I built the Soviet Pe-2 earlier this year. They really are fun little kits. Especially for scratchbuilding extra detail. I ended up adding a simple interior, a coupe of pilots, and exhaust pipes for the engines.
Beautiful build, I have the Lancaster to build as well as Meng's Sherman Tank. Some time ago I built a Spitfire in this cartoon form, can't remember what brand it was but it's a great little kit.
Enjoyed it too. Really learn a something about painting every time I watch you. Received my new Bartsharp airbrush a few days ago, can't wait to use it.
What a cute LibEGGrator ^^ So cute that it´s tempting to hug it. And the washing and all that weathering effect makes it look so real, not just a cartoon parody of the real plane. Such an original build!
Amazing build, Alex, the riveting and that shading technique really puts this little Meng kit on another level...they are fun, as are the Tiger Models plane kits{they are almost the same) and Egg planes, but I like these (and the Meng tanks) because they fit together so well, like a Bandai kit....thanks for sharing and stay safe, buddy...
Great job on the Liberator Alex ! My favourite of the American Bombers . I have started building the deformed/ chibe / compact jets - very liberating , on my fourth now ...... Bet you can't build just one ! Wales UK. 💛💙

If they see you building something the kids can get interested. My nephew was intrigued when he saw my builds take shape and I got him a couple of quick builds. if you get him to work on it he will fall in love with his own handywork for sure.

Well to be honest i'm not a great fan of these meng egg modells.When i first saw the Scharnhorst in that size i was bursting out laughing.But this one looks really cool.But your are master modell builder.What ever you get into your fingers looks great in the end. It is a bit like Aretha Franklin.No matter what lyric you gave to her,in the end it had this magical spirit and soul....However.Cool😉👍
Alex says, at about 6 minutes, that his paint was took thick and that he later thinned it out properly and had no further problems... smooth flow and great results
I say it at the begginings of the vídeo.. my Paint was too thick and when i realizei that i thinned it a bit better... Even so the Airbrush performed flawless...
And no... It isn t right... Absolutly right for you to point that but i on my vídeos don t show only the good things... I AM not a pro... If i do something wrong or less well done is there also.. Cheers!

I am doing a boulton defiant night fighter so trying to get as much as possible from you by this funny toy :) can I ask you about the pressure when you painted withe chaotic shapes over the black base? And thinner ratio with the white. I am mumbling about 80% thinner over 20% paint and a pressure of 12/15 psi. What do you think about that plan?

I had a B-17 with 4 motors + solar power, I put it in my car...

Treated each part separatly... Clear coated it... X22. Then decaled, sealed again with x22 and then oil wash...

Yup bought 1 for my grandson to introduce him to model building. Sadly its still unbuilt in his room :(

Its a good plan.. i used a bit bigger oressure when i found out the Paint was not correctly thinned
