That's really interesting especially since I heard of a very similar case. The case I heard of, was described on a German radio show, about mysterious medical cases.

If I remember correctly, he also made a full recovery.
Hello Dr. Bernard, I love your content and I would love to see a video on ME/CFS as it has wrecked havoc on my life and went undiagnosed in me for over a decade after a mono infection in middle school with multiple doctors saying it could be depression, a vitamin deficiency, or any other number of causes with nobody listening to me when I said my constant exhaustion wasn't mental but it felt like my entire body was only charging up 25% while everyone else woke up with 100%.
I can only imagine that others like me have ended up doing desperate things to try to escape the constant haze of exhaustion and intermittent joint pain that hangs over every moment no matter how happy.
I understand your struggle, although my case is much more different. I'd feel exhausted even though I was in bed. I couldn't go to the gym anymore.
After a while, the problem magically went away. No idea what caused it but I'm putting my money on my depression meds.
Eat plenty of foods with fresh garlic, ginger, tumeric, black pepper and pineapple in (not necessarily all in the same meal obviously). They’re all anti viral or anti inflammatory. Exclude gluten and added sugar.
In my case it turned out it was Candida that had got out of control and become systemic while my immune system was weak from whatever virus triggered the cfs/pvfs. If you completely stop eating sugar/gluten/alcohol. You stop feeding it.
His videos revolve more around acute incidents than chronic conditions.
"-He'd eat a tube of denture cream instead."
I had to pause the video for a minute to take that in. wtf lol.
I had to hold my hand down, because my first impulse after hearing that was to slap him. The words he said were so incomprehensibly stupid, that the impulse occurred faster than my brain could process that I was watching a video.
I’m guessing something was mentally wrong with him based off his actions and logic. Like who even thinks of something like that?
Really burying the lede there. Like yeah, the gummi vitamins were probably the bulk of the problem, but then again, *he was eating tubes of denture cream.*
Thought zinc man would choke or his upper and lower teeth and lips would be glued together, problem solved or rather, lessened...kind of anyway.
I did exact same thing I pause the video just to let that he ate a tube of denture cream sink in

Easier if you're stupid because a little bit of knowledge is dangerous. He knew just enough to make himself sick so it would have been better if he were dumber.
@@bluenami7520 Well, also if he had a bit more knowledge he would have known it would be borderline stupid to do what he did. Being smarter would've also been beneficial.
@@CMADE Yep, touche!
Astronomer Geoff Marcy was talking about the potential to find intelligent life on other planets when he said "in 400 million years sharks have not gotten any smarter", illustrating the possibility that there may not be a survival benefit conferred by intelligence. Another documentary I watched claimed that sauropod brains actually got smaller over time because it was more advantageous to have long necks than large brains requiring lots of blood flow.
Then there is Satoshi Kanazawa who in his book "The Intelligence Paradox: Why the Intelligent Choice Isn't Always the Smart One" describes the disadvantages of intelligence. For instance smart people do well in studies, but not so well in relationships and consequently are less likely to reproduce.
He says, "Actually, less intelligent people are better at doing most things. In the ancestral environment general intelligence was helpful only for solving a handful of evolutionarily novel problems. General intelligence is very important in modern life because our environment is almost entirely evolutionarily novel. Most of the problems that we have to solve today-how to excel in school, how to find jobs, how to do virtually everything on a computer-are evolutionarily novel. So intelligent people do well in almost every sphere of modern life, except for the most important things, like how to find a mate, how to raise a child, how to make friends. Intelligence does not confer any advantage for solving all the evolutionarily familiar problems that our ancestors encountered. More intelligent people do not have any advantage in finding mates and often have disadvantages."
And we have Hemingway who said "Happiness in intelligent people is the rarest thing I know." Ignorance would seem to indeed be bliss.
It's an alternate perspective on things. Google "disadvantages of intelligence" for more.
Life is hard... it's even harder if you're smart.

I really feel for this dude. He developed a food addiction as a child, forcefully overcame that with surgery instead of diet or mental control (not saying surgery is easy, it isn't. It's extremely invasive and extremely hard afterwards. But it does force you to eat less) and after that, developed another addiction to these gummies. Eating TUBES of denture cream for the zinc? Just wild. So sad.
Why not just buy an ingot of zinc and lick on it? I bet a brick of solid zinc would be cheaper than those vitamins lol
Yea, should’ve gone to therapy instead
I'm genuinely surprised he didn't suffer complications after the surgery - at first you can only have liquids, for example. It's very easy to seriously hurt yourself if you don't address your food addiction as well.
@@rilmar2137That’s why the weight loss surgery tends to only offer a temporary solution. I’ve met people who eventually regained weight and over half had to repeat the surgery. It is successful only if the cause of the food addiction is addressed and not just the symptoms.

Its insane. Did so much nitrous once my entire nervous system was beginning to shrink... hurt to walk or even bend my neck in any way. B12 deficiency was the only cause... but man was it awful. Insane how badly a vitamin deficiency can reck the body.

I've officially taken zinc tablets and vitamin c twice a day now. I thought I was being efficient by taking both doses once a day but I learned quickly that you CANNOT AND MUST NOT do that. I noticed how sensitive my body became as the burst of energy my body couldn't handle at times.
It does? I take mine twice a day (but not every day, and not at once), and I don't feel anything bad, except maybe for tummy ache.
the burst of energy might be from the blood sugar spike from the sugar in the gummies rather than the vitamin c or zinc

CT was suffering from hypoglycemia. He needed sugar. He knew that in maples, there was maple syrup and in maple syrup there was sugar. So it should be a good idea to eat 2 maple trees, he thought ...
Yeah thats how pretty much his mental taught went lmao
Trees need soil to grow on and soil needs fertilzers, so he downed four bags of fertilizers.
Upon hearing that weeds also grow on soil and also that weeds leech off the nutrients in the soil, he drank seven bottles of weed killer.

Making vitamins into gummy candies was a mistake is what I've been learning from these videos.
Lol .. for sure .. it’s easy to chomp on them constantly

To be fair, the gummy part is good for people who may otherwise have trouble chewing the hard tablets. The candy part, however, is definitely a mistake.
Edit: When I wrote this comment, I didn't realize hard tablets you swallowed whole existed; I had only ever had ones you needed to chew.
