How to throw / make a Pottery Casserole & lid on the wheel

- Throwing a quite simple shallow lidded Casserole dish on the wheel.
This one is a simple shallow pot with straight sides and a gallery added on the rim to take the lid, no really difficult techniques involved but the end result is quite nice.
The lid is made by throwing a shallow plate and then trimming it upside down to get the profile.
Add a knob to the lid by throwing another small piece of clay to the top.
Two small handles added to the side.
Simple Cobalt Slip decoration is added in small bands to the pot.
Due to these videos, i think im going to start pottery as a little hobby. These videos are so interesting and i love pottery.
ME TOO *high fives*

I’m on day two of teaching myself how to throw with the goal of making a perfect low wide bowl immediately. Obviously isn’t working out but watching this person make a bowl way better than my hours of work in 2.5 seconds is hilarious.
When I get my wheel I am going to make pots just like you. Love it.
pottery looks in many ways quite simmilar to glassworking and improving. My Grandmother comes from Adendorf in germany. This village is known for its blue coloured clay. pottery looks very interesting for me, so thank you for your videos, so i can look some deeper in this workshop
thank you for showing us, I really enjoyed watching you . have a great day.
Honestly, I can't stop watching your videos of pottery! It's just too satisfying. I'd like to work at making pottery when I am older! I'm defiantly blown away.
I'm a beginner at this and I love seeing more experienced artists because its so inspiring! I hope to be as half as good as you one day!

Wow!!..I did pottery in school but this just really makes me want to learn it all over again...loved it!!♥
I think everyone would like to see the finished item: when it's been fired. Thank you for letting us know how much clay you used for the casserole base. I for one would love some more information about the clay etc. Could you perhaps include more details? But thank you so much for your inspiring, mesmerising films.
Ima say its probably stone ware since thats most commonly used for cooking wares and dishes

Recently I've been finding myself lost in the art part of RUclips. I've lost hours watching sculptors, glass blowers, costume makers, and yes, pottery videos. To be honest, I want none of those hours back
