I like how Ringo sang this at the concert for George. It was hard not to get teary eyed.
That was an amazing concert! There were many tear jerker moments for sure, including this one.
Just watched that a few weeks ago after they released the 10 year anniversary/remastered version, so good! The sad part of watching it is how many more of those artists we've lost that performed at that show in tribute to George.
That was amazing especially when Paul Mac brought out the uke
Not get teary eyed? I'm a hot mess.
As Ringo said at the into to this song at that Concert for George, "It has a whole different meaning to me now."
George Harrison wrote this one for Ringo, who was the most vulnerable of the Beatles to continuing his career after the Beatles broke up. Such a rich song
So true!
Song was actually cowritten by George Harrison and Ringo Starr.
@@mosesruiz9813 probably about 80% George and 20% Ringo.
@@nonrepublicrat credit is due where credit is due.
He didn't write this for Ringo, he wrote it with him.
Ringo is still going strong. My daughter and I saw him and his All Starr band in September, and it was so much fun! He looks and sounds great. Can’t believe he’s 82
One of my favorite Ringo Starr songs, it features George Harrison on 12-string acoustic guitar & harmony vocals
Paul, John, and George were quick to catch up, but for the first few years of the 1970s, Ringo had the most commercial success of all the former Beatles. He was releasing hit after hit and was all over the radio for a while.
It Don't come easy, also written by George Harrison.
@@raulmexb I think that’s the Ringo song that they’d already reacted to before this one 👍
@@4508bluesky Yep👍🏻
❤
George was the first to hit #1 solo with My Sweet Lord in February 1971, Photograph was Ringo's first #1 on Billboard in November 1973 followed by You're 16 in January 74, it would be Ringo's last appearance in the top spot though he went on to have a total of 7 Top 10's. Ringo may have beaten Lennon and McCartney to the top position but they both had multiple Top 10's under their belt by the time Photograph was released.
Jay& Amber, you'll love his "You're Sixteen", "Oh My My" and "Back Off Boogaloo" !
Edit- "The No No Song" is a fun one ! He co-wrote "Photograph" with George Harrison.
I think George Harrison wrote the whole song and gave it to Ringo, and many other songs. Got from rolling stone magazine years back!
@@raulmexb I believe I heard the same thing. He still gets the credit/royalties :)
John was most worried about Ringo after they broke up, because he wasn’t principally a writer.. but Ringo found his niche ❤️
I love the no no song....Definitely needs a listen....in my life from the Beatles is one you need to listen to
Don't forget the "No No Song" as well.
Always sung at his concerts but when he sang this at the Concert for George it was heartbreaking.
He sang this song at the George Harrison Tribute concert. It took on a whole new meaning to me.
Congratulations I have something for you , DM me via the platform above........🔝🔝🔝
And to him, I’m sure.
I love The Beatles so much. I have talked about them so much that my 9 year old granddaughter decided to read a biography of the group. She fell in love with Ringo and his back story as a child. She has since started taking drum lessons and loves it!
Very inspiring post. I wish you and your granddaughter the very best.
Beatle Ringo's BEST SONG!!
Great song! The woman with Ringo in the video is is wife, Barbara Bach. They've been together for over 40 years. In my teen years during the 70s decade, Barbara Bach was considered what we called at the time, one of the "Supermodels". She's also an actress. I believe her first film was the 1977 James Bond movie "The Spy Who Loved Me" (I was a huge fan of James Bond movies). Thanks so much for a great reaction! ✌💙✌
Great tune! This and "It Don't Come Easy" are classics! Thanks! ✌🏻💀
they did It Dont Come Easy, see it here - ruclips.net/video/ElvcucQXxss/видео.html
Ringo and George co-wrote this #1 song. Ringo sang it at the memorial concert for George after George passed away. If you haven’t seen the video clip for that performance I dare you to watch it and get through it without shedding a tear.

The amazing thing about The Beatles is that they all had great solo careers. i can't think of another band that did that. They're in the Rock and Roll Hall as a Band and as individual artists. It just demonstrates the amount of talent.
I would say the Eagles also had great solo careers. Just my opinion.
