the thing that bugged me about the original duck, donald, & Douglas models was that they were missing their funnel. I was so happy that Wooden Railway fixed that.
Honestly, if I were running the TWR line in 2023, I'd give Duck a new model early that year. Same thing with Donald, Douglas, Oliver, and Toad. Why? Because I know they're who the fans want and who will sell well. It's much better than giving us practically nothing new. In fact, 2023 was the year I officially cut ties with Mattel because of their horrid mistreatment of Thomas and the fact that they didn't give the TWR line any new models other than the Day Out With Thomas model. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if they did it again in 2025, all the more reason why Orbrium deserves to have the Thomas license much more than Mattel does.

I never had any of the Thomas wooden models, I'm only familiar with the BRIO line.
