*REMEMBER TO ALWAYS DUEL WITH HONOR, NOT DRUGS!*
Alr I’ll use drugs!!!!
Ok but kaiba was definitely high throughout the entire show
We all know Dan Green was smokin fat doinks before recording sessions 😂😂😂😂
I activate my spell card, Pot of Green!
You guys need to see crown corp and what he is doing with YuGiOh
Yugi : "Don't do drugs kid"
Also Yugi : *Activates POT of Greed
Also Yugi: *Explains what it does every time*
No wonder the Pot of Greed looks stoned
LOL
More like, Pot of WEED.
@@Lunatic89097 I'm still waiting for Konami to release Pot of Weed.
"It's time to duel!" He said, revealing he already had Exodia in his hand, instantly winning the duel
I missed exodia in the show like he was at the end of the intro in the back like he'd show up again
so tru
"With everything you need to duel"
"Trading Cards not included"
lol
Best comment ever 😂😂
HAHAHAHAHA I always hated that part of that commercial. Already contradicting itself
Thats actually the only thing you need to duel x'D
thats like a pokemon game that didint come with the cartridge.
Knowing Yugi I am pretty sure he would challenge drugs to a duel and when he won he would banish then to the shadow realm
knowing yugi,he'd find the biggest drug dealer in town, challenge him to a weird game and then punish him when he loses by making him suffer the effects of his entire supply all at once and/or make him experience all the effects that his drugs have had on the people/families that he ruined with them.
@@JT5555 Season 0 Yugi is best Yugi.
I think you mean the Purple Realm 😏
tbf, that would probably have worked better than the actual war on drugs
isnt the shadow realm for drugs just Harlem?
Say no to drugs and yes to card games on motorcycles
But what about card games on motorcycles while on drugs?

card games on motorcycles is something someone on drugs would do. Meth heads in particular.
Atem even years later telling me not to do the forbidden substances has stuck with me
Atem was the like the first Straight Edge anime character. 😂
@@professional.commentator i mean...letter on he was. he was a flat out psychopath in the original manga/toei anime and even in the series we know,he DID almost kill kaiba to win a card game. point is,atem's morals have always been good natured but questionable and it's not until little yugi teaches him about friendship and not murdering people that he becomes a lot more straight edged.
@@JT5555 I don't think you know what Straight Edge means or you're probably thinking of something else. Straight Edge is/was a punk/street gang that beat up people that smoked, drank, did drugs, or had casual sex. They were basically, maybe still are, hippie Puritans.
Nice!

90s and early 2000s were THE good ol’ days. Remember waking up early Saturday mornings for an all morning Kids WB session? Cereal in hand 👌
Lucky charms Cocoa puffs and Fruit Loops good times.
@@cryptojonny6837 Honey nut cheerios and Fruit loops.
Golden crisps here haha but I agree with Lucky charms no doubt
My family would ALMOST ALWAYS want to leave the house by like 11. So I’d miss the new Yugioh or Pokémon that would be on like 11:30.
Theyd never leave me at the house alone at that age (9-10)
But I think they ran reruns weekdays after school so we were good haha.
i remember watching the season 3 virtual world episodes on there, distinctly remember yugi dueling noah.
Remember those old Kids WB promos that had all the cartoon characters interacting with each other? Felt so surreal seeing Ash Ketchum and Batman next to each other.
Good ole days
I remember a lot of the Kids Wb promos like the one where some of the characters are in the hospital with some kind of Pokémon sickness and at the end of it Daffy ends up as a Psyduck.
Remember when they sang the National Anthem?
Those were amazing.