@@michaelbehrens1179 Frey, Henley and Walsh did...the others less so
@@fnjesusfreak I agree & just a small comment, Walsh already had Rocky Mountain way in 1973 & wrote Life's been Good in 1978. Obviously the Eagles were on a bit of a hiatus then but in any case he wouldn't have wanted to have given it to the Eagles as Henley or Frey would have insisted that one of them sang it whilst also claiming writing credits.
Name one song Don Felder has done on his own.@@michaelbehrens1179
A touching song. George wrote it with him, it has that definite sound from him.
Ringo sang this on the show honoring George Harrison after his passing. It broke me up a bit, the lyrics being what they are.
George writes 2 songs for Ringo....both become number 1's.....there you have it.🤘😎
The woman in the photos with Ringo is his wife Barbara Bach or Lady Starkey and was a "Bond girl."
Yes add "It Don't Come Easy" to his list of great songs..,,Yes he is the most joyous of all The Beatles...
This was my favorite Ringo song. I remember riding my bike up to the record store to buy the 45 when it came out b
The woman is Ringo’s second, and current, wife Barbara Bach. She was the main Bond girl in The Spy Who Loved Me.
I love Ringo, and I love this song. Ringo was the one Beatle that, no matter what went on between John and Paul, or even between John, Paul and George before it eventually blew up, the others always wished him the very best. He is really beloved. The pretty woman in the video is His wife of nearly 42 years, the lovely Barbara Bach. She was a Bond girl. They met on the set of the movie Caveman. Very funny film starring Ringo, Barbara and Shelley Long. Good film!
Love his songs, especially this one. He doesn't get the credit he deserves.
This song is so sad. Especially when you think about someone you cant be with any more except for a photograph.
And I lost the photograph.
Interesting fact: (edit) This was co-written with George Harrison. Previously I wrote that Ringo was the first Beatle to have a solo hit after they broke up.Turns out whatever article I got that from lied to me. George was the first.
I think it was “It Don’t Come Easy”, but this one was maybe even a bigger one a few years after.
no, it was George, my sweet lord
The only beetle to marry a Bond girl James Bond
@@matthewashman1406 I stand corrected. Whatever article I read telling me it was Ringo lied to me.
Thank you for reacting to Photograph, unquestionably one of Ringo Starr's biggest number 1s! I love the "wall of sound" approach they took in producing this song, which was co-written by Richard Starkey (Ringo) and George Harrison.
I caught Ringo in concert last fall. Given how he has the moves of someone a quarter of his age, I couldn't believe how young he seems for someone aged 83. Please take a look at my favorite Ringo song, Oh My My! Amber, you’ll love the horns and Jay, you’ll love the piano! It’s quite a funky top 10 tune from 1974.
Fantastic song of amazing Sir.Ringo Star, and briliant writen of his former Beatles band-mate George Harrison
“Photograph” is my favorite Ringo song. Meaningful with beautiful instrumentation.
Ringo continues to release great music at 82! Love Ringo!
This song was written by George Harrison btw.
I was 4 years old the first time I ever saw The Beatles. They came to America and I was parked in front of the TV watching them play on The Ed Sullivan Show. I was hooked from then on. I remember how much I was enamored with Ringo and all my older cousins would laugh at me because of course John and Paul were the main heartthrobs back then. I didn't care though, I liked Ringo then and continued to have a thing for drummers into my teens and 20's, even dating one who played in a local band in the 80's. But anyway, Ringo still holds a special place in my heart.
Ringo sounds beautiful, beautiful 💎 ❤🎉 I love his voice... like in " A little help from my friends' Octopuses Garden " 🪲🍏💚💛
Ringo Starr has had an amazing life. A popular member of the Beatles (1962-70), followed by a 50-year solo musical career (20 studio albums, the last in 2019), an acting career, narrated the dvd version of Harry Nilsson's animated movie The Point (1971), narrated the first two seasons of Thomas the Tank Engine TV show, has written books, is married to the beautiful Babarba Bach (the main Bond girl in The Spy Who Loved Me), still going strong at 82, and looking like he has discovered the fountain of youth (and the secret of life). Plus everyone loves him!
I think that was his wife Barbara Bach in the video stills. Certainly some of them looked very much like her.
@@pauldunn5978 Yes, it was Barbara Bach in the stills.
@@pauldunn5978 His first wife, Maureen, who passed away on December 30, 1994 (aged 48); , was seen in the recent "Get Back" documentary and is also quite beautiful.
