Hello Folks! Just wanted to make a wee statement regarding this video, and the previous video where I listened to Jake when he identified as Charice. Now there have been some lovely comments on my last video embracing Jake for the choices he’s made for himself, there have been some who have expressed almost a mourning for Charice, which is understandable, but there have also been some pretty horrible comments, degrading Jake and showing a complete lack of empathy for what Jake is, a human being with a rich and complex life. Whatever side of the fence you sit on regarding Transitioning, I think it should be a universal that we are kind and empathetic to peoples struggles. You don’t know what’s best for any individual, they do, so if someone has decided that the only way for them to find peace is to make the outside reflect how they feel on the inside, then I say crack on. As long as you are fully aware of what that entails, and have made your mind up, I will not stand in the way of anyone’s happiness, be that in person or via what I say online. The words we put out into the world carry real weight, and can have real consequences, so please; you don’t have to agree, you don’t have to like and support anything you wouldn’t personally want for yourself, but we can at the very least not bash people for merely existing. I’d rather have a happy Jake on this earth, than potentially have a miserable Charice leave earth because there was no other option for her. Thanks for coming to my TedTalk. x
The points is she destroyed her God gift voice to shrek voice now. He can act wear like a man but removing his natural voice sucks no wonder his not that famous anymore
Enigma 501 with the greatest of respect, that is absolutely not the point. Read what I wrote again, and really try and get to the core of what I’m saying. Jake/Charice is not a product that can “spoil”, and he doesn’t belong to anyone. Let the person live and be happy, it’s cost absolutely nothing to be kind, and it makes us healthier and live longer, win win!

I’m very happy that you addressed the people who leave terrible comments about Jake. He’s so much happier, and you can see it in his performances. Even if his voice isn’t as unique as Charice’s, but it doesn’t matter. He’s happy, so I am happy for Jake. Thank you for this video!
imagine how much training jake did just to be able to get back on that level of singing. i think when you transition it kind of ruin your vocal a little so you need to get on training your voice again. reaching notes and all literally going back to basics. the voice got some difference but the ability to sing very well never changed. I as someone who cant reach charice notes jakes notes are more reachable for me HAHAH
I do miss when she was Charice mostly because of her stellar vocal abilities. Now that he identifies as Jake I'm sad only for the sacrifice in vocal ability but happy for the new found freedom to be who he wants to be.
To be honest, I like his voice now..maybe most of them are disappointed with his voice but I like his voice..I don't know maybe as a amateur metal rock song cover, I have a dream of having male voice..
The talent, the voice is still there. I love her no matter what. I am praying that she may be surrounded by people who know how-to guide, love, and care for her.

I have nothing but love and respect for Charice/Jake. However, I'm concerned about the high 37% suicide rates among the transgenders compared to 2%-3% suicide rates of their straight counterparts. I wish we all show them compassion, kindness, love and understanding to lighten their burden and struggle. Life is challenging enough even without being judged, mocked, bashed or criticized. Let's all be mindful that we have no right to be mean or be judgemental.

I'd like him to sing 'the nearness of you', that song blew me away when she, Nora Jones, released it. Hoagy Carmichael, with the lyrics of Ned Washington, wrote it 1938 though it wasn't released in that year, that came in 1940. Ah well, one can hope...

She/He can still sing and in my opinion the tonal quality changed. I don't know if it was the hormones he's taking or he just wants to be manly in projecting his voice.
Many Filipino people don't like her as Jake and refuse to listen to him. They tend to be very conservative and are traditionalists in the Philippines. So they don't believe in sex changes. Although,they dont mind the very feminine gay men in the Philippines. A bit of a double standard but that's the Philippines for you. Such good people though.

I agree with your views for the most part. However, I don't understand the use of the male pronoun he. Why would you pretend that Jake is a he? Charice/Jake said it herself, she was born biologically a woman. It's obvious that we cannot magically change our gender just by thinking that she is a male. If that's the case, if I thought that I was a cow, does it make me a cow? If I thought that I was a 4 year old child, does it make me a 4 year old child? There is such thing called TRUTH. Why can't we just be truthful and be honest. Just because we think we are, doesn't necessarily make us so. Otherwise, we will be living in a carnival or in a intergalactic freak show that anybody could claim they are somebody they are not. So, I think I am the president of the USA, therefore you must call me President Trump or I think I am the president of the Philippines, therefore you must call me President Duterte. You get my point? There are things we can NEVER change like our race, age and gender. Even if one had a sex changed, like Jake, her DNA will always be 100% pure female. Katelyn Jenner's DNA will always be 100% male. God made us and we are powerless to change His wishes for us. And NO, I'm not hateful. I'm just being truthful. And furthermore, TRUTH DO NOT CARE ABOUT OUR FEELINGS❤🙏
I believe Jake agrees with you too. Charice was a very special amazing singer. Must be the reason he changed his name to Jake to preserve the works and art of Charice.
