I know how you feel, bro. I don't have a car and I commute everyday on my bike. Only when I have these periods of geniusness that I get excited. Luckily, my girl provides lots of ideas too and that makes me want to ride. Aside from that, lane splitting on the 101, the 5 and the 405 really wear me out since I'm in a constant state of anxiety. 😓

One can get all the items from lightwire suppliers a lot cheaper, I found one in UK and they have so many more options than lightmode offer. I'm going to power mine from my bikes 12v system so I don't have battery packs and switches on helmet. I'll also install a switch so I don't drain the battery when bike is out of use for long periods. I'll use a strong clear 3m tape to fix the wire to my expensive helmet so I can remove the wire and put it on a new helmet if or when I want.
Holy shit !... when the video hits the section where the music comes on, the volume is not proportional to the earlier voice over... So goddamn loud... that's what I get for hooking up the computer to the TV audio...

Do a search online. You can buy electroluminescent wire, EL tape and the drivers/inverters separately for much cheaper online. They are just packaging it in a kit with some string and some glue for quite a bit more. You can also by inverters that you wire right into the bike so you don't have to mess with batteries and worry about run times.

Was going to point out that blue lights and the fact that they flash on an off rapidly aren’t legal in some states, such as mine, but the fact that it’s a turquoise, cyan, teal lookin color... it may just he legal! :O
i think if the battery was smaller and there was a better way to hold them down so you dont see the little globs of glue under them i would like it more. cool idea though and definitely ads a level of safety and coolness if you dont have high viz stuff on the back of your helmet.

after awhile the colour fades and burnout if you live in a hot country like i do the sun fades the crap out of it so really you need 2 helmets a day helmet and a night helmet to attach the lightmode to it.
If you guys are handy with a soldering iron just get some el wire or el tape and a battery pack and switch you can build this your self, I bet with a lithium ion battery you could hide the batteries a bit better to

Update: battery pack is now smaller, usb rechargeable, and detachable. Also, you can just peel/stick the lights on, no more glue. ✌

This helmet is great it's supposedly long oval but I have an intermediate oval head and it's just fine so keep that in mind .