Great one, please consider a humorous one from Ringo, "The No No song"
No thank you please, it only makes me sneeze.
If you listen to this song when your husband is dying of cancer it really tears you apart.
Strictly speaking you get to enjoy"half" of the Beatles with this song in that not only did George write
this for Ringo, but he also adds back up vocals & his guitar
Ringo sings the lead on The Beatles' country song "Act Naturally"
Ringo has always been my favorite Beatle! His humor shines thru many of his songs - Underrated! ❤️❤️
Ringo has always been a sweetheart!
John Lennon is quoted as saying, "Many people think of Ringo as the least of The Beatles. He was actually the heart & soul of the group."
@@sanzoftatooine Agreed... when Paul inducted Ringo into the RRHF, he admitted that the Beatles were not the Beatles until Ringo sat in on a set... and it was that set that Paul and John looked at each other and realized that they coalesced as the Beatles at that moment....

1973 album Ringo. Starr co-wrote it with George Harrison, his former bandmate from the Beatles which was featured on his first solo Album,
Ringo Starr,The Best Drummer Of All Time
I love Ringo's "It Don't Come Easy" to this day - I think it was his first solo away from Beatles and he always has good back-ups from his friends throughout his solo career.
People that experienced love lost can appreciate this song. The melody and words evoke emotions long after the sadness passes. 46 years later, it still does.
Photograph was a BIG hit for Ringo. Gorgeous Wall of Sound and who doesn't LUV a Castanet! :-D
Yes Yes, Ringo and George !! wonderful stuff And you got 2/4 of the Beatles.
Ringo is the only Beatle that I have actually seen live. I saw him in an outdoor concert in Atlantic City in the 1980's I wish you guys could react to the movie " A Hard Days's Night." I have not seen a lot of reactions to that movie so it may often get blocked. It would be wonderful though. If you can't do it on channel, do it for yourselves.
Ringo's the only Beatle I haven't seen perform live! Saw John at MSG in '72, George at MSG in '76?, Paul ay Yankee Stadium in 2011 and at MSG in 2017. An yes PLEASE REACT TO "A HARD DAY'S NIGHT" the title is one of Ringo's malapropisms
He has another good song called "Oh my my"
Congratulations I have something for you , DM me via the platform above.....🔝🔝🔝
Oh My My, You’re Sixteen, Only You, Goodnight Vienna, Snookeroo, are my favorite songs by Ringo
Speaking of vocal tone- everyone has a range where they are most comfortable. Some singers have a very wide range where they can hit high notes + low notes. Some have a range that’s fairly small including Ringo. Doesn’t make him a bad singer. He sticks to that range and all his songs fit his voice.
i can't make it through this song without tearing up. anyone who has suffered the loss of a loved one, whether it be from a break up or death, can relate to the yearning in the lyrics for just another chance to "grow old and gray" with them, and the helplessness of realizing that will never happen. my favorite ringo song.
The woman in the photos is Barbara Bach, Actress, model, and long-term wife of Ringo. She was a Bond girl in "The Spy Who Loved Me".
In '98, I saw Ringo Starr and His All-Star Band. The guest musicians on his bill were insane. Members of Cream, Peter Frampton, Pat Benatar opened and her husband slash lead guitarist shredded. He was cool AF. But, speaking to Ringo's affable, unflappable charm. This concept was in Concord, Ca, forty minutes out from San Francisco. So, he walks out to thunderous applause and greets us with, 'Hello, San Francisco!' which, of course, he got hit immediately with an equal amount of boos. He looked confused, walked calmly over to his guitarist who whispered in his ear, he nodded, walked back to center stage, head down the whole time, stopped, took a beat, then, with unbridled, unruffled enthusiasm belted out, 'Hello, Concord!!'
Which then was followed by just as loud applause, but laughter now too. He had me Rolling. He told funny Beatles stories, very self-deprecating. Like how he carried that 'garage band,' And they had to break up because they were 'holding him back.' He opened with this song BTW and sounded just like the record. He had a whole lounge lizard vibe which he leaned into and embraced. Ringo was the world's coolest night club act
Beautifully arranged. One of my favorite Ringo tracks.
