Ctrl + shift + alt + J, I was looking for this forever, and for whatever reason search engines just don't understand what you're after when you try to describe it. Thanks.
alt + Enter fix the error or warning ctr + D duplication lines ctr + shift + arrowUp/arrowDown move up or down highlighted region ctr + X cut out a line ctr + / comment out something ctr + B jump to that class declaration shift + shift search menu ( u can search for shortcuts here ) ctr + backspace backspace a whole word ctr + shift + alt + J edits all the same names in file shift + F6 refactor all names
I'm having troubles with adding/inserting new lines with that moves all other code below a line down. Also is it normal that instead of automatically moving the code it just automatically replaces it. It's super enoying and counterproductive. No such bullshit in VScode.
Use Alt+Shift+F10 to go through your run configurations. I think there is no shortcut to open new files in Pycharm, but Shift + shift might work to search for files in your project and open them.
Can you please tell me how can we run multiple scripts simultaneously. Ex.I have to run prg1.py and prg.2 at same time. Both files located in the same project.
Not sure if that's what you're asking for but you can run both scripts simultaneously (but also independently) in two different python consoles: select all code and hit Shift+Alt+E, open a new console (plus sign somewhere to the left of the current console) and then repeat the process with the code of the other script. In a similar fashion you should also be able to run two scripts from terminals or through the run configurations that PyCharm offers.
Quick Note 5:45 you could get the same effect holding on mouse middle button and dragging.
Thanks, was looking for this feature in pycharm
You can also ALT + LeftMouseClick in different locations.
Love your efficient way to start the video
Thanks Felix. The CTRL + Backspace function that I just learned from you now 😂 and I used windows for two decades now
"The shortcut I was searching for, I finally got it. Thank you very much."
Oh my goodney, I think I started drooling when I saw alt, shift, ctrl J. With a couple of them actually.
So helpful, thank you so much!
One small mistake, at the end you correctly say control E in the vid but your on screen text says alt E. Not big deal though.
god tier shortcuts:
ctr + backspace
ctr + /
alt + enter
ctr + B
ctr + J
shift shift
Ctrl + shift + alt + J, I was looking for this forever, and for whatever reason search engines just don't understand what you're after when you try to describe it. Thanks.
Multiple cursor one was crazy, I always wondered how people edit multiple lines at once in tutorials
came here to find, found, happy, continue

very effective video, it makes pycharm enjoyable.
I also recently found ctrl + backspace/delete along with ctrl + arrow key similarly to you. haha they really are great additions to text editing.
You can also use ctrl + shift + arrow to highlight
fun fact if you wanna do this in the Linux terminal press esc ones or hold alt and backspace for word by word deletion.
8:09 Idk if anybody noticed but the title page says CTRL + E but in the actual video it says ALT + E
wow this is a good one

How to open new file with shortcut and also how to run the program using shortcut key Plz help
Use Alt+Shift+F10 to go through your run configurations.
I think there is no shortcut to open new files in Pycharm, but Shift + shift might work to search for files in your project and open them.
Ya alt + shift+f10 works only when I'll have to go through run configuration .

Anyone watching and have problem with the quick fix - Alt+Enter does not work. Does not suggest to import if something is missing. PyCharm 2023.3.3
Ctrl +E not Alt + E which shown finally

lol I mean. Alt enter has worked since computers were discovered by humans. That’s not a PyC thing.
Thanks mate 🫶👍🏼
