    I think "Flaws" may be the best idea they could have
    Having a perfect character is not interesting.
    On the other hand, having a flawed character that has to compensate something is compelling... like having issue with some type of magic can let you focus on having better agility (that can improve your body skills: melee, roll, etc) and vice-versa.
    Or choose on white magic will make you limited on dark magic, etc
    I would love a system like this 🔥

    2nd section
    Strategy
    It could be similar to Ghost Of Tsushima where we get to decide on the approach we take, for instance I waited for a mongol patrol to start crossing a bridge, once they reached the middle I rushed in launched kuni then used water the stance to quickly kill them & because they were so close together I took several down in seconds. For HL it wouldn’t just be stealth or wands blazing given there's a lot more room to work with because of magic.
    You could use a series of spells,imperio 1 enemy to fight their own & use Tarantallegra or Cantis to make another sing or dance, set a trap by turning an explosive barrel into a regular barrel & either throw or blow it up on unsuspecting enemies, use devil snare or the tentacula, use the body bind then duro to turn a foe to stone taking them right out the battle.
    Throw a potion that causes incineration or poison enemy drinks, animate a stone statue to attack foes. Use the anti apparation jinx to make sure foes can’t escape & if they do they fail & land in a heap. I’d also thought of an idea when NPC’S are about to report you for a crime there should be a symbol above their head indicating you need kill them or stun them so they can’t call back up or inform others, kind of like the just cause games.
    I like the idea of fortifying an area against enemy forces using protego diablica/Totalum etc & using pre smashed objects as weapons. Having enemy NPC raids would go a long way in showing their legitimate threats & vice versa if we done our own raids & their would be several layers to overcome.
    The stealth was poor in this game especially when the game goes against you or doesn’t encourage it when it should do both.
    AERIAL COMBAT
    I was annoyed to say the least that we couldn’t fight back while on broom, revelio’s great & all but being able to cast spells while flying would be even better. No elaborate wand movements & the choreography would have to be different slightly. In terms of how this would work they could take inspiration from flying games & see how to incorporate combat on broom & to see how smooth they could make it without it feeling jarring.
    Imagine being able to switch from broom to unsupported flight, dodge the killing curse while casting a curse of our own back before mounting our broom again similar to that slick combat scene from SOP: MC used flipendo & Levioso on 2 knights used swift then the disarming knights sword on before using OPPUGNO that later got switched to AM throw.
    SCALE
    Agree with this, it would also add several layers & provide a fresh slate for combat what if the ashwinders aren’t 1 trick ponies anymore what if they grab us like voldemort & try to smash us through buildings what if they use other forms of dark magic, potions plants beasts etc We should also encounter knights, gargoyles & other creatures, don’t let the knights from the trials be used only for those specific tasks use them for more dungeons that protect treasure etc.
    Trolls could tare through buildings & we’d have more objects to launch at them ( for those that didn’t learn the killing curse) our ability isn’t a guarantee to finish foes off either if you don’t have the highest tier applied to your clothing. Gargoyles could certainly fly off with us & take us to a location where hordes of foes lay waiting. & whoever the next antagonist is, be it Harlow someone new or both, have them attack us at random instead of them being barely in the game.
    As for your crazy ass bit*** in the wild comment lol encountering very dangerous beasts/creatures like a cerberus, vampire, werewolf, lethifolds, Dementors & host of other creatures would add to the looming threats that lurk the lands if your not careful. As to your chess board comment, you do fight a piece in Elden Ring, you fight a cat chess piece, so perhaps something like that in HL would be a fresh edition.
    Student duels is a must, the student body must be curious about us & must be none to pleased about us taking top spot in crossed wands, at least the ones that care about that club. I want this overhauled, Crossed Wands was a massive disappointment after the tutorials, it’s supposed to be constant not 3 pathetic tutorials.
    IMPROVED MECHANICS
    Especially when it comes to the RPG side of the game, some say there were light RPG mechanics sprinkled on but I say they were barely there if at all. Sleeping & sitting & not for Photo mode only… I don’t want to be on the go all of the time let me rest damn it!! ( resting could be a way for us to upgrade our character just lke elder scrolls oblivion) Certainly polish or extend systems that are already there so for instance
    Combat- The ashwinders bring up shields while casting & I noticed they charge up their blasting curses with their shields up, so should we especially if we’re going to charge spells, no elaborate wand movements, hold down a button then release & watch your charged spell wreck havoc. I think basic cast should be changed to a stinging jinx ( basic cast is a weird name to give it where as it should have been called a stinging jinx, I also thought it was the stunning spell in the SOP)
    & after so many casts you could launch several in a row in a big burst. Glacious & incendio could be cast multiple times but let the players be responsible for that change to happen so Glacious then swat foes with snowballs or ice balls & ice spears followed by ice shards which you could launch, same with incendio ( please make incendio have a further reach with a constant stream of fire) I love the shockwave idea, I’d love to use what voldemort used to smash glass with that concentrated shockwave & direct the glass to shred foes.
    I would love a greater series of elemental spells that isn’t just fire & lightning. Water, earth & wind. They should each have their own category. Fire spells such as the other tiers to incendio duo,tria & Maxima. Lacarnum inflamaray, the fire column, firestorm & Fiendfyre. Lightning spells like a bolt ( bombarda looks like a lightning bolt),then an arc, localised lightning bolts.
    What about a lightning version of the fire column or a water version? Water spells like the orb of water, water blast, water whip, wind like ventus or a gale force or something that slices an enemy to shreds, wind could also enhance fire spells where as lighting could enhance water spells.
    Earth could be about defence as well as offence, wrap enemies in vines, enclose them in a earth tomb, use boulders to smash them or barrage them with rocks. Use rock walls to defend against stronger attacks like the killing curse & use broke pieces of the defence as shrapnel to attack with.
    Yes AM & dark magic should have their own skill trees & be colour coordinated. Protegos should be upgraded, Protego horrobilis guard against more volatile curses. I Think we should get to upgrade the colour of our shield to different colours there for blocking/deflecting control & damage spells but really advanced enemy spells would have to be dodged.
    I like idea of melee combat or adding a dagger or sword..question is how to implement it, could be a conjured sword or dagger like the elder scrolls though it would be interesting to see some form of melee combat that adds to combat overall.
    MORALITY
    While I can see there would be many problems getting this to work, you could have morality work differently for story & gameplay. Through story it would be through choices/our reactions & their would be several dialogue options to reflect this. For gameplay it’s a matter of WHAT we do & witnesses, who sees us literally doing the crime, the game shouldn’t automatically hit you with a penalty just because you casted confringo on a torch to light it up or even on an enemy like the ashwinders. Penalties could be given within hogwarts itself, & don’t stack them on when we come back to the castle, penalties don’t count out with the castle.
    If NPC’S see us stealing something or killing an innocent or casting an unforgiveable then I can see them informing the faculty or local authorities ( but again depends, what if we’re casting a curse on a poacher who’s attacking civillians or beasts? It would be utterly stupid of them berating us when we literally saved their ass) I think the populace should at certain points ignore we casted curses but perhaps remain suspicious/cautious.