I wish Ringo and George would have done more together. they were magic
I liked all of the Beatles stuff once they broke up and started doing their solo stuff but I definitely always loved the Ringo stuff. These songs just feel so good to me. This is one of my favorites and I know you've already reacted to it don't come easy, but for example I also love his dance hit even though it's kind of silly but it's just so much fun, Oh My My.
Great song. Don`t close your eyes when the video is on. You miss so much. Most of the photos were of him & his wife Barbara Bach...a beauty. Want to see a funny Ringo...You must see the movie "Caveman" with Ringo & Barbara Bach, Shelley Long...hysterical! Ringo is "Attuck"...Barbara is "Lana"...and "Attuck love Lana". :)
I saw Ringo with his All-Starr band this year. He still puts on a great show.
I started singing this song everyday after my beloved dog, Blue, passed away. He passed in 2008 and I still sing this song and cry. It’s such a moving song and one of my favorites ever.
Loved this song; something perfect for a memorial service. Ringo was definitely under rated, he's a wonderful performer.
Ringo is one of my favorite drummers, for more reasons than just his playing. We share the same birthday, he is 27 years older, we share the same first name, though neither of us goes by it, we are both left-handed, and we are both drummers, although I play left-handed (like Phil Collins) and he plays right-handed, which gives him that one-of-a-kind Ringo sound.
I love Ringos music. He performed this song at Georges memorial concert. It was a heart felt moment.
OMG! You HAVE to react to his movie Caveman. It's freaking funny!
Congratulations I have something for you , DM me via the platform above........🔝🔝🔝
I must have watched Caveman a dozen times growing up.
The makers of this song have created a soundscape. I love how when the horns first come in, just afterwards there is the song of wedding bells added to the layering, adding to the sound and meaning of the song. And all the other little nuances of sounds layered into the mix.
Fun fact,Ringo and late drummer for The Who Keith Moon were good friends. He gave Zak Starkey,Ringo’s son his first drum set at age 9. Since 96 he has even played drums for The Who and is the third drummer to play with the band Oasis
Ringo’s wife is actress Barbara Bach. They have been married for 40 years, they met on the set of a move called Caveman that they both appeared in.
Jay & Amber, you're on FIRE today! This is an AWESOME song! Brings back so many good memories. The arrangement is just gorgeous.
Amber - if you love drums, you need to hear The Safaris "Wipeout"
Or the Ventures
It’s not just you. Ringo has a very soothing voice to me, too!
The woman in those pictures is Barbara Bach (former Bond Girl) who Ringo met and later married a few years after this song was recorded and they are still married to this day :)
Two other Ringo hitscI love are Back Off Boogaloo and It Don't Come Easy (written by George Harrison).
Congratulations I have something for you , DM me via the platform above.....🔝🔝🔝
This was from Ringo's self titled 1973 album. Written by Ringo and George it made it to Number 1 in Canada, US and Australia. It sold over 1 million copies.
Ringo's vocals are so recognizable, as compared to the other lads, I agree.
Great musical backing, made this a big hit. PLEASE PUT "A HARD DAY'S NIGHT" AND "HELP" 💕💕🎶🎶 ON YOUR MOVIE CHANNEL.
It gives you such an inside into their personalities and early Beatlemania.
Great reaction. Buckets of Maple Syrup love from Canada ❤️❤️ 🇨🇦 🇨🇦
Sir Richard Starkey (Ringo Starr) is a Knight (a Knight Bachelor, the oldest order of British Knights, but the lowest ranked), however Sir Elton and Sir Barry (Gibb) outrank him as Knight Commanders. Ringo has, on the other hand, been Knighted twice! The other Beatles were also knighted.
Ringo was Mr. Conductor for the first season of Thomas the Tank Engine show.
He has made lots of movies and won awards. He was also nominated or some TV awards. He has been ranked in the Top 5 of all drummers, and has won many awards for his music. He has a Star in Hollywood in front of the Capitol Record Building along with each of the other 3 Beatles. He has at least one song on each of the Beatles albums.
He was the first Beatle to become a grandfather and great grandfather.
He has been married to actress Barbara Bach since 1981. They met during the movie Caveman (1981) that they both starred in.
The best from Ringo along with It Don't Come Easy. And yes, as PJ remarked, this was done beautifully by Ringo at The Concert For George. Fantastic recording with George Harrison on board.