@@bloodycinephile4kids luffy singing the national anthem
Yami: don't do drugs and dishonor yourself

Oh Atem, like the Egyptian God, Atem. I like that
@@kaylaa2204 probably more like ya know, the pharaoh, Yami aka Atem
@@Silentgunner555 Yami isn’t his name it’s just a descriptor. When I found out the English version didn’t treat it that way I was so confused
If anything that should be translated as Shadow Yugi
The show refers to the spirit inside the Ring as Yami Bakura, so that’s really weird that sometimes the Pharaoh is called Yami
@@Silentgunner555 anyway that still stands. Historically the pharaohs of Egypt claimed to be stand ins for Ra himself. So a Pharaoh referring to themselves as a stand in for Atem isn’t a crazy concept

In the US, Fall 2005 - Spring 2006 was great because for some weeks, there was a new episode of Yu-Gi-Oh SIX days a week! Monday - Friday, a new episode of GX would premiere on Cartoon Network and then on Saturday, a new episode of YGO season 5 would air on Kids WB (can’t remember if they were CW yet). I actually had the Gate Guardian figure while my mom was questioning why is there a weird looking face at the crotch
Same had gate guardian and blue eyes
Yugi be like: "I can't cheat at Duel Monsters, if I'm always high on the Marijuanas."
Just keep in mind

@@unoreversecard1997 Pot ain't a drug man, it's an herb. Yugi, Joey, and Kaiba definitely rotate a blunt.
@@tylerisadumb Drug noun
\ ˈdrəg \
plural drugs
Definition: a medicine or other substance which has a physiological effect when ingested or otherwise introduced into the body.
@@MrAlexarctica I mean, obviously weed is a drug. But also that definition makes any non-inert substance you ingest a drug.
Hamburger? A drug. Water? A drug. Air? A drug. All of those things cause physiological changes in your body, none of them are drugs.
Oh, but what if we say _psychological_ changes instead of physiological? Well then we've successfully knocked "air" off the list, but that's it. Because eating and drinking _anything_ causes a release of dopamine which is a mood altering chemical in the brain.
So maybe pedantry over what is and isn't a drug isn't very useful to anyone? Maybe we should be concerned with whether or not a substance causes harm, instead of whether or not it meets the dictionary definition of something we've been told is naughty?
"Yugioh is basically cardboard crack" Cimooooo 2020
1 of my best friends been saying that since we became friends a decade ago.
KidsWB and 4Kids were the kings of weird commercials during the late 90's and early 2000's. I remember a Pokemon advert that had Batman and Joker in it.
I was actually recommended a lot of old Yu-gi-oh commercials (half were ones like these and the other half were just time slot announcements for KidsWB, CW, etc) a couple of weeks ago just like these. They usually only have a couple thousand views but there are surprisingly a lot of them out there.
“honor” “to protect and maintain” don’t do pot (of greed)
Ahh, I remember having the model kit of the Winged Dragon of Ra! I also had a Thousand-Eyes Restrict toy that made a whooshing noise when you pressed a button on its head. Eyes Restrict are still a favorite archetype of mine-I'd love to own that toy again.
Man I'm bummed you didn't watch the commercial for Launcher Spider. Dead as they had a whole ass commercial for a level 7 normal monster that wasn't even as strong as Dark Magician but that commercial was so fire I fw that car so much when I was in 4th grade and I even still have my original print of that card.
they need to watch the Launcher Spider video for the next video
You brought that back in my head damn.
Used to have that toy was cool shoot missiles out of the launcher
Really looks like they got more than enough material for a sequel to this video
I remember that one and even asked for it as a Christmas present.
As a wise man once said:
Don't do drugs, smell yugioh cards
Literally Sam 😂
You say you never saw them.... but let's not forget that you were a kid.... there is probably a ton of stuff you forgot and don't realize it...
Sam’s anti drug is smelling yugioh cards😂😂
Them cards do be smelling good tho!
Yugi: I duel with honor, that's why I never do drugs, it's for my friends.
Mario: If you smoke, you'll go to hell.