      Cuz in Elden Ring for example sometimes you have these encounters that work pretty much like a real player that invades your world, and they have all kinds of moves, they hill themselves, they dodge like we do, it’s awesome!

    Some ideas:
    - About the different builds, I would like to add something apart from the different wand cores, I personally dislike a bit that our character is a 10 in almost all Hogwarts subjects, so it would be great if during the character customization we could select certain D&D-like skills that allow our character to be skilled in certain things and not in others, with this we could give ways to fight, skills and exclusive spells depending on the specialties of our wizard, for example using magical plants and beasts in combat would be reserved for the best herbologists and magizoologists respectively. To compensate for the weaknesses of our character it would be important to relate to other characters that complement us (Maybe Sebastian Sallow specialized in Dark Arts, Garreth Weasley in Potions etc)
    I think that if done correctly it could give a great level of replayability.
    - Wouldn't it be amazing to have the chocolate frog cards as a collectible again? And if possible, they could take inspiration from the Harry Potter RPG games for Gameboy Color/Advance and have a certain combination of these cards allow us to perform special summons that serve as attacks (It would be a bit of a departure from the lore but it would be great)

      @@Neiizan I love this and totally agree!! Cuz not every student is a Swiss army witch or wizard, some lean to one study or the other. Harry couldn’t give a crap about potions until year 6 for example..
      And I’d love the addition of cards and bring back the BEANS! 🫘