Ringo likes photography. He has released a book of his photographs. There was also an exhibit which included his photographs at the Grammy Museum. It included some of his drum kits and other memorabilia.
Ringo sang this at a tribute concert for George. If you take the lyrics from that standpoint, it's as if he's singing about George.
Ringo had a string of hits post Beatles. His voice didn't blend well with the others so he usually didn't harmonize with Paul, John and George. Taking lead vocals on songs specifically written for him.
You guys should check out “A Hard Days Night” on the movie channel.
It’s supposed to be a day in the life of the Beatles during Bealtemania
AND their second movie "HELP!" (1965)
One of my favorites from that time.
Congratulations I have something for you , DM me via the platform above.....🔝🔝🔝
The lady in the photos is Barbara Bach to whom he has been married since 1981. Barbara was a "Bond" girl from "The Spy Who Loved Me."
Ringo is both the oldest and youngest Beatle. He was born first and the last to join the band! He once said that if the whole "Beatle" thing didn't work out he'd like to start a hair-dressing salon!
Did you watch the Beatles movies, "Hard Days Night" & "Help"? Ringo was basically the real Star in them! Ringo actually had the most hits the first few years after the break-up. It surprised many people! The "No-no" song is really funny & cute.
Congratulations I have something for you , DM me via the platform above........🔝🔝🔝
NO they haven't. I have been TRYING to get the to REACT to BOTH movies, but so far, they haven't. I don't know if they have time to read the comments, with 3 kids and all. I know they never reply to any of the comments, so I am pretty sure they don't have the time to read them.
@Patti Crichton Maybe they don't wanna pay for them? I have the DVD's and would let them borrow them if they lived in the same city but they don't.
Ringo can actually act, unlike the other 3 Beatles who played themselves.
* the most number one hits maybe. John had in the first years Give Peace A Chance, Instant Karma, Imagine and Happy Xmas which all did good.
This will not be a popular opinion with some, but I believe Paul always had the most talent of the Beatles. From the Beatles to Wings to his solo work and duets with other, he has largest body of work and hits. Please do more Paul!
I agree, he has put out more music because John was murdered in 1980, George died in 2001 and Ringo hasn't written as many songs but has still put out a lot of music with help from others. But Paul does have the biggest catalogue of music during his solo years and then combined with the songs he sang lead on and wrote with the Beatles. YES PLEASE...MORE PAUL!!
Largest body of work and hits doesn't automatically mean most talent. Not making any judgement on who had the most talent. Just saying you can't only base it on large body of work and hits.
@@craigplatel813 I said it’d be unpopular and I said it was what I believe. I never said it was a verifiable fact. Have your opinion. I don’t mind. And I’ll have mine. 🤷🏼♂️
Paul was always the biggest talent behind the Beatles song writing... John had moments and so did George, but Paul was the factor
@@craigplatel813 chances are if you liked John you probably aren`t going to like Paul`s work very much but to the average listener Paul has released more consistently good songs and albums than practically anyone else in modern music, even if you forget about the Beatles.
Co- written with George Harrison who also played on the recording. Klaus Voormann, an early Beatle friend from Germany played bass on this tune. Ringo, George and Billy Preston did a ton of tunes together after the Beatles breakup.
Oh My, if you get the chance to watch the video Concert for George, Paul and Ringo the remaing Beatles are both there, please do so you wont regret it, Ringo sings this song live in a tribute to George and he is one of the highlights of the show, along with many other top artists playing, including, Danni Georges son who was on stage playing throughout the show, another great highlight is the last song of the concert, I'll See You in My Dreams, not sung by a Beatle but by one of George's longest friends the ever popular Joe Brown, George's Widow Olivia joins Joe on stage comforted by Danni, the flower petals fall fom the roof, Oh boy it fills Me with tears every time.
PLEASE Go Back To Them For This Classic,,
The Romantics "What I Like About You" (Official Music Video A MUST!!)
Check out the "NO,NO" song by Ringo Starr.
No thank you please. It only makes me sneeze.
Ringo didn't sing on many Beatle tracks, but he did provide the vocals on "with a little help from my friends" later covered by Joe Cocker. Have a listen to the original with Ringo's vocals.