Man some of these are a huge blast from the past. I don't remember seeing the model kit commercials but one of my friends had the models for Ra and Gate Guardian
A Yugioh Commercial is The Masterpiece
I had a duel disk back in the early 2000’s. It was really awesome not having to be playing my cards on the rough, dirty cement of our sidewalk, as me and my friends always played outside. 😂
I had the Red eyes black metal model, It's made of very cheap plastic. I still have the head lol
I had the sky dragon model when I was 15 it was very heavy for its size
No wonder Yami Yugi always won. He was actually *cracked*
best drug in yugioh:
friendship
Damn Tea, didn't know you watched this channel
To quote Mai, miss me with that friendship shit
What about card games on motorcycles
I remember owning a Dark Magician action figure made by mattel as a kid. He had a button on the back so you could wave his staff for his attack. Idk if there was a commercial for it or not. I might still have it buried somewhere at my parents house.
Fun Fact: Toy R Us is still open in NJ
Nice
and all of canada: i got me a baroness and a evil-lyn there just yesterday.
@@JT5555 nice. :D
As I've been rewatching the original series, it feels like being teleported back in time. It's almost like I can remember exactly where I was, which room of the house I was in, which friends of mine were with me, which friends of mine I talked about the show with, the smell of the bed or couch I watched the show on, etc., with each individual episode.
Like the dungeon dice monsters episodes. I remember my friends and I made a board game based on that arc while it was airing... can literally see all the shitty drawings we had made for our cards.
Toyz R us is still open in South Africa. We literally still have mega stores that have been at the same location for 30 years. We even have Babies R us now
Damn I feel old lol felt like a kid again
6:10 HOLY SHIT!!! I completely forgot about this commercial!! It's funny because I remember seeing it literally every single week on Saturday mornings but then they abruptly stopped playing it and I completely forgot about it! And I remember enjoying it at first but then it got annoying after a while. 😅😂
There's so many annoying repetitive commercials that i still remember from early 2000s and now i miss them alot
I had a Slifer model kit. I like how that first ad even showed the Obelisk even though in the US we hadn’t got to Battle City yet!
Nice!
I love that a bunch of old toy commercials had kids going against each other in underground fight clubs
You know you a yugi-boomer when you remember every commercial 😂👴
I had the gaia the dragon champion figure. It was essentially 2 toys in 1.
I always see Gaia at flea markets hahaha legs opened awkwardly because he sat on top of Cruse of Dragon. 💀
The CG blue eyes is super impressive. It's a two second shot but looks good even today
The Red Eyes Black Dragon model was nice, but I didn't know they had the god monsters.
Is ridge wallet a part of yugioh commercial too 😂
Trip down memory lane! I had the Gate Guardian, Launcher Spider, and REBMD models. Great video, guys!
Man, I wish I could have seen these commercials back when I was a kid. I would have been so hyped for them lmao
"Actually I do smoke marijuana, it's gooooooood stuff"
So, you're telling me, that i can't smoke pot if i want to be a good duelist?
Dang it...
This brought back so many good memories. Thanks guys
I'm so glad you guys did the Blue-Eyes vs Exodia "live-action movie"-style commercial cuz that was hands down my favorite since when. I've been trying to develop a series based on that core memory!
I like this channel so much
Damn I remember every one of these commercials.
I miss old Yugioh
They made commercials more creative and they were really fun to watch. Now they just announce stuff and that's it.
Could you imagine if any other the other Yu-Gi-Oh protagonists had their own Marijuana PSA?
Jaden: I can't get my game on if I smoked Marijuana!
Yusei: I can't rev it up with my pals if I were to smoke Marijuana!
Yuma: I'd be feeling all kinds of the wrong flows if I smoked Marijuana!
Yuya: I wouldn't be able to make anyone smile if I smoked Marijuana!
I couldn't think of anything for Yusaku since I stopped after Arc-V.
OMG EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED THE DAY BEFORE MY BIRTHDAY THANK YOU I AM A HUGE FAN OF YAMI YUGI
Drugs are probably a cheaper hobby than yu gi oh
To a extent i guess.