    I have a few ideas for the new game
    So at the start you choose your house and then you choose Which ending you picked if you choose evil you go down a death eater path but if you chose good ending you keep going with the other stuff they should add Morsmordre as a spell for the death eater path for easier travel and they should allow us to be sent to Azkaban if we k!ll a student or something they should also have an online mode and a story mode we should have a curfew as well and if we are travelling around the school at night we should have a threat like peeves and the caretaker and if we get caught we be sent back to the common room they should also add immbolus sectemsentra those two spells would be really good they should also add diagon alley as a place we can go and we should be able to go in the train to get there

      @@MrFresh60000 I like the idea of curfew, but with that I’d still want to have a quick way/option to go around that.. like have a few secret passageways that lead outside the castle that I could take instead of trying to sneak past the prefects. But overall having that challenge could be interesting

    Although a mod does this, a compaion system in H2 would be cool to have an optional compaion. Additional classes which if taken boost certain stats or unlocks new potions or spell combos as an incentive maybe even ability for us to learn to be an anamagous somehow or have that as a separate feature on player startup. Would also like them to keep things like crossed wands duelling or summoner's court after those side quests are technically done, they are fun and would be nice to have more player immersion or competing against different students with different styles.

    Making stealth a viable tree would be good, being able to cast spells with a soft lock system while on a broom would be great, OH YOU KNOW WHEN YOUR WAND CONNECTS in a duel 12:25 I’d love more of those to happen naturally in the world against enemies, or add a dullest enemy type where we can have those little magic wand connections again. Also seeing we have ancient magic, we should be able to fly in black smoke like Voldemort or white smoke depending on our morality.
    We need more wand variety, the devs locking all the handles in chest around the world was awful.
    Spell crafting should be lore accurate, seeing how difficult and dangerous it is would be awesome.
    I’d love to see stink pellets, dung bombs etc that we can buy from the joke shop in hogsmeade just like we were able to buy joke items from Fred and George in Harry Potter and the sorcerer stone and the chamber of secrets games.
    13:58 when you discuss charging up spells this would be good with the spell crafting where we could use MAXIMA onto whatever spell we are using to increase its intensity and power behind it while staying lore accurate.
    Morality is a huge, they need to get this right because it’ll make replay-ability of the game. They need to make it lore accurate to where you skin gets pale your eyes become sunken with dark bags under your eyes. Let’s say you go so far into dark magic and learn all of it and use it all the time and could make you even darker. Let’s say you need information out of someone out of a quest and there’s an option in the menu for cruccio if you know the spell to use in dialogue to get the answer you desire and this would make your appeared change and also make people act differently towards you. If you go too far I want my hair to thin and fall out and become bald. Similar to how fable did it if you’re too evil. But you could always have a balance and be like professor Snape where you use dark magic but don’t go so crazy where you split your soul 7 times like Voldemort did. Then you could be dark and still be balanced to where you look evil but not Voldemort level of evil. Or even give us that option to be Voldemort levels of evil, would be fun as hell to ROLEPLAY as a young Tom Riddle.
    On thing extra they should add in character creation is Harry Potter features to make our character, such as emerald green eyes and the scar on the forehead and his glasses so we can also roleplay as potter in the game too.

    I’ve been thinking about this for a long time. “Melee” being a set of short range prank spells, magical beast helpers popping out, and some of the plants. Have it kinda like Kingdom Hearts where you can equip combo modifiers. Can even interweave it with other parts of the game. Prank spells open new options in dialogue sections and classes. Taking care of magical beast and their attack gets better. Vertical combat will be key. Maybe not quite like movement shooters but definitely draw from that.

    Regarding melee combat, since you brought it up, it could be cool if each house had its own weapon, released towards the end of the game, to be used once in battle as a "special ability."
    For example, if you were a Gryffindor, as soon as you got the sword, you could use it as a finisher for enemies that take a lot of life from them, but it can only be used once per battle, as it recharges slowly.

    Biggest issue I had with HL is the re-playability, or lack there of. I've completed the game once and I simply wasn't drawn to play it again....hope they do something about this with the sequel

    Adding high-level spells would be awesome. I can't name any, but the spells we know by heart should increase as well as the ancient magic should go bigger for the year of Hogwarts.

    I for one, would prefer FEWER enemies at a time, but who would be stronger and do more varied stuff. I mean, it's very illogical that a 15 year old who is NOT experienced at all with magic would do well against 12 enemies at a time. Instead of just shoot, shoot, shoot, enemies should use the environment, cure themselves, use creatures and curses, and the gameplay would be A LOT more interesting for me than just killing 10 wizards who all fight like the same. Maybe even fighting THREE at the same time would be so risky that you would have to use strategy and your own creatures to have an edge, for example

    I think a simple and overlooked mechanic that would give a little more depth to the sequel would be minigames. Kinda like in The Order of the Phoenix game where you could play chess, gobstones and a couple other minigames and climb the ranks with each win.
    Would also be nice to have more secrets around Hogwarts and perhaps even wizard cards you can collect.

