I remember when I was 18 (11 years ago) I almost got sucked into an MLM. I didn’t even know what a pyramid scheme was but the person, a family friend, was insistent that I would be a business owner, I would talk makeup, have parties, meet like-minded women, and possibly make $80k a month like a friend of hers and possibly one day be given a car. To a younger girl that sounded incredible. I’m so glad I wasn’t sucked in though because I knew something sounded suspicious. I’m glad you both realized sooner than later what was going on. They are insanely sneaky!

I'm so happy you got out of that. When I was at a time in my life when I was desperate for income because I couldn't work a "real" job I found something I was interested in and it took me like 2 months to realize it was a scheme because those 3 letters never came up. I learned my lesson and now own my own business that I started from the ground up. Love you and both your channels. Can't wait for more.
Oh I could tell this was Amway from the start of this story. This is how they always do it. It happened to me too but luckily (?) I was in my depressed girl era when they tried it and too non functional for the play to take

Yes, someone came up to me inside of an antique shop .. very sweet and so personable ..and I wondered why she chose me because I wasn't smiling and keeping to myself...so why would anyone approach me . Got my number under the pretense of having so much in common and we could be friends because we both had kids and wanted out of nursing etc..we could hang out sometime with our kids for a play date. ...she texted me and told me about investing into the "thing" that helped her get out of nursing...immesialyy I said nope....not interested ..she asked why. I said I don't trust that at all .she says I can bring my husband too 😂 im like he doesn't even know hed never let me call you in the first place...he wasn't as friendly or naive.....yep, similar situatrion ..she tried to get me into the MLM garbage....I was like ok. Makes sense now .. No way .. nobody is that nice .. it's like they stalk the public places for victims ..... For sure .. find commonalities. I dunno .. lure you in.... I'm not one to hang out with anybody....I was just too busy with too many kids and work... So I was shocked she talked me into it😮and i had to block her... It never ends as you experienced ..

The MLM business model is when there's two specific methods of compensation to their "salespeople". 1) their own sales / commission. 2) commissions based upon the purchases made by other sellers whom the participant has recruited to also sell product. Non MLM companies do not have recruitment incentivized, because it doesn't make sense to. No legit salesperson wants to oversaturate their own market with competitors. The only reason MLMs do, is because it's not about the products or selling them to outside customers, it's about recruiting people under you to recruit more people, everyone pays to participate.
Sounds like Amway or something. My brother in law is a chemist at their headquarters who develops products. It makes me feel gross just having a tangential connection to them. I’m sorry you had so much of your time wasted.
