I feel like Amit had his storylines cut and that just sucks. He could’ve been involved in more things and storylines, like more involved with Goblins or even helping you understand the ancient magic.
I like Amit! He gives you a decent telescope for free. He shows up for you during that mission DESPITE being scared. And has your back throughout the mission. Admits he’s scared and is direct enough to say he won’t do it again lol. Is always polite, even when I saw him in Hogsmeade near the Hogs Head he said “nice to see you outside the castle” and my MC is like “it’s nice to see you too, Amit!” He’s a great friend. He knows what he likes and isn’t afraid to be himself which is amazing!
"Amit is studying for OWLs already, no wonder he doesn't have friends." Reminds me of Luna. Why are Ravenclaws always bullied for their eccentricity? So sad.
I must admit. I like umbrige more than Amit. He was so disappointing as a character and as a ravenclaw made me embarrassed when he was compared to the other students. Huge missed opportunity on a ravenclaw companion.
@@fever4598 where to start... His only quest, presents him as a coward compared to the others. Even if he does no combat at all. His only good for astronomy. Something even muggles are good at. His gobbledegook is terrible, there's other NPCs we meet with better gobbledegook. Making Amit a embarrassment to us for even recommending him. We should have asked Mr. Oaks. At least umbrage was a villain that did her job well.

Man, I wish Ravenclaw got better characters coz all of them were so lame and annoying. And I am really tired of Hollywood/America's stereotypical representation of Asian men, it's just getting really old and annoying at this point. Amit Thakkar and Gladwin Moon are not even actual characters, they are just a stereotype in a trope. They paid extra money to Asif Ali( Amit voice actor) to sound annoying and funny, like a scammer from a call centre. That's not the accent of Millions In South Asia, It's a trope. If Hollywood doesn't stop their agenda of "Desexualization of Asian men" coz of their FragileWhiteMaleMasculanity, then they should stop representing as all together, and anyways Asia has all their own Huge Entertainment Industries, eg Bollywood and K-pop, so if Hollywood doesn't do any kind of representation for us it would reply matter much.
