*Well, in Europe (I live in the Netherlands) cars from VAG (VW, Audi, Porsche, Skoda & Seat) are most common.* VAG (Volkswagen Auto Group) made pretty reliable cars back in the beginning and still when VW just bought Audi and Skoda. Almost all the '80 en '90 cars are bulletproof. Around 2000 the quality went down. The golf and Jetta back then had bad interiors, but the engines where fine. Automatics broke down around 150k. Later when the golf V and VI came the engine problems started too. The horrible TSI, TFSI, and GTDI came too. And the early DSG automatics are notorious for breaking down. GM voids the warranty on vehicles with salvage or reconstructed titles. Ran into this issue with a Chevy truck. If the vehicle passes a states enhanced inspection and is issued a reconstructed title, GM will honor certain safety recall items only. No warranty. As soon as the service dept. ran the VIN on the truck for approval it kicked back. Offered a discount on parts as a courtesy but the dealer would not touch it. Spear Chevrolet in Pa.. @@iliaslamari7315 I was given a '90 VDP with the 4L, black w/ AEE-code doeskin interior. People have asked me if I work on Jag's, but these are the 'change over' year. ATE-sourced ABS brakes. I've got a 2001 Jetta GLS with the 2.0L, 5 speed and 220,000 miles on it... still running great with normal maintenance. Only problem with the interior was the "soft touch" paint on the hard plastic parts... cleaned it off with some 91% alcohol and it's smooth black now.

thank for those great videos. I wish you the best for 2019 ... keep up whit your 5 stars content ... i very much appreciate your complicity whit weard beard so we can see from a to z in some of the car
i have an 05 jetta tdi, had it 3 and half years and to be honest the major issue i have is suspension and driveshaft issues, the gearbox and engine is quite strong despite 156000 miles, ive had all the pulleys and belts done 3 years ago and fluids changed regularly . ,the one breakdown i had was 3 years ago and that was the injector wiring loom had failed , i find them ok
Ive got a MK5 jetta, same body as that one, excellent car. Its a TDI which is my favorite. 220k miles, all dealer upkeep and still gets 50 to 60 mpg. Excellent car with the manual transmission but stay away from the autos.
The Deathstar engine came out in '93 in the Eldos, Sevilles, and Allante's. The Devilles had them after '95, I believe. I HATE that body style Eldo, but I do like that one due to the color and condition. Buy something.
I had a 1976 jaguar xj12 with a 351 Windsor & c4 swap, that one I wouldnt restore with the interior that far gone, and the rust I saw in a place or two probably means theres more hidden rust, and the v12 is really junk in those, needs an amercan v8, and unless it's a small block chevy it will probably need a trans too.
We have a 78 xj12 green one that’s been sitting since 91 in a garage I think it’s been sitting either because of a part of the suspension or frame other wise it has maybe 60k on the odometer I think great looking car and very comfortable to sit in
I had a 08' Rabbit, for almost 7 years with not a single issue. They have AISIN transmissions. They were made in Germany. Jettas in Mexico, they are so so. Some issues with GTI and Passats, but nothing to bad. Stay away, from what you have now. I believe gen 4th.(MKV IV).
They fixed the heater core access on the MK6 VW, that's about all i can say about them. You can access it from the driver's side without pulling the dash.
You mentioned that warranty was still good on the Cruze in the video. I would like to point out that I bought a 2018 Hyundai Ioniq with 9,xxx miles as soon as the car was titled as salvage manufacturer voided warranty. Just something to think about.
That Jaguar XJ-12L, being a 1974, is an early series 2 which is very definitely not the best of the breed. That carb V12 will struggle to make 15 mpg, and that's an Imperial gallon so you're looking at even less in the US...
Hey man how is it going I have a question that I feel you are the best to answer to I found a really clean 2008 c6 corvette, has 35k miles on it I’m hesitant about buying it cuz I study medicine and I don’t have time for it if it develops any mechanical issues or whatsoever So my question is about the reliability of these C6s, are they reliable or do they keep on breaking? since I don’t live in the states and where I live there’s only few of them around! Many thanks! Waiting for your answer!
The 370z is the newer model. It's like a second gen 350z with a 3.7. There is some changes like the headlights and taillights. The white Prius look to have a suspension / alignment issue, the two front wheels aren't parallels
I think selling the Harley is a great idea. I don't remember how much you have into it, but I think it will make a great flip. That's what you do; you flip. I wish you success with that.
Go for that Eldorado. One of my friends has a 98 Eldorado with the Northstar aka deathstar with almost 400,000 miles and it's still going. She's been lucky with that car.
Hands down great video I liked every part of it and I was out there last Friday and looked at that red Camaro and I couldn't even get the hood up on it and there's a red 2001 Camaro out there that I'm interested in though has front end damage

2.5 i5 vw engines are very realible. i have a rabbit 07 with 254k miles runs very good interior is near perfect except the headliner! mk5 vw's are solid
Cruzes are very good cars I have a 2016 limited and I love it. Try and find some cheap cruzes and fix and sell quick flip cars. Everyone needs a economy car
Sucks your selling the f150 hd. You should do some things to the red one like swap wheels and seats. Maybe front lip and lower it. Exhaust. Make it kind of a Harley edition.
My first vw was a 2001Jetta VR6. Then I decided not to keep it and bought a 2008 Jetta 2.5 brand new. I had it up until last month when I wrecked it. It had 167k and she ran real good. I bought a mark 4 20th anniversary GTI and I love that car. I also have an Audi S3 that I bought to replace wrecked Jetta. Every Volkswagen that I have/had has something in common. They’re all built in Germany. Mexican built Volkswagens are pretty junk.

