phone. My heart crumbled, all those memories!! Sadly even after a very long rice bath, my phone never recovered. I'm still insanely grateful that we were able to spend our honeymoon at our favorite place on earth, and have absolutely beautiful photos of our wedding that others had taken. So all is not lost. When my hubby and I talk about it now we say that our honeymoon was meant to be our special memories, and weren't meant to be shared with anyone else, so that in itself is beautiful to me. But I feel your heartache!! Lost photos and videos are the loss of something absolutely precious.
That happened to my 20 year old son who lost 5 years of photos. He thought everything had been backing up to the cloud but it hadn't. I was sick to my stomach for him, he was so devastated. We definitely feel your pain.....Sorry! 💗
When we went to MK in December last year my anxiety got bad and I ended up going to the first aid center and it was a really nice experience for me. They gave me a cool damp paper towel to cool me down since it was a great 80 degree Florida winter day. I did not feel judged by any of the staff and they let me stay as long as I needed and checked in on me every 10-15 minutes to make sure I was doing fine. I highly recommend if you need to take a break from all of the sensory overload that is MK. Oh, also they were able to turn the lights off above my "cubical" so it was dim lighting which was more relaxing.
First of all your kids are adorable! And second, I had the same phone troubles when my daughter was a year old and lost all of the photos and video from her first year, except for the few I took with the video camera and the ones I had uploaded to Facebook. 8 years later it still stings a bit to think of those moments lost, but the time goes so fast and even a year lost seems like a blink in the grand scheme of things.
These are a bit of small road trips, but maybe go see Winter the dolphin in Clearwater, or visit the space coast at Cocoa Beach. There are lots of botanical gardens around too. I’m enjoying seeing y’all make wonderful memories with this awesome adventure you’re on!
I never heard of the special photographer option. Hopefully it is an option for our visit next year. Yes, I agree the Photographer has a special vest. By the way, the windows that are open have speakers in them when a parade is near and when it goes away...window goes down. Disney magic!
I think Lee would enjoy the crayola experience in the Mall. My daughter wants to go there so bad so I told her if she reads 200 chapters then we would take her. Also planning to go to Disney too but she doesn’t know that! She is on 46/200 so still a ways to go!
I understand you being upset about your memories on your phone. I almost lost my phone the last time we went to Disney, and I was so sad because I thought all my pictures and videos were gone. Thankfully, a cast member found my phone, but now I have everything backed up to iCloud. We pay extra for it, but it is worth it knowing all the pictures/videos we are taking of our daughter will not be lost. iCloud backs up automatically. Glad you three had a fun day of Magic Kingdom, and Lee's picture of Oogie Boogie was great even if blurry :). Thanks for sharing your adventures xo.

In 2017, I had ALL of our family pictures and video that we had taken since 2003 on ONE external hard drive. I dropped it. We had to send it away to be repaired, and THANKFULLY they were able to save most of the files. It cost me $2000!!!!!!! So. Yes.....make backups. :-)

One important mistake that I have learned from is to not give up immediately from something that may be too hard to accomplish because it is always worth it in the long run
I would love to see some of your house there in Florida or maybe your favorite aspect of where you are living! I can only imagine what it would be like to uproot and move elsewhere. Therefore, I would completely understand if you didn't feel your house was "camera-ready" although, I wouldn't judge you for disorganization ;-) Just an idea, but I enjoy any content you come up with!!

We had a photographer, his assistant (helped with holding external flashes, sun shield etc) and at one point even a third one

I've lost pics & video & its devastating. As I've gotten older, I make myself NOT video or take pics & just enjoy & be in the moment which is REALLY hard for me!😄

Lee would probably love to see Sea World given his enjoyment for animals. With the current situation they should have affordable options for that.

We did the 20 min photo shoot in mk.It was amazing,we had them taken in an empty railroad station,its a beautiful building .Well worth the money.