I love your videos especially this one you're awesome
ion really play anymore but im still subbed cause I like you guys, I barely remember all your names and stuff but dude to the right is super chill. he needs to be in more videos and be more of a focus point.
Yo the CGI for the monsters in the LOB commercial is fantastic
Yugioh players. Drug free is the way to be.
I had the launcher Spider toy, I loved it cause it shot missiles and walked
I had a slypher the sky dragon model my parents got for me at target, the nostolgia this video brings me is amazing thank you for the content!
Jeez you guys reminded me that when I was a kid my brother and I always got the new decks and packs when my mom could afford it and we'd play daily thinking of new ways to beat the others strats and I only ever beat my brother once with the new structure deck that had dark eradicator warlock, but my mom got my brother the build red eyes and I got obelisk. Such a cool memory I forgot and you guys reminded me. Thank you for bringing back part of my childhood!! Your videos got me back into the TCG after about 15 years
Sheeeeit id love to see Konami or someone build a real working duel disk with hologram projectors 😂 hahaha but that anti drug commercial was cringe AF Lol
Ever since augmented reality has been a thing I've wanted a way to play Yu-Gi-Oh! Where I can see the monsters in the real world whilst dueling
@@pyromd69 agreed! I really hope we can get these things to happen very soon. The technology is definitely there and it can happen. And when that day comes, its gonna be something special for all Yu-Gi-Oh players
@@jonkozlowski2476 the tech exists but it feels like it was put on the back burner the last few years :( and right now I do understand it might be too expensive for a commercial product like I want but if pokemon go can work with AR it is possible the biggest hurdle would be Konami really
The problem with those duel discs is that your deck has to have 40-50 cards in a decks and you can put sleeves on your cards, or you couldn’t fit the deck in the holder, or cards in the slots. First hand experience.
Try to keep r deck at 45 at the most
I got that Red-Eyes Black Metal for Christmas as a kid. No idea what happened to it. Thank you for resurfacing some wonderful memories.
I have a video suggestion, you guys should go over every person Yugi/Atem have scared for life or killed in the early manga before it went to the playing cards. I think that be fun to go over
Me: I think you should get the Obelisk model
Orbital: sir I don't think that would be a wise option
Me: If you don't be quiet orbital 7 I'll rip your circuits

Love the video, I had the duel disc that destroyed cards. Never knew about the model kits back then, I would have went nuts.
I'm a 30 year old man, my first Yu-Gi-Oh cards were magic ruler, couldn't even build a deck for a while. Eventually got obsessed with it, as did my brother, but we stopped playing after synchros started. Now I'm playing master duel and getting back into it and I like y'all's work. Keep it up!
I used to own one of those duel disks, they are pretty worthless.
They sell for a pretty penny actually
this was GOLD!! more OG era themed videos!
just discovered your channel after re-igniting my yugioh passion when i got the new online game yugioh master duel
1:18
Never had them but seeing these kinds of toys and the other commercials bring all sorts of childhood memories back
True
I like this channel for all that nostalgia, keep going guys
I had all those toys and the duel disk and the chaos duel disk, still have them in my storage lol
I still have my harpies pet dragon and gate guardian models from when I was a kid. This was Hella nostalgic you guys should definitely do a part two if able.
At 1 point I had the Exodia with the fire ball, I'll have to take a look to see if I still have it in a bin at my parents house. Had that, and 1 other one. Also had a bunch of the mini figures with the plastic cards and the duel arena for it, still got some of those figures but the arena was recently tossed because of a basement flood.
if it helps clarify, Toys-R-Us still exists to this day all across Canada. When the company announced it was closed all it's locations some rich guy up here bought out all the Canadian stores to keep them open and running. They even still hold Yu-Gi-Oh tournaments, although on a much smaller scale and for kids only.
Omg the nostalgia. I had the duel disk, built the red eyes, and gate guardian. I could never find obelisk. I feel happy and old
Unlocking some ancient memories with these old commercials.