i have an 05 jetta tdi, had it 3 and half years and to be honest the major issue i have is suspension and driveshaft issues, the gearbox and engine is quite strong despite 156000 miles, ive had all the pulleys and belts done 3 years ago and fluids changed regularly . ,the one breakdown i had was 3 years ago and that was the injector wiring loom had failed , i find them ok
The Harley Davidson truck is so nice, a good detail would make a world of a difference
Ive got a MK5 jetta, same body as that one, excellent car. Its a TDI which is my favorite. 220k miles, all dealer upkeep and still gets 50 to 60 mpg. Excellent car with the manual transmission but stay away from the autos.
That sucks..hope you get over it quickly. I just had a bad cold with sore throat and cough for 10 days! Finally just feeling good...drink and rest!
The Deathstar engine came out in '93 in the Eldos, Sevilles, and Allante's. The Devilles had them after '95, I believe. I HATE that body style Eldo, but I do like that one due to the color and condition. Buy something.
Never heard "Deathstar" lol
I had a 1976 jaguar xj12 with a 351 Windsor & c4 swap, that one I wouldnt restore with the interior that far gone, and the rust I saw in a place or two probably means theres more hidden rust, and the v12 is really junk in those, needs an amercan v8, and unless it's a small block chevy it will probably need a trans too.
I own a 2007 VW GTI owned it for a little over a year nd never had a problem with it so far anyways
i'm not a caddy guy but that one is immaculate.
Randy, I respect your work ethic sir.
2009 is a good year for VAG. My grandma has a 2009 VW beetle
Go for the Eldorado! 👍👍
I was the one that won the Eldorado today for $1000 winning bid.
Bon Shot Nice! Good Luck with it!👍👍
@@MrSaosinbonshot 1k for that? wow i thought it would of been at least 4k
2000-2002 Jettas are always pretty good to go for.
We have a 78 xj12 green one that’s been sitting since 91 in a garage I think it’s been sitting either because of a part of the suspension or frame other wise it has maybe 60k on the odometer I think great looking car and very comfortable to sit in
nice looking classic Jaguar.
Do u ever think of picking up that xj12 and fix it up
You can pick the Jaguar XJ,Cadillac and VW Jetta
The 013 Audi starts by applying brake and push button on the control shift. I 0wn 3
That Caddy had to have been garage kept it's entire life. No evidence of sun blistering at all.
I love Doug he's hilarious
Cool Jag! I'd love to see that flipped.
Caddy great bid.. Goonzsquad will get that camero and fix that
love the vids keep it up hope you feel better
Happy New Year! and I have no idea how I got unsubscribed from your channel.
watch out for the 2 door xjj, they are sought after, only made in low numbers
I like all your videos you make it show everyone what to buy what not to buy
I really like the old caddy. Are you going to get it?
Watch out for the 09G transmission! VW autos like 05-13 ish. Manuals are pretty good though.
Love the copart walk around
I had a 08' Rabbit, for almost 7 years with not a single issue. They have AISIN transmissions. They were made in Germany. Jettas in Mexico, they are so so. Some issues with GTI and Passats, but nothing to bad. Stay away, from what you have now. I believe gen 4th.(MKV IV).
They fixed the heater core access on the MK6 VW, that's about all i can say about them. You can access it from the driver's side without pulling the dash.
Randy buy some Centrum Silver multivitamins. I used to get sick alot too until I started taking them regularly.
2nd gen Prius is nice but just never a fan of the dashboard is so empty and all placed on the centre.
also GET THE ELDORADO!!
That Eldog aka ELDorado is so sexy! Id have bid on that 93 was the 1st year for Northstar powered cars, IT was introduced with the updated Eldorado
the impalas sell well used in fla to blacks so they can play po-po. before it was the crown vic
+super20dan you’re a real winner aren’t you? Dumbass
That carb V12 will struggle to make 15 mpg, and that's an Imperial gallon so you're looking at even less in the US...
what does that matter, it aint rusty!
Hey man how is it going
I have a question that I feel you are the best to answer to
I found a really clean 2008 c6 corvette, has 35k miles on it
I’m hesitant about buying it cuz I study medicine and I don’t have time for it if it develops any mechanical issues or whatsoever
So my question is about the reliability of these C6s, are they reliable or do they keep on breaking?
since I don’t live in the states and where I live there’s only few of them around!
Happy New Year Randy! Dude the Jag was cool but OMG trying to fix a 45 year old Jag?
Great Video.. Hope you feel better soon..
And hope u get to feeling better
I watched the video for the Jag v12 you said something about the wood next time you are around one pre 93 check out the window chrome and trim that type stuff I have only seen on Jaguar the real deal
2.5 i5 vw engines are very realible. i have a rabbit 07 with 254k miles runs very good interior is near perfect except the headliner! mk5 vw's are solid
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year
Sick huh..? Had a lil to much fun last night 😂 I #happy new year
Cruzes are very good cars I have a 2016 limited and I love it. Try and find some cheap cruzes and fix and sell quick flip cars. Everyone needs a economy car
Sucks your selling the f150 hd. You should do some things to the red one like swap wheels and seats. Maybe front lip and lower it. Exhaust. Make it kind of a Harley edition.
. Vs makes good care after 2012 I have GTI got 295000 miles some problem but no big problem
I had a 2000 VW JETTA that I got up to 107 on the highway.
Hope you feel better and it's NOT the flu hopefully
