I would definitely contact the seller. I wouldn’t necessarily have any expectations but I would hope they would be willing to try to make that right in some way. Of course, I would try to treat the plants and also isolate them. If they’re a good business they will try their best to offer some sort of solution. Even if it’s a partial refund seeing how the plants are still viable. If the shop doesn’t work with you, I would document the plants journey over the next several months just in case they continue to decline and reach back out to the shop. Honestly, after saying all of this, I guess I would have some expectations lol. I would expect them to be apologetic and offer at least a partial refund if not entire refund. Good luck with everything ! 🥰
It is the worst! I have had to treat half of my collection since unboxing those plants I don’t know if it is from them but the timing is definitely suspicious 🫣
Ooo those are gorgeous! That Watsoniana has Cuprea looking backs ❤❤ Speaking of season of spider mites… sigh… here too, sucks, think I found thrips too… here come the very dry hands from treating plants! Maybe I’ll use gloves this time lol I’ve got a sulphur solution… A couple of my philodendrons have yellow dots, I’ve researched and asked experts, no idea, I’ve treated for bacterial and fungal issues but it shows up on unfurling leaves 🤷♀️ I’ve just accepted it now What’s your fav thrip killer?
I find that juvenile thrips can make that damage on philodendrons. But they usually very noticeable. I use multisect from KB it is the harsh systemic stuff but it really works. 1 round usually does the trick👌🏼💚
Excuse my language but I friggin DESPISE thripssssssssssssssss with an intense burning 🔥 passion…. You handled it so well. You were so calm. I would have been livid. Video would have ended. lol 😂 Awesome video. I ❤ unboxing videos. I used to think it was dumb that kids watch other kids open toys….until I saw my 1st plant unboxing video. Then I was like… okay I get it now. lol 😂 Updates please
Me too! I was dying inside and it only really hit me a few hours later, I just wanted to save and treat them asap. Haha same! It is so satisfying. Yes I will be updating soon 😁💚
That “damage” isn’t from thrips. It happens to Aurea variegation although not sure exactly why. Some people say it has to do with watering, others humidity.
@@myjunglestory I ordered begonias and hoyas from them. The hoyas are not decent sized to the pot size they mention. And begonias are not hydrated and I basically got mud with melted tiny portion of begonia leaf.
I'm not sure I would expect a full refund but I would sure expect something. That is endangering your other plants. They should inspect their plants better. Some of us don't want pests even if it is "the season"
Agree 100% specially for being a small business, I would be checking everything. It’s no excuse that it’s the season, I just didn’t want to bad mouth them too much 🫣😂
No I didn’t actually. I should have because when I ordered it said the picture is true to what your going to get and a few days later I looked again and they took that description of the website 😳 should have taken a screenshot.
You made such a good choice repotting those immediately! You had to! I'm so glad you found corms and I pray they're successful 🙏💕
Yes I wasn’t taking any chances 🫣 me too! Will be giving updates as soon as something happens 😁💚

Ja looking back I don’t expect a full refund or a new plant. But maybe 50% back on that plant 🤞🏼 so far they are slow to reply. But I’ll update soon
Oh my gosh I am so sorry this happened!!! That is every plant owners nightmare! I sure hope that those thrips do not get on your current plants!

@@myjunglestory I just will never understand how these bugs get on these plants indoors! 😑
Happy unboxing 😊
Wasn’t so happy with the end result 🫣

Such a bummer.. You'll have to do repeated treatments as thrips will lay eggs in the leaf tissue as well. BTW, always enjoy your videos. 🙂
Yes the treatment I use works for 3 weeks so will be checking them then 🤞🏼 thank you I appreciate it 💚🌿
Brown spots on Hoya leaves normally indicates inconsistent watering. My Obovata is the worst for showing them.
It was very dry 🫣
Ooooo. I need some of those stake holdy upy thingys.
Temu! I like that they clear. Doesn’t stick out so much

What a nightmare! I’m sorry that happened! Isolate for sure.
Ive put them in a propagation bin because I don’t have a separate room to keep them in… that don’t have plants in I mean 😂

It’s my first aurea variegated plant so I’ll be doing a lot of learning with this one. Hopefully it doesn’t happen to all the leaves 🤞🏼
If it is from the grow j*****e, they do not have great shipping. I often get dehydrated dried plants from them.
Oh no now I don’t know if I’ll order from them again 😬

@@Plantlover143 NO! That’s so bad! I hope you got something back.
Macrophyla is now Latifolia. I don’t know what it is with Hoya naming, but they change all the time. It’s annoying.
It is annoying! I’ll never be understand it 😂
How do you treat thrips?
I use multisect from KB it is a systemic product but so far its the only one that works 👌🏼
you really want to get a bag of akadama :) my clarinervium just sent out 2 huge! leaves and hasnt lost any :)
I find it’s not easy to get here in Belgium. Stratum has also proven to be magic 😍 so far 🤞🏼
I'm so sorry! That is terrible! :(

So curious what the seller said back! Did you inquire why the hoya only had one leaf? I hope so!

Check the other plants
Can’t see anything on the others but I’ve treated them anyway to be sure 🤞🏼
🌿💜👍💜👍🐨🇦🇺
I would expect a refund
So frustrating!