    I think some new spells for Hogwarts Legacy. for 2 Would be great.
    the Firestorm charm aguamenti the Firestorm the Firestorm s Charm (Expecto Patronum The player character wanders through a sleepy hamlet in Hogwarts Legacy, perhaps wondering what spell combos they're going to use. The best spells in Hogwarts Legacy are Avada Kedavra, Confringo, Imperio, Crucio, Depulso, Flipendo, Diffindo, Accio, Descendo, and Transfiguration
    I think mixing different spells together will make it stronger.Adding new spells from different Harry Potter all the way to magical piece would be great.Adding new spells from different Harry Potter all the way to magical piece would be great.
    I think the storyline should be more darker with Sebastian. Story contain I think the darker spells should be made stronger. Storyline more darker with sellers are slithered in it. Make the beasts more stronger.

    Ancient magic could be developed to where we choose specific spells, making strategies with it more important. That gamechanger is a logical progression that we would expect. Before hogwarts Harry Potter did random things and wizard school, he learned to do specific things. But how would our character learn and from who? The keepers? In the map chamber?

    De-gnoming the Hogwarts green house and the hamlets are must-have side quests for the sequel. I’ll sign the petition. Or maybe we can capture them and release them to destroy enemy plants put up in front of enemy fortifications. Some crazy ideas. Excellent video!

    The combat was already good in terms of the feel of the player, so adding more bells and whistles like more spells (while fun, and they should), won't diversify the sequel or the PCs skill progression in a meaningful way. What the game needs to focus on is more enemy strategies and types to counter. So like stealth enemies, or weaponized creatures that have certain counters and resistances, things or creatures that nullify certain magics that have to be dealt with by the right spells, invisible enemies that need to be revealed before they get harsh stealth hits on you, enemies that are invulnerable unless you lob the right potion or counterspell at them, maybe for both enemies and players ritual/concentration type spells that your character has to sustain or cast over a longer cast time but that have devastating effects if they aren't interrupted, beast or construct enemies who have weakpoints you need to hit with a ritual blade or sickle...

    Now that I think about silly pranks and spell might be a nice way to finish off enemies you can disable them in a way that they are not able to fight anymore therefore not an evil way of defeating an enemy and that work for the morality of the combat system

    "I think it would be amazing if Avalanche could develop a Hogwarts Legacy game with a Souls-like experience, similar to Elden Ring-imagine facing bizarre bosses or powerful wizards as epic encounters. However, it seems they're bound by contracts that limit their creativity to what's in the books or movie cameos. If the Harry Potter franchise were more open to new ideas, developers could create an entirely new wizarding world, but that’s a different story. If J.K. Rowling or Warner Bros. are holding back, maybe they're planning something even bigger down the line."

      And I think from now on they won’t be holding back. The lore is already rich and with that the developers have already taken risks/liberties to tell new stories. And people didn’t care that it wasn’t JK.. so from now on I think they will be even more ambitious and creative - which is exactly what I wanna see.

    WHy does no-one talk about the protego to stupefy combo, I want more of this style of development. Like increndio and then some other combo required to create the fire tornado etc. for me, the protego to stupefy combo already in game gave me so much pleasure and I want more of it. LOTR the Return of the King video game was a great example of combos creating unique moves. It also had really noticeable and valuable upgrades.

    I think Melee should be implemented minorly as punch or kick if enemy is too close but other than that it should majorly be just spell casting as it is a harry potter game and its speciality

    Guys i got ideas:
    -"Press R3-L3"
    Ok, it's not an original idea but hear me out...
    What if this ability is based on our house, for example we do a side quest unique to the house we are in and by the end we earn this ability.
    If you are from gryffindor you summon the gryffindor Sword and can melee attack like the Blade of Olympus in GOW Ragnarok combined with your wand.
    In Slytherin Ominis teaches you parseltongue and you summon the basilisk, and controls him with ancient magic(you just control him like your character)
    Ravenclaw you use the diadem and your spells have no cooldown.(i ran out of creativity).
    In Hufflepuff you gain acesso to the goblet and when you drink, it makes you basically imortal, with an absurd heatlh regen.
    -Second idea:
    -quest to become the master of death and find the real deathly hallows.
    -Third idea:
    A quest to become immortal, a good side and dark side. In the good side your phoenix whenever you take a fatal blow she intervenes and tank it for you, or revive you with her tears and enters cooldown for a period.
    And the bad side obviuslly horcruxes and you can't be killed in any way but every once in a while you are notified that someone is seeking your horcrux and you got to kill him like Assassin's creed Odyssey's mercenaries.
    -last idea:
    Wand less combat, this ability enables you to use two spells at the same time, like dual wielding.
    For exemple: use protego like a forcefield while casting other spells.
    When desarmed by expelliarmus use accio to summon back your wand.

