    Such class from FSR! I feel like the eagle guy would've been yelling, screaming, and beating his chest all while standing on the table...
    Great match, congrats to Ruiz!

    • @chili015
      @chili015 Год назад +9

      Shaw only does that in Mosconi Cups... in which, everyone does that in Mosconi Cups. Also, players usually only stand on the table after Major titles. The PLP is nice, but it's not a Major (even though Matchroom will say all their tournaments are "Majors").

      @BabbittdaWabbitt - Seen what once? Standing on the table? That happens after every Major win. FSR did it when he won this year's World 9-ball. SVB did it the year before. Albin did it the year before... and so on. Biado did it when he won the US Open. It's also been a tradition for every winning Mosconi Cup team for a long time now that the entire team gets on the table. I have many more examples.

    These guys are so damn good!! Both of them. FSR Did his job extremely well and that one lucky roll behind the nine closed the deal. We all get lucky sometimes, more some than others. I could use a little more myself. Jayson is a beast and one of my favorites because he’s just a machine. The miss on the 3 ball plus the one lucky roll for FSR and that was it. Jayson was mad at himself, not FSR, but that can’t get in the way of good sportsmanship. I too struggle with myself when I think I could’ve won. No excuse. NEVER SHAKE A MAN’S HAND SITTING DOWN, EVER!
    I too think a longer race for the final is better and think the outcome would’ve been different. However, FSR is for real. Congratulations to him!

    20k top prize for a week long tournament seems like a shame for these top tier players who devote so much time and energy into this game. I appreciate what match room is trying to do, and for the quality video production, but man I hope they can eventually be compensated appropriately! Shaw really only made one mistake and that was a tough shot man, do a race to 100 with him I think the results might be different… 9 ball at this level comes down to a few rolls here or there. Nah I think you are correct. Shaw hit that thin 3 ball with perfect speed for shape on the 4 (which I can’t believe it didn’t fall) then scratched on the break. FSR broke, lost control of cue ball and was extremely fortunate to avoid scratch in corner. 2 great players, but sometimes just a few bad rolls is all it takes to lose a short race. I think Shaw is still the more talented, experienced/savage player between the 2. FSR is killing it lately but I think that will end soon.

      The results of a race to 100 would be the same. It takes positive energy to find that magic FSR has. Go back and look at how FSR took his recent defeat. Jason sounds like he knew he was going to lose before he even started. Pretty sure he was saying “Yep” every time something didn’t go his way, like he expected it.

      @@mario_vicente yes, I totally agree, when you are mentioning his name in some random discussion, it's useful to name him FRS, because there are a lot of Fransicso's there..
      But when the comments are here regarding just two players about their match (in this case Jason and Francisco) I don't really see a reason for so much emphasis, do you feel it's necessary?

    Ruiz's Gesture for the golden break shows why it shouldn't be a win.
    Being apologetic for a frame win is absurd.
    Imagine a Hill-Hill-Golden-break-win in a final...
    I can't think of much more Anticlimactic than that!

    Fundamentally and tempo wise he seems way off for his usual form. Hopefully it was just a bad day
