You have got MAD pottery skills. I find it hard to close and item, you kill me making it look so easy.... I made pumpkins last year... They turned out .... OK. Thanks for taking the time to make and post these videos and sharing with all of us amateurs. YES, it looks like a GREAT APPLE!.
I find that you need to leave more clay than you think above where you close it in, and don't make it too thin as it can go wobbly. That's what I do. Cheers, Dan.

Would cut the top full circle to turn it into a lid? I have seen lids being created by completely closing the top, using tool similar to a flat screwdriver to create an indentation then cutting it. If possible, I would like to see how would you pursue it. As always, it's a treat to watch you. K

By the way this could be a tomato too if it had the leafs on the top but it does in some way resemble and apple probably should've added a leaf on the stem but hey i like it!!
I have two apples and two pears that look exactly like this one. Only difference, someone used metal stems on them. Painted with earth tone folk art types colors and wiped with a light stain to give an antique look.

My favorite part is when he plops the clay down in the beginning and then slaps it😂 idk why but it’s satisfying when it seems so heavy and it moves easily 😂 idk if that made sense😂