    Room of requirement spells should have its own slot when in the room or it automatically take out spells when you walk in the room and puts it back when you leave the room

    I want Petrificus Totalus & Stupefy to be more prominent spells
    Stupefy is a badass spell and deserves more than being only a counter based spell
    Petrificus Totalus may be an OP, one shot and done kind of spell
    But it’s my favourite and I did a quiz and found out it’s my signature spell. Petrificus Totalus deserves to be more than a stealth based spell
    Let’s keep these features from the previous game for both spells, and also make them proper duelling spells some how
    Perhaps you can favour which counter spell and which stealth spell you’d want equipped
    As we only get a limited number of spell wheels

    What about the fact that we always have to change our spells because we don’t have enough space . We could add more space for spells so we don’t have to change it all the time. The same thing with clothes, because there might be some cool robes we want to wear but don’t have space. Maybe they could add a cupboard in our common room for us to put our clothes in. What do u think?

    First of all excellant video Ben lots of great ideas! & I appreciate the length of the video I’m going to separate my comment in to 2 instead.
    SPELLS
    There definitely needs to be more spells, I have a book that lists 256 spells ( this is a combinantion from the books, games & movies combined) not every spell needs to have 100 other uses, but add more variety to what that spells can do for instance we know incendio can light foes on fire as well as set torches alight. What about seting up our own small tent which means setting up our own fire? Would be very easy to do given there's enemy camps. Here's a better example Glacious use it not only to freeze foes, but to freeze the ground & trip them, use a variation to cast & launch ice shard projectiles or your idea with engorgio & glacious then thump foes with giant ice balls. As for a cuttting curse this is where the devs can get creative how about finding a dark cutting curse in the LARGELY not used restricted section or a chest inside a cave.
    I would really like to have Fiend Fyre, The patronus charm, Reducto/Expulso & the NPC'S spells like fire column being learnable & useable by us. I also want the visuals of Reducto & Expulso to be devastating just like the 2018 trailer of the curse destroying a door, don't dumb down the spells if no blood then have them turned in to dust. Greater depth must also be given to Ancient Magic. No Excuses.
    ENEMIES
    Add a far greater variety such as Vampires, Werewolfs, Dementors, Lethifolds, Banshees, Boggarts etc HL had an overabundance of spiders there should have been no where near that many.
    Not only do I want more variety of foes, but I want them to have a much more wider arsenal of spells or attack patterns " But it would make it too hard!!" Good give me a challenge! For those that don't like that add in a option for frequency of spells that can be casted by foes...their dark wizard & witches FFS stop restricting them to literally 2 spells!!!
    & for the love of god have them cast crucio & Avada kedavra on us, I was expecting them to use 2 or 3 of these curses on us especially with the number of their allies we take out or when we reach a certain level, you'd think they'd lose their sh** & start blasting us!! ( Yes I'm also aware when theirs a greater number of them it can make it difficult, but thats only due to number)
    Also make the ashwinders or other groups more dangerous STOP WITH THE HEARSAY OF THIER MISDEEDS! I want to see why their feared stop telling me & SHOW ME, let me see raids on shops & homes have the ashwinders killing NPC'S, centaurs, spiders & trolls too stop making them look like chumps & have them apparate to get away!! I wouldn't mind those knights from the trials to be in more caves/dungeons it feels stupid their not used more in defending cave loot.
    Don't make the ashwinders one trick ponies, their several decades older than us have them use a wider variety & other dark magic techniques.
    BUILDS
    Not sure about the wand cores but I get it does make sense each would have their strenths & Weaknesses I like the idea of experimenting with wand cores perhaps Ollivander could have us test his creations ...in a safe location of course. Builds to me are more about what are you primarily going to work with, A charms/dark arts/Potions build? Plants/Transfiguration/ Charms/Enchantments? etc are you offensive, defensive or a mixture of both or do you incorporate pranks giving you another layer to work with? for some
    WEPONISING BEASTS
    I'd say we could do this with some beasts not all of them as many would fear their pets or beasts would become casualties * If the devs went that far* You could have beasts be in different catergories, Your tanks would be Graphorns, cerberuses ( & possibly even trolls if you can control them long enough)
    your speed could be cornish pixies, Hypogriffs, some birds.
    Your aerials could be Hypogriffs, thestrals , *Dragons* & owls * but I don't think any of us want another hedwig case* Or a Phoenix
    You could have your aqutic creatures but that would only work in water terrain ( & that's yet to be introduced)
    Stealth could be Kneazels, Nifflers & Bowtruckles they would have limited combat capabilities ( Honestly thought Nifflers would have been used to sniff out treasure for us)
    * I did think about breeding & using a basilisk, but there’s so many ways that could go wrong, still a fun idea though*
    UNIQENESS
    Discovering new abilities & combinations of spells, plants, potions & AM etc without the game telling us would add I think a greater depth of surprise & mystery in the sense it would make it feel natural instead of the game pointing us in the direction, especially if you discover an ability mid combat by accident or discover a lost spell tomb, potion, magical artifact or page in a cave/dungeon. Unlocking specific animations for an ability & effects would be great & I wouldn’t want this to be random either, once the animation/effect is shown, that’s it unlocked for good.
    I love your idea about indirect spell crafting & combining spells that would definitely raise combat prospects & make it more fun over all. You could say destroy a wooden carriage/fence with Bombarda, gather the broken pieces with accio, use the transform spell to shape them in to knives or something sharp then use either the Ancient magic throw or Oppugno to launch the debris at enemies.
    Grab a stone with accio use depulso then use engorgio to scale it into a boulder mid air & watch it flatten an enemy. I do know that when a poacher stalker was in the midst of charging confringo you could use Glacious & that would destroy them.
    Random visual effects occurring under specific circumstances would be a great addition, I would love to use depulso to banish the duelists reducto back at her, I did try this but It failed, having spells clashing would be cool so long as it’s not overused like the movies did it, I’d love to be able to knock spells away mid air with another spell like protecting other NPC’S/ our friends. Spell clashing/Priori incantatem because of brother wands can happen but it should be rare & not just because of the lightshow.
    Prank spells such as Anteoculatia * victims head turns in to antlers* Tarantallegra * makes the victim dance uncontrollably* mixed in with cantis which forces the victim to sing uncontrolably. The Pumpkin spell would be funny & could cause temporary distraction.

