  • As I said, this was the most requested video from the last 2 GT350 videos. I hope this video helped give you an idea on the current Shelby GT350 market. Again, I just want to stress that this video was not supposed to be a bunch of narcissistic B.S. I'm simply answering what was asked and addressing a few pessimistic comments. (I bought this car with MY OWN drug money thank you very much) Thanks to all who have supported me in this purchase! I can't wait to make more videos with this beast!

1K to 2K over sticker on a limited edition American flat plane crank car is 100% reasonable. Unreasonable is people paying 1K for an Iphone

It took me visiting my Ford dealer a few times over a month or so to get my GT350 $2000 below MSRP. I used the same strategy which was using the National average pricing to get the car at the price that I got it for. The general manager said, I cant believe that I'm selling a Shelby below MSRP.

I'm 20 years old and purchased a 2017 gt and will be upgrading to the 350 within the next couple years. Did mom and dad pay for it? Yes they are technically buying it for me as a graduation gift. Could I buy it myself out right? Yes. The difference to upgrade to the 350 is on me though. The reason they offered is because they want me to save my money and grow it. Do i still live with my parents? Of course its so economcially efficient for me and the money you save is amazing! I do pay a minimal rent though just to help out lol. Here's the thing if your mom and dad are kicking you out at 18 and telling you to go take out loans and get into debt they're stupid af. Parents should be teaching you to invest and save your money. You may ask how could I be able to afford a gt rn? Well I also am a real estate agent, I invest, and I am majoring in accounting and completing a paid accounting internship at the Polar Beverages Corporation. So even if my parents didn't offer to pay for my gt I could still afford it lol. You bashers spend more time complaining about how broke you are than you spend working lmao. That's why you'll never succeed!

Good video. Good stuff. It's 8 months after your purchase/video, I just picked up a 2016 GT350 with Track Package, 12.3 miles on it, all window stickers still on the car, for $53,977. Technically a used car but was obviously purchased by someone who just put it away, thinking it was going to appreciate or something, and as far as I'm concerned, is a brand new car. Car cover and manuals weren't even opened. Color is the deep impact blue metallic with white stripes, the classic Shelby blue and white, I believe. I feel I lucked out finding this thing, $2k below NADA and basically a brand new car. I almost bought a slightly used R but just couldn't stomach the markups on them. Plenty of dealers still have markups on the non-R's too, crazy at this point, especially with the GT500's due out next year.
Have watched a few of your videos and enjoy them. Thanks for posting!

Enjoy the car man! I recently graduated from college and I bought myself a 2017 Black Mustang performance + premium package 5.0. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I grew up loving cars especially the mustang! I always dreamed of having my own!
I love the car I love driving it, and you never know when you’ll be gone tomorrow. So live life have fun and as cliche as it is... no regrets :)
P.S. I’m hoping to have a GT350 or GT500 or a 68 fast back in the future. I’m dreaming of rolling like you one day!

I am considering buying a GT350. Appreciate your honesty. Most people are blowing smoke with the "Paid $5K under invoice crap" Hoping to land mine for MSRP.

This video popped up, so I thought I would watch. Interesting how you just wanted to go see one. That is what happened to me as well when I bought mine. There was a pre-owned 2016 last year that I went to look at one Saturday afternoon when bored just to see what it was all about. It was avalanche grey with blue stripes. They let me drive it...and I bought it. Had no intention at the time, but they made me too good a deal. And...as impulsively as I bought it, I sold it earlier this year. Regret it some days, but that is life. Great cars...enjoy the videos!

Exactly, I was watching a few GT350 videos online and had an interest in one. But one day I literally had nothing to do and looked to see if a local dealer had one just to sit inside, that was it. I saw one dealer had a white one (not that I cared what color it was since I just wanted to sit in it) and low and behold this exact lighting blue GT350 was there and could not be unseen haha

I deliver parts for these to the plant where they are built. I like the red with the black stripes and white pinstripes.
But, as much as I love these, It's a Ford. I have the very first Funkmaster Flex Edition Expedition (#000). I love it, but its been a real headache. A/compressor quit, the engine died at 129,000 miles so I had to replace that, its had brake issues, the exhaust was hanging crooked, 6 disc CD changer doesnt work.... I probably wont buy another Ford, but I wont get rid of my Expedition either. It is a great SUV when it does run. Lol.

Congrats on the buy!! Love the GT350's. I've owned 11 Mustangs ranging from a 1970 Boss 302 (which was a crazy lucky deal) to a 2004 GT over the past 25 years. Buy that stuff while your young and single, married with kids cuts big into the fun money.
Good for you for buying the car, have fun with it and drive it hell out of it!!

Well-done video. You were to the point without too many details and it's good that you explain the financials too many people just don't understand that part. Yes you may have rambled a bit but if you could help people understand the financial part of purchasing an expensive car in a way that they understand and what's best so they don't bury themselves and that it's a good thing..

Good for you getting a car you love! I bought a 2017 Mustang the day before I graduated college and all my friends were surprised and gave me shit saying my parents must have bought it for me, but no, I had simply worked 20 hrs a week or more since highschool and invested the money I earned. The 10k I saved up over 7 years was worth over 25k by the time I was graduating and I financed the car since 3% interest on the loan amount is far less than the 9% avg annual return my investments make. But yeah any time you're young and buy a brand new car even if it's not a 60k car people assume your parents bought it because most people don't know how to save / invest for the future. Set specific goals and it's much easier to meet them than you may expect.

  • @Djtonydraper

Very nice. Congrats on your purchase. Buying it out-right was a very smart thing to do. I did the same with my 2017-GT350 two months ago. Unfortunately I paid $7500 over MSRP but to be honest I really didn't give a shit. The Dealer wanted $10k over so haggling a little made me feel a little better about the price. I wanted the car & that was that. You got a great price of $67k total. Mine was more like $72. In the end who cares. The car is now yours so enjoy the Fuck out of it.

The value of financing at 2% is that you take money you would have spent and invest it. Most investments are returning a much higher rate of return.

When news about specs. of the 2018 GT hit the air, prices of the Pre-owned GT 350's took a big dive. Great, it makes my dream of owning one a little bit more possible, but I would compare them in person to make sure it's what I want, not just follow the crowd.

If you buy a run of the mill Chevy traverse, or any other grocery getter, you can ussually buy them for thousands under msrp, but if you buy something of good quality, you pay msrp, or slightly less, if you buy a rare great car, expect to pay more than msrp.
