Agree completely...... love my unit and don't hesitate recommending it.
The only change I would have liked is a small hole, say in the rim of the end cap to take a lanyard loop. I overcame the absence of such a connection point, by temporarily removing the end cap and wrapping a single strand of relatively small diameter (about 1mm), high breaking strain cord around the circumfrential base of the threaded section, then used compound bow serving thread to bind the two ends of the circumferential length of cord; leaving a loop protruding. When the orange cap is screwed back into the fully sealed position, the circle of cord cannot slide up or down, but can still be rotated; by sliding around in the conveniently shaped, pre-existing groove that exists between the base of the cap and the circular lip at the top of the body of the pointer. This allows the small protruding loop to serve as an adjustable anchor point for my lanyard. By carefully checking the tightness of the circle of cord before the binding is whip finished, the anchor point can rotate 360 degrees without sliding off.
I use a coiled lanyard anchored back onto the belt sheath that came with the pointer. No chance of me leaving my baby behind now.

thats a great work around. I've never used a lanyard, but I have dropped my PP. Maybe I should start using one. Thanks again.

I forgot to mention that the pinpointer has an auto-shut off after 5 minutes. It starts slowly beeping until it turns off. I use the first beep to gauge how much time has passed since the last target.

I actually bought one , and it works great,
But i couldn't find 9v battery same as it comes with pointer .
I have used 9v Energizer battery, but it always drained fast .
    What do you suggest ?

One more thing , can the lithium 9v battery work with the nokta pointer ?
Because if it can work , then it will last much longer in the device

Thanks for this-very helpful (feedback tips also). Do you have a review of detecting devices you or club members recommend? What is your main detecting device/model? Cheers

I use Equinox 600/800 and a Nokta Simplex. I plan on doing a video showing what gear I use, sometime soon.

I also have one but as I am slightly deaf I can't hear the sound. I have to watch the light indicator to show me my finds. Really sad You can't change the tone of the machine so I can maybe find a tone I can hear. The cheaper pinpointer I find I can hear easier as they make a deferent frequency sound. Overall an awesome pinpointer.

yes I usually leave mine on while detecting and can go on at least 5 four hour hunts, before I start to lose depth. Thanks for watching and commenting!