      First of all, what is that book? I want it. And honestly wasn’t aware that there are that many spells..
      I absolutely agree about the discovery part. I don’t want to have too many icons on the map revealing the things that I should be actually discovering. Rather have certain landmarks and npcs pointing into a certain direction or have some “traces of magic” any magic give us clues to the fact that “ooo there might be something over there..” basically capture our curiosity by capturing our curiosity, not just spilling all the beans right away. Maybe there could be an option at the beginning where we choose a level of exploration difficulty.
      And I totally agree, those are grown ass adults who ideally should be stronger and smarter than a 15 year old..

      As for the book, it's called All 256
      HARRY POTTER SPELLS by Michael Fry & Rowling Stephens ( the photo looks like that moment Harry gets sucked in to Riddles diary) I've been using it for my own HL fiction, very useful.
      Yes the discovery part should be based on other NPCs 👉 in the general direction of where something could be & the rest is up to us, casting revelio could add to this as we personally discover a lost cave that has perhaps a lost artifact,spell tomb or a page from a spell book or something to do with history about a witch, wizard or location etc
      Yes it was really annoying to me how little variation enemy attacks had, it was either between 1-2 spells or maximum 3 ( this was mainly the ashwinders) or they'd turn in to a dog or raise inferi or have AOE blast attacks, fire column, lightning bolts. I think they should cast 2 of the 3 curses on us a it would demonstrate they're not afraid to end us, they nake it clear there not afraid of killing children, why hold back on us? We're not potter.

    what we should be allowed to do is the same type of spells in magic awaken where you summon creature to fight with you. and then the ability to bring in friend like may be in a same system? more slot for decks 4 spell in one deck I felt we should have 6 or 8 spells in one deck.

