"monsters are attacking the city" come on I can't be the only one who got oricalcos arc flashbacks when I heard the person in the commercial saying that
I got a Watapon from the movie too, but I got the last laugh. In my summer camp, some friends got together to pool all of the movie cards and held a tournament to decide who gets them.....I won.

I remember buying that toy arena back when I was a kid. It came with Great Moth and Summoned Skull toys but I never managed to find other monster toys so it was quickly forgotten. Shame really. The toys were pretry cool and carefully made. Summoned Skull was see-through like a crystal and they had lots of detail on them
I remember having a couple of those yugioh toys. Had exodia, Blue-eyes ultimate dragon, normal blue eyes, and launcher spider. Also I went to the movie with my mom and grandma, we got 3 watapons.
this was a trip down memory lane, some of my best memories I had as a kid was everyone on the block playing with these yugioh or pokemon burger king toys that we all got and all having cool and unique ones and imagining we're all having a grand duel/battle
That Yu-Gi-Oh toy commercial was a nostalgic kick to the balls for me. Though there was one other toy commercial I can't seem to find. I believe it was the VERY first Yugioh toy commercial in the states. It had kids reeneacting a duel between Yugi and Kaiba with figures of both duelists, Saggi the Dark Clown, Dark Magician, and Blue-Eyes. I still remember the last line in it too. "How will Yugi win? It's all up to you!"
I had the Launcher spider, Harpy's pet dragon, and a Slifer the sky dragon monster kits and my buddy had the Obelisk one. As for the movie I got The pyramid of light. I had (might still have) some pokemon quavers. I also have 2 yugioh medallions , one is a hexagon with yami, summoned skull, and Gaia the fierce knight, the other one is shaped like the millennium puzzle and it has Yami, Beta the magnet warrior, and Alpha the magnet warrior. The shoot out commercial and the battery operated launcher spider commercial are the two new to me.
I went with my sister and cousins to watch Pyramid of Light. Me and my cousin got Watapon (the small fluffy monster), my sister got Shining Blue Eyes, so my cousin exchanged his for that.
15:31 The toy looks cool and all but what kid was thinking "Blue-Eyes?, Dark Magician?, Nah, I want a toy based on that obscure monster that was only used once by a minor antagonist!" Launcher Spider wasn't even Keith's ace, imagine how cool a Barrel Dragon toy would have been.
9:24 oh my god my brother used to have that Obelisk model! he'd always pull it out whenever he summoned Obelisk in a duel for some reason though. man, i wish he still had that thing though. it was awesome. i used to have a YuGiOh model too, but it wasn't Obelisk. it was Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon.
Do they still have passwords in the lower left of each card? I remember using them for a lot of the video games back in the 2000's; shame a good gimmick is done now.
I remember this one ad where it was a fan art competition on 4Kids. The winner was something like Dragon Ice or some such. I was so jealous of the winner because I feel like the winner got their card made into a real card.
I remember the duel disk commercial, i actually have it and i remember some of the other Ads you added to your vid and yes i did see yugioh the movie in theatres in 2004 with my young brother and i gotten sorcerer of dark magic and my brother got blue eyes shining lol
Omg I totally remember some of these lol but I actually had the thousand dragon action figure. Coolest Christmas present ever. Unfortunately it got lost over time and I wished I held onto it
17:30 I can explain that one. From Kids WB Cartoon Network got the rights to Yu-Gi-Oh and GX for a bit. 5D'S was on for a bit until CW got it and it fizzled out. Nictoons had a hold on Season 4.
Omg the nostalgia!!! I have the badass Launcher Spider, the duel disks (including the orichalcos one) and the monster shootout arena. I need to find all of them again, legit the best toys aha. Great video!
that anti-drug PSA was so cheap, they used that old-school artwork we found googling around 2003 when the series started airing on tv. we set the summoned skull one as a friend's wallpaper, then panicked when we couldn't remember where wallpapers get changed and he got worried his mom wouldn't be ok with it. he ultimately set the computer back to factory settings to get rid of the wallpaper. was pretty wild.
I actually had one of the BK toys, granted I dont remember which one, I just know I stumbled upon the millenium pieces when cleaning out. Although, I DO still own the seal of orichalcos duel disk. Man that thing made my young self feel like such a badass, because I had the "cool" duel disk. My friends had the normal one so we always made our own stories with me always being the bad guy....those were the days.
I actually remember a couple of these now. Like the duel disk one. Also, it's not on here, but I remember there was a commercial for a Yugioh birthday party set with paper plates, plastic cup, napkins, and a little plastic replica Millenium Puzzle. I actually had it a long time ago, but I think the cup faded out in the dishwasher or something and I lost the puzzle.
I use to have that thing where you shoot the balls at each other, it broke easily and we lost the balls so I use to just pretend yugi and Kiba where dueling, I also tried to collect the BK and Mcy D toys and cards as well back when the movie came out, Yugioh was one of my favorite anime’s to watch besides DBZ and the old school anime’s on toonomi IE Gundam wing, outlaw star, etc etc
The only thing I can ever think of when the duel disk toy shows up is how one of the kids I used play against at the local library sessions was low-key mocking the couple of other kids that showed up with them the entire time we were playing in a way that was about to make me lose it.
I remember thinking the Egyptian gods were so cool, if you had anything related to Rah you were the king of the playground. I used to play Yu-Gi-Oh with my friends when I was in third grade, those were the days dawg
I still have my duel disk and my Blue Eyes Shining Dragon from when I saw the movie in theatres. My sister got the pyramid of light and my brother got Watopon.

To be far, with small adjustments for character introductions, the Dawn fo the Duel arc (DM) would be an easy way to adapt YGO to live action. Mind you, removing all that happens in the present.

I still have the Kaiba pin badge. It actually used to be my mom's since she is a Kaiba fangirl and used to wear it on her coat. But she gave it back to me because she told me she was embarrassed to have it on in front of her friends. I have no idea what happened to the Kaiba keychain and whether she still has that, though.
I think I still have all three versions of the duel disk (the OG, the Orichalcos, and the HX one). I used to own a Strike of Neos T-Shirt I got from my first tournament but then I think my mom threw it away for no reason.
Holy moly I just got the inrto to one of the first episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged like 15 years later and having watched it probably a hundred times. "Actually I do smoke marijuana. It's good stuff." I thought it was just a throwaway joke but it was a reference to the anti-drugs thing. Also Atem, even without taking the manga into account, you've used dark occult powers to crush the souls of multiple other duelists just because you beat them at a card game, including Kaiba who you were then prepared to let fall to his death. Maybe you should smoke a joint before a game occasionally so as not to be enacting such harsh penalties on people, such as activating a card which sacrifices the losers souls in a duel in which there are no stakes at all.
I remember me and my friend watched the Yugioh Movie after school, he was so HYPED to see the movie. When we got our packs he was so excited to get Shining Blue Eyes but instead he got Pyramid of Light. Meanwhile I was the one that got Shining Blue Eyes and asked me what I got, I just answered him: oh yeah I got Wattapon.

Holds up the five pieces of Exodia and says "It's time to duel"? Did that kid just Zero Turn Kill? "to become champion dueler!" Oh come on, advertisement agency! Dueler is barely even a real word! Technically it _is_ a real word, but I've never heard it used in my entire life, and it _must_ be a pretty uncommon synonym (for example, the word duelist occurs on the Wikipedia article for "Duel" 7 times, while the word dueler occurs only once).