You want to watch McCartney as an older man live singing Beatles songs and you will see the joy they brought people when young people are still in awe their songs
Ringo's greatest vocal is "Yellow Subamrine" and second place isn't even close. It really is his signature song, and it is a tune he has sung at EVERY concert for his entire career......because it is his SIGNATURE song.
I saw his All-Star Band Live. What was on the playlist? Well.....Joe Walsh sang "Rocky Mountain Way". Burton Cummings sang "These Eyes". Dave Edmunds sang "I Hear You Knocking" and Ringo Starr sang "Yellow Submarine". Like I said. His signature song in a concert that was chock full of signature songs. Check out videos of Ringo's All Starr Band of 1992. That is the year that featured the fore mentioned artists playing together. In fact, it would make a dynamic reaction video.
Oh yea.....he also sang this tune that you are reacting to now. It wasn't the encore. The encore, for the entire concert, was "Yellow Submarine". The entire crowd sang along with him.
Get the hint.....yet?
On edit: It is the "sing along" song of its time. Nothing more. Nothing less. That is the lens of which you must perceive it. The crowd just sings along with it. Every time.
Agree... but there is , also with the Beatles, "With a Little Help from my Friends" :)
@@cicadajet Absolutely correct and I stand corrected. The second-place song is close. Really, really close. A toss up actually.
Your suggestion is certainly, the most listened to. In fact, an introductory to Ringo Starr should probably include your suggestion first. Certainly, before one should pass judgment on Ringo's influence on music and culture.
I saw that tour and I'm pretty sure he also did Act Naturally and Boys, though I think thats a cover the Beatles did, plus my favorite solo track of his, "It Don't Come Easy".
I think he does a great job singing Octopuses Garden as well.
@@ScottKornfeld Search the title below on RUclips. Remember how awesome it was? Just unforgettable. Remember the "No No Song"? That was super awesome as well. I have been a Beatles fan since I was 4 y/o and remember dancing to my favorite Beatles album then, "A Hard Day's Night". So glad you reacted to Ringo's "Photograph". This was one of my favorite songs of 1973. You guys mentioned not having reacted to more Paul McCartney. I would like to suggest reaching to "My Love" one of my other favorite songs from 1973. Paul McCartney wrote this beautiful song for his wife and band mate Linda McCartney. Their 29 year marriage sadly ended when Linda passed away in 1998 of cancer.

“Never Without You” is one he wrote for George as a tribute. It’s from 2003 and it’s a very sweet song.
Probably the most poignant moment of the Concert for George; when Ringo introduced the song by saying the meaning has change now of course.
There is a video on you tube where Ringo sings this for George and has George’s son in the clip as well as a lot of memorable moments with fellow Beatles. Truly beautiful. I still have the single of this song

When RINGO was getting Air play, and had several Songs in the Billboard Top 20. He Told Barbra Walters that JOHN sent him a Telegram that Read, " CONGRATULATIONS! How Dare You! Write Me a Top ten Song! Love John"! By the Mid Seventies, Ringo was Recording Music 🎶 with All 3 of his former Band mates! Not at the Same time if course. That would be Pouring Gas on a Fire 🔥! But this is just one of several Great Songs Ringo had Going for him!
The whole album "Ringo" released in 1973 is great. The 3 other Beatles all contributed songs and played on the tracks.
Ringo is my fave Beatle! He loves every genre and embraces other talents as well. I’ve seen him twice in concert with his All Star Band and would see him over and over. Barbara Bach is his wife of many years - they met on Ringo’s movie “Caveman” which you should definitely watch on review! 😅
I believe this song was the ending of the George Harrison tribute concert and it really twisted some heartstrings, especially with Clapton and Jeff Lynne playing beside home and providing backup vocals

"And while he was being ill and I'd come to see him, I was going to Boston, because my daughter had a brain tumour. "And I said: 'Well, you know, I've got to go, I've got to go to Boston.' It's the last words I heard him say, actually - and he said: 'Do you want me to come with you?'"
This is probably Ringo’s best song of his solo career, the most popular.
thank you guys for finally react on Ringo Star this is my favorite song i mean we had great hits with the Beatles but as a solo singer this is one of his best
Cool!! One thing to know is that Ringo was an avid amateur photographer in the 1960s!
His all star band is worth watching and listening to.