    I want a really impressive fiendfyre.
    Also maybe you could choose between different class of magic to use when you create your character, which would give you different spells and talent tree? Like at the start you chose to create a character who specialize in charm, herbology or potions and it changes how you fight?
    Hell, if we're really ambitious, you could even a 'duelist' specialization that let you fight with a sword like Godric apparently did.
    Since you mentioned Patronums, it would be great if we could also become an Animagus and use that in battle.
    Finally, while I have no issue with morality in the game, I am against it punishing me just for using certain spells. There's no reason I should take a morality hit for killing someone with Avada Kedavra rather than Incendio.

    Oh gosh.. this video is so full of potential feedback. Lots of great ideas. I don't want to write a book as a reply, so let me attempt to be condense: needed more player character slots. We currently max out at four. If the game offers more customization (wand influences spells, more spells, etc) then we really need much more than four player slots. And with hard drives being so inexpensive these days, why max out at four? Make the maximum number of player character slots much larger.
    Melee weapons are a great idea. Let's have some standard weapons. HL2 can also have the ability to enhance the weapons like we can already for clothing. It would be nice for other vendors to be able to incorporate magical ingredients into the weapons like we can with a wand. A sword with unicorn hair, a shield with Graphorn hide, etc. New objects could be found out in the wild, such as dragon scales, dragon egg shells, both potentially found in a dragon nest, and the scales potentially in the areas where dragons are often seen, such as when they are hunting for cows.
    In the 1890's muggles have certain weapons that could be useful to wizards when enhanced with magic, such as a magic bullet which could be purchased at a new vendor somewhere in Hogsmeade. How about add a magical blacksmith in Hogsmeade too who can forge custom weapons with our magical ingredients and moonstone. All of this also begs for new classes at Hogwarts that could enable our players to learn new skills. Traits can be unlocked by taking classes. In HL 1 we can unlock traits for stealth, traits for the plants, traits for basic spells, etc. These traits and new ones could be unlocked at school instead. Attend extra classes with the professors an X number of times to unlock new traits for those skills. This will keep the players returning to the classrooms and spend more time at Hogwarts. Many HL reviews on RUclips do complain there's not enough at Hogwarts to keep players in Hogwarts. That at a certain point players end up spending more time outside of Hogwarts than within. So a system that focuses on traits and then to enhance those traits. This can help satisfy those players who desire a more immersive learning environment.
    Elective classes. HL not only appeals to the classic RPG player personalities (explorer, socializer, Player Killer (PvP/player-verses-player)) but also to the immersive player who wants to live in this world. These players don't want the game to end, ever. Another layer of immersion and with classes are things like elective classes. We have them in the real world, Hogwarts can also have them. An example is wand maintenance. In HL currently there is a room filled with wand components. You can imagine an upper level student -- a graduate student for example -- can learn how to craft his/her own wand. At our undergraduate level we could learn basic wand care. This also implies a mechanic that our wand, as well as our clothing, can suffer wear and tear and should be cared for. Other elective classes for clothing maintenance could be done. After thinking of all these ideas maybe HL2 should have the basic story, normal, and hard modes, and also immersive mode.
    I'm going to stop here, but there is a lot more potential for HL and HL2 than simply being a typical game with score and points. One thing that really separates HL from any other game out there except a very few, is the level of immersion of the serious fan. I, myself, don't want the game to ever end. If I could "live within" the HL gaming world I would. Enhance aspects of the game, of NPC interaction, and just-in-time environment generation with A.I. Imagine talking to any NPC dynamically on any game related topic with an A.I chat? Also a VR version should seriously be considered. And I am really serious here. There's a mod that does enable VR, and there's videos here on RUclips that show VR as recent as just a few months ago. HL2 should not be considered as merely a game, but as a platform that can truly offer a phenomenal immersion experience that captures a paying audience -- not through a subscription, but through immersion.

    Meele combat would work in quick time events situations in which both wizards are wandless or when we are fighting against enraged beasts. It would make the game more epic and visceral. Killing the enemy with fists and weapons doesn’t make sense for a HP game, but we could use a rock or dodge and crawl to the wand before a dragon burns us alive. I think this type of thing should be in Hogwarts Legacy

      David Yates tried to make things more intense in the movies. I don’t like the whole sequence, but when Harry and Voldemort crawl for their respective wands in the DH 2 movie it’s a good example too. It creates suspense.

