Nice to hear some positivity about 5 POA, I enjoy them as well. The only thing that surprises me is that they've got Retro already, so maybe they have sales data that shows kids aren't interested in the Kenner aesthetic, hence the return of this universal movie style line? The basic Epic line figures are $9.99 USD, which makes me wonder - if they dropped the price of Retro, would that have made them more appealing to kids and other consumer groups, and there wouldn't have been a need to offer something new to younger fans? I'll be interested to see how they do - hopefully kids get back into 3.75 Star Wars figures!

Wow I always wanted the C3-PO one back when I was a kid. All I have is Obi Wan, his knee went out but looks amazing still. Also his weird yellow lightsaber is lost :( Is it even worth anything?
I quite like this scale -- it gives me warm fuzzy memories of the original 12 by Kenner. I think the character selection makes sense for what these should be aiming for -- I would like to see them build these out with more classic characters -- I'm a sucker for a 5POA Leia, R2, 3P0, and Han, but Prequel Obi-Wan, Padme, Jedi Anakin would be solid offerings in this scale. That 12 inch Kenner C3P0 remains one of my favorite adult collect pick-ups of a Kenner toy I didn't get as a kid. Excellent addition to the collection.
Hey Retro Toy Princess, I have to say if they do fill out this line I am keen to get OT characters that we never saw before and save the finish the 96' for TVC. Very fortunate to be gifted the wonderful C3PO. Thank you my friend!
I wonder if I got the 5POA of Sabine, I could pop her head off and stick it on the TVC figure that recently came out? 🤔 Excellent content once again Mike! 👏 Generous donation from Mark! 😀
If your talking Power of the Force 1985 then yes. 1995 line is a no. I was not feeling those jacked figures back in the day but many people love them. Thank you my friend!
Cool C-3PO, I got one a few months back in pretty good nick for just under £48 incl. (postage). Not sure if that is the going rate, but I'm happy with it!
@dantooine4279 I picked it up at a book store in the late 90s. It was the Hasbro Masterpiece Edition. The book was "C-3PO Tales of the Golden Droid". It goes from between $20ish to $40ish on Ebay.
Do you think this line is probably going to replace the mission fleet because that stuff does not move in my area. We have a discount store called Ollies and it’s having a hard time moving there too and most of it is under $20 and people are still not buying it.
Hey Km, I have not seen the mission fleet releasing new product so that indicates the new 3.75 inch will take over in the new year. Thank you my friend!!!
You and me Mike got back in at the same time. I was all in 5POA. Then before we got ROTS figures Hasbro cancelled in and replaced it with 5in Galaxy of Adventures line which die a painful death. This line won't move a hole lot unless Hasbro goes all in and make playsets and vehicles. But we know they won't.
Hey Ken, I love that Force Awakens 5 POA line as it got many of us back into collecting. I wonder what this new line will do for collectors. Thank you my friend!!
I think these new Star Wars figures are more marketed towards the buyers of Hasbro's currently-running Epic Heroes line of 4" figures which includes the Guardians of the Galaxy and X-Men 97 figure lines, as well as their vehicles. So hopefully that means Hasbro will re-introduce basic Star Wars vehicles too.
I'll get Paz Vizsla for sure and I don't have any problem with 5POA on 3.75" figures. As long as they are cheap and easy to find, then I think it can only be a good thing for the line.
Hello Mike I had no idea that the 5 POA figures were making a comeback. My passion is the black series figures so I'm not going to collect this line, but I'm happy for anyone who wants to. Mike that's a great looking C-3P0 12" figure and appears to be in amazing shape, you're a very fortunate guy. Mike you truly have the most wonderful followers and fans. Thanks for keeping us informed and sharing your latest gifts with us. Take care of yourself and your family my friend. Later, Tom 👍
A running 5POA line wouldn’t be a bad idea….but it’s Hasbro 2023 running it. But we know it’ll probably be just random main figs from diff shows/movies so not much story building and limited short packed troop builders for the kids. And lastly no vehicles for the kids. I’m guessing they’ll also cost too much like the retro line. I’m guessing it’ll be a Christmas cash grab and forgotten about.
i am trying to get the vintage collection ahsoka figures from her tv show, and also any retro collection they are doing, i don't have the money to get these also, even though they are the same figures, i like getting the figures on the boards with the photos from the tv show or movie, like they had on the cards in the 1980s, so i don't mind if kids get these at five below and throw away the boxes, because there is no art on them
Where did you get the transparent figure cases? Those look really nice! Don't know how I feel about the 5 PoA's. Looks like they could directly compete w/their own Retro Collection, so why even bother?
Great show! I would rather see 5 POA figs in the normal line of a bunch of background characters, aliens, and droids. Keep the TVC for main characters but give us more characters in the 1/18/3.75 line Hasbro!
the articulation and price are probably like marvel stuff under the same banner - this requires no detective work. go look at the stuff on the shelves NOW and you'll see how many points of articulation (they have working knees) and the price (truly for kids, not old nerds), maybe a single accessory.
The big ? Is the price. If they are priced right parents will go back to buying them for children to play with and collectors might get the troopers for customizing and army building. If they try pricing them at $12-$15 they will be DOA.
Another bad move by hasbro , kids for the most part have no interest in anything star wars , and i doubt many vc collectors will want them ( maybe army builders for diorama backgrouds ) but on the whole these will be in bargain stores within 12 months of hitting the shops.
Mind-boggling because all the other Epic Hero lines have more articulation. These new star wars figures should be at least $7.99 because of the limited articulation, but they're going to cost the same as the other 9POA Marvel figures. Makes no sense.
Hey Richard, I have a feeling they will be more than $7.99 due to inflation. It really is not good for collectors if you want to pick up plenty of Stormtroopers. Thank you my friend!
