Life's a gamble. Spoke like a true Italian mobster out of good fellas. And now I realize what you always reminded me of with your street wise, wise guy mentality and philosophy. Respect.
Your Videos are breath of fresh air. Even though I can't afford a Lossy, the sounds you produce can give me, and others like me, ideas of producing them with other tools.
Your videos are the best "pedal videos" on the internet, hands down. Such a wonderful source of creative weirdness. Not gonna buy a lossy nor am i planning to - but I
i'm glad you dig it. i actually had a hard time playing the melody, because the timing of the guitar part underneath was kind of washy and vague, so rhythmically everything was abstract. i had to do a lot of takes just to play the keyboard melody part and have it sound right, it ended up being a hard track to play over
As an Australian, I had no idea this was famous out of Australia. Hearing it in this context was so disconcerting, I couldn’t get my head around it around what song I was hearing a cover of even though I knew the melody so well.
All of these jams sound like the scene in an anime when a character is about to sacrifice themselves and the main character is trying to stop them as its just rolling through flash back - this is a compliment ❤
On point with the sound examples! In particular #3 took me back to that year and the armageddon of a break up I was going through when the song was on the air, but now with even more of a wistful looking back quality to the sound.
Thank you for this! Acoustic sim patch is what I live for! I had stumbled on a similar patch before, but never really conceptualized it as such. I love that digital deterioration actually makes a more acoustic-type sound, especially Tele neck pickup, with some compression in front of Lossy. That spectral resonance is super musical, though. I think that’s really the magic at work here.
Thank you Ivan ! Even when I have no intention of ever buying the pedal you are demo'ing I watch anyway 'cause it's cool to be able to hear what you come up with and the approaches you discuss. Some of the Best of RUclips ! Wishing you the best in 2024 ! - John
Excellent, outstanding presentation! Thanks for sharing some cool settings. This is soooo helpful(way more than any other video on this pedal). Thank you
Thanks dude. Whenever I think I'm becoming boring, I watch one of your videos. Also 7:15 reminded me of Chrono Cross/Trigger (can't remember which one it is). EDIT: Okay yeah it's the Trigger main theme. Sweet!
Been a while since I've checked out your videos - this is a really nice one - particularly loved the Jeff Beck with the sound you chose. I didn't expect this pedal to be that different than the Gen Losses, but it seems really interesting. Thanks!
when i recognised Torn I jumped out of my seat and started laughing and crying simultaneously. cool. would love to be able to listen to it somehow (without just replaying the last 30 seconds of this video)
Torn between this and the Syntax Error v2. They cover a similar ground but the Syntax is just more well rounded with the sequencer and pitch effects, and being cheaper.
I love them both, and running the Syntax Error into the Lossy is an extremely cool sound. But I probably use the Syntax Error more. I would say get that one first and maybe someday get both.
Yet another amazing video ! Could you do a HTBA on the "Dark World" from Chase Bliss ? (that's probably my favorite pedal) Keep up the good work !!! Love from France
Great video as always. I find the price of this thing bizarre seeing as its just a hardware version of a pre-existing plugin! But you made good sounds with it :)
also just to be clear I welcome comments such as yours. Since I get these pedals for free and am paid to make the videos, assessing whether they're worth the money isn't really something I can help anyone with. But I welcome a discussion about it, so that everyone can make the best decision
@@CyberattackWorld I agree, I wouldn't see the cost as being relevant to the videos you make, and no one can objectively say if something is 'good value' anyway. Obviously if someone is considering buying it cost will come into it, and even with pedals being as expensive as they are these days, I was amazed when I saw the cost of this. As far as I can tell it does little more than the plugin does, but I could be wrong.
did you just play something from chrono cross or am i not remembering something right? i was playing that game last week again and things are turning out far too synchronously for life to not be a simulation. there was another strange instance of me listening to cover songs done in videogame sound fonts the other day and i had gotten an older this one older song from the 90s stuck in my head during a walk sometime later and sure enough, there was a videogame cover of that exact song being recommended to me when i got home and opened youtube; somehow there was a melding of the two things that had been preoccupying my mind waiting for me.
that song is called "Play with Me," by Jeff Beck, one of my all-time favorite songs ever. but also since you're asking, the hardcore answer to your question is this: bit.ly/3vZ0yft
@@CyberattackWorld This is the only explanation that kinda makes sense. But you not having one also doesn’t really compute. It feels like the most cyberattack pedal
@@benz.mp3 oh yeah it's definitely cyber. but i don't have a ton of pedals beyond the ones i've made videos about, believe it or not. like if you look at every pedal video on my channel, that's 90% of the pedals i own.
Glad you caught those, but I don't consider it to have been a bold choice at all. Both of those songs are absolute stunners and in my opinion it would take balls to deny it. I'll take the compliment though, thanks rahzark.

Loved the Torn cover!
Your explanations of abstractions always make sense to me…lol..great job with the lossy..life’s a gamble
VERY glad to see your subs are UP! Excellent! One might say the sub count has advanced.
Also I really dig the flat white wall background during your dialogue sections.
i'm glad