    Enemies should still mostly stick to particular spells because this adds variety. If all of them can cast multiple spells, there's no real variety in the wizard/witch enemies. Though I agree that all should be able to perform basic cast along with their particular spell.
    And I just really hope I get to continue as the character I created. It'd be depressing to leave behind the people my character has made relationships with and the spot my first character has taken in the wizarding world.

    I hope they have the game set in more modern times but we experience the Voldemort era within Ilvermorny. Maybe hear snippets of the progress of Harry and the the gang in the American version of the daily prophet. Maybe America is afraid that Voldemort will come to the USA or other criminals will be inspired. It would really give them an opportunity to build Ivermorny and deepen the wizarding lore without stepping on Harry’s legacy.

    If you’re wanting to have raids in there to the combat , then um………
    It really shouldn’t be like how ya have said , but raids really should be more into the combat.
    Like how they have done in Sword and Shield , and also from in Scarlet and Violet.
    It should be like that but it should be more like um……….
    Like whoever is from Gryffindor or any of the houses that were in , then we should be able to make our own magic.
    But yes we should have some of that stuff from what you said.
    But we all should have our own magic that we make , but along with the element that’s from our houses.
    But also to be able to identify the magical creatures.
    So we can either to destroy them in duels , or to bring them back to a certain place , and to place them in a place like where they can live on.
    Like if they are wanted for doing something wrong.

      It really should be really easy to gain that element from that other house.
      Cuz it should come with the traits that we get from those houses.
      Oh and here’s an idea for us Slytherins.
      We really should be the only ones to be able , to gain access to get into other houses and to mess it up from in the insides.
      But we should leave a message to them , to get them feuding with other houses just to get them going.
      But it should get us more points to getting our house cup.
      But we really should be feared from every house.
      But if we get something from the NPC’s we really , should be able to interact to it and to use it for our own purposes.

    I think it would be cool if we could use a ps5 camera to be able to scan your face so the game can try and recreate your face on your character, it doesnt have to be perfect just good enough so you can see a resemblance or maybe its just me😂

      @mariussantos94 I did not appreciate the restrictions on our inventory at all. I was saying this to a friend how it is so utterly stupid placing such limits on our inventory given we're in the magical world so it makes absolutely no sense unlocking more slots & comes off as a complete pain. & why are we not afforded our very own chest? Just wtf devs?
      That is one of the most basic basic RPG items that was bizarrely absent, give us our own chest FFs & wardrobe/ mannequins too * though this a small detail*
      I expected to be able to use mannequins for our clothing but we get none. I know we can on in to our menu & select an outfit that way, but I would have liked to go to a wardrobe or even use the one in our dorms or ROR.

    Am I the only one who found the forbidden forest extremely underwhelming, I crush that area in less than an hr and aside from the spider caves there was nothing to do there… I had a blast exploring the castle but out in the open world I had no desire to keep exploring after a while. I feel they could’ve use the bottom right part of the map area, move it to the top left and made that the forbidden forest. Also the “vaults” were a useless filler for exploring bc they were just caves with the exact layout… sometimes with a nice puzzle at the end to get the loot and sometimes it was just a cave with a chest at the end

      @@javiercastrejon8102 I like the forbidden Forest esthetic and some spookiness to it, but they can crank it up by a ton. Same thing goes for the rest of the open world. And I totally agree about the caves.. some are cool with little puzzles, but 80% of them have just a chest.
      Like when I’d discover a new cave I’d have that cool feeling of “ooo I found something, let’s explore that” but then get instantly disappointed cuz that cave is short and empty.

    Red dead redemption exploring and interactions. Also morrowind custom spell/potion crafting. I'm oke with singleplayer but this IP screams for a multiplayer universe like fallout 76. Making your own base where ever you want.

    I need the writing to be better; like way better. The villains were boring. The story at times nonsensical. Lonely due to lack of companions and poorly done/shallow companion stories. Your house choice needs to matter. Your character also needs to be more defined. I’m glad Fig got killed though. He was boring as heck.
    Finally: no multiplayer, no microtransactions, no looter shooter crap, no loot boxes, no mmo-lite crap

      I agree with mostly everything you said. I do think loot boxes are very repetitive, but I'm fine if the items in them were more "magical", you know, maybe some would be just clothes and potion ingredients and books and stuff, but some should be items that are actually inspired in the wizarding world (there are almost NO quidditch teams stuff, no clothes inspired in creatures from the wizarding world or its lore... Anyway, I think it would be great to loot a coat that has a magical effect like deflects a certain kind of spell, or gloves that increase plants properties or something