I spent the whole video trying to figure out which out of the 5 microphones yall had set up actually made it into the video. One of them wasn't even plugged in🤣
I love LittleKuriboh's parody of the drug PSA where Yami tells kids not to smoke marijuana because it costs money that would be better spent on Yu-Gi-Oh cards.
This video is a blast of nostalgia lol I actually had the Slifer Model when i was younger
9:09 I preordered the ULTIMAGEAR Millenium Puzzle Model Kit on HobbyLink Japan. Can't wait to get it sometime in August!
thank u guys🥰 this video made my day
On that first commercial, I'm like 90% sure I owned that Launcher Spider figure. Wish I still had, it'd make a badass monster miniature in a dnd campaign
I remember those model kits.
Me and my brother each had one. One of us had the Red Eyes and the other had the Launcher Spider.
I remember seeing that old Yugioh anti-drug psa along with the don't drink and drive ads and other anti-weed ads that were shown as commercials during Channel One News in my middle school years. They stopped showing it around the year 2006 though
Yo this unlocked a DEEP memory. I had that Exodia figure and I didn't even know I had one until just now.
That intro got me on the floor crying 🤣 that drug ad got me howling
These commercials brought back to an incredible time growing up waking up every Saturday mornings on Kids WB and coming home after school watching weekday afternoons watching Jackie Chan Adventures, Mucha Lucha, Xiaolin Showdown, Transformers: Cybertron, The Batman, Pokémon Johto League Adverntures or Chronicles and of course Yu-Gi-Oh!. To me the classic shows were that but the one that impacted me my whole entire life was Yu-Gi-Oh! It made me led to believe I would beg for my parents to buy me starter decks and structure decks but my parents say no until 2002 I got me both Yugi and Kaiba Starter Decks. Seeing all of these commercials brought me back nostalgia, it's never seen on TV anymore but Konami used commercials for duel packs and starter decks of their respective seasons. I've never gotten any action figures but the one model kit I got from my dad when I was 14 was the one and only Slifer the Sky Dragon model kit. I opened the box and the beauty of it was the pieces with instructions got me so crazed with putting them together, no clue or tape. Press and click the pieces, put it in a stand and you got Slifer striking its menacing stare when it's summoned. You guys made this review just takes me back. For us kids I'm happy to say it made our childhoods awesome and these gems are etched in our hearts and minds for a long time. Had it happened today meaning if Konami set up more action figures and other products in conjuction with Mattel, Hasbro or any toy company we'll go crazy and kids today would beg parents for more like we did to fall in love and grasp Yu-Gi-Oh! in all its glory. What a treasure. And people, children, please don't do drugs. Have faith and believe in the Heart of the Cards.
love the way Yami is like don't do drugs kids, Jayden is like - AY I'M FKIN BAKED Y'ALL GO HERO DUDE BRING ME THAT DANK POT OF KUSH
You guys gotta get that red eyes kit. Also one good commercial you missed was for the kaiba and yugi evolution starter decks. It was a kid who just straight up no tributes a blue eyes and is like "that's game wanna go again?" Gets me every time 😂👍
Getting stoned while dueling is actually fun though
I had the big Yugioh toys, I had Exodia and Rude Kaiser I think Dark Magician, I believe I had more but I specifically remember those. I also had an original Duel Disk but it snapped in half during a move to a new place, it was really heavy. I remember all of these commercials
I had the Obelisk and Red Eyes Black Metal Dragon model kits as a child alongside the Dark Magician and Black Luster Soldier toys. This brought back key memories of my youth I forgot all about.
That first commercial I remember having the Exodia one from Kmart. It looked awesome, but got tired of it really quick because it was too stiff and had a terribly loud and tinny noise when you pressed the button on his back. I also remember those duel blades as well. My friend had two of them. They looked pretty cool when you had them on, but dueling with them was not practical at all. Your arm gets tired really quick from the weight and straps. In the end we just ended up playing with them on the floor. 😆