I would rather stay with the TVC line. However, I also enjoy the The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker line, if Disney hadn't fouled it up. I also enjoy the prequal, Saga, Legends, and other lines. I'm not for sure about this line. However, each to their own. About the Holocron figures, hmm. I may just get one at a time and try it out. I like how you up dated your display. Looks better. I haven't seen a Boba Fett on Droids carded figure in years.
Hey Scott, The movie line of figures was going along nicely until the films took an un-desirable turn and messed up the toy line! Appreciate the kind words about the display. A Droids Boba Fett would be the biggest grail of all time for me! Greater than a Yakface on cardback? Thank you my friend!
I do really like the look of these figures. They take me back to the old school Kenner days. I’m just not 100% sure where the audience for this is. It kind of falls somewhere between the vintage collection and the retro collection.🤔🤷♂️ Ultimately, it all just feels like Hasbro is trying to take as much of our money as possible… #HasBroken
Hey Sith Care Bear, The figures do sit between TVC and Retro what an interesting perspective. Hasbro is always trying to get as much bang for their buck but Lucasfilm keeps holding them back. Thank you my friend!!
Good time to exit the SW figures collecting and move to Warhammer 40K :) Now i can just sit and wait for the unsold TVCs to get to the price of 10eur max (which already happend in my area). Or simply pack my SW figures and store them and display some other franchise instead.
I like the figures in the 5poa range,, but the backing card is awful,,,,, when i saw the finger nail they looked so much like the cartoon series figures. The backing card looks so cheap. and awful. But glad to see the 5poa figs coming back.
Hey Lamarr, Many TVC fans miss out on certain characters because there is only one version in TBS. Watch as Hasbro puts them into this new line! Thank you my friend!
Real smart promoting an INFERIOR line of toys. We have a hard enough time getting Hasbro to properly budget more $$ for 3.75" TVC figures and now this garbage comes out. NO ONE WANTS 5POA! This junk will be clearanced within 6 months of release.
The return of clearance section... Ollies will be waiting for them. That threepio is just sweet! Good catch
Thank you Palpatine!!!

Great show! I would rather see 5 POA figs in the normal line of a bunch of background characters, aliens, and droids. Keep the TVC for main characters but give us more characters in the 1/18/3.75 line Hasbro!
Hey Timbo, The obscure characters in this line would be great! I'm keen. Thank you my friend!!!
lol 😂Oh, Hasbro. According to Yakface, the Epic Heroes 5 POA line hits stores in the US in JANUARY 2024. JUST IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS.
Wait. What?
Hey Ryan, Christmas HAHA. Thank you my friend!!!
So are these basically RETRO COLLECTION figures or something different !?!?
Hey Sembianteful, They do not have the famous Kenner look as they are designed in a modern version of the characters. Thank you my friend!
I think the 5 POA line should be used to get us more obscure characters that’ll be harder to get in the main line.
Hey SW Nerd, I agree with you there. Thank you my friend!
@@UsualmikeTelevision My pleasure. 😊
the articulation and price are probably like marvel stuff under the same banner - this requires no detective work. go look at the stuff on the shelves NOW and you'll see how many points of articulation (they have working knees) and the price (truly for kids, not old nerds), maybe a single accessory.
Hey Juepucta, This would be easier if I had Marvel Epic Heros stuff on the shelves in my country to compare. Thank you.
Eh, I'll pass on those. I like articulation along with good detail
The big ? Is the price. If they are priced right parents will go back to buying them for children to play with and collectors might get the troopers for customizing and army building. If they try pricing them at $12-$15 they will be DOA.
Hey Darthcerebrus, If the price is right these will sell. if they are overpriced expect them to show up at a discount warehouse. Thank you my friend!
They’re 3.75? I hope they make vehicles we need more vehicles
Another bad move by hasbro , kids for the most part have no interest in anything star wars , and i doubt many vc collectors will want them ( maybe army builders for diorama backgrouds ) but on the whole these will be in bargain stores within 12 months of hitting the shops.
Hey Aboutthemetal, you do make an excellent point. Thank you my friend!
5POA do stand better and are sturdier. BTW... The one from this line I will definitely get is Paz Vizsla.
Hey Konnang Dunn, I was thinking of picking up the same one!
Why...
Can’t wait for everyone to complain about them being only 5 POA and the price doubling in two years if the line is successful 😂
💪😎
Good time to exit the SW figures collecting and move to Warhammer 40K :) Now i can just sit and wait for the unsold TVCs to get to the price of 10eur max (which already happend in my area). Or simply pack my SW figures and store them and display some other franchise instead.
I like the figures in the 5poa range,, but the backing card is awful,,,,, when i saw the finger nail they looked so much like the cartoon series figures. The backing card looks so cheap. and awful. But glad to see the 5poa figs coming back.
Your display looks great 💪🤓
Thank you Geek Strong!!! 💪
I wish Hasbro would just stick with 3.75 inch TVC. We need more TVC figures.
Hey Lamarr, Many TVC fans miss out on certain characters because there is only one version in TBS. Watch as Hasbro puts them into this new line! Thank you my friend!
The vintage collection is the best in my opinion nothing can’t not beat the vintage collection and the black series
Oh crap no again
😂 will never buy those things....hasbro never learn.....it did not worked a few years ago, i don t think it will work in 24
iewwww
Meh. Bah.
Real smart promoting an INFERIOR line of toys. We have a hard enough time getting Hasbro to properly budget more $$ for 3.75" TVC figures and now this garbage comes out. NO ONE WANTS 5POA! This junk will be clearanced within 6 months of release.
Hey Larry, I'm just letting people know. Thank you!
Nobody going to buy those just more star stuff Nobody needs stick to the vintage collection and black series stop making more star wars crap
Meh. These figures just look like Retro 2.0.
